Varsity touter is a helpful resource for students who have problem with math or other subjects. I highly recommend this resource for all students at school because in my own experience I see a big difference in my children grades after enrolling them into Varsity tutor. The teachers are professional and take their responsibilities seriously. I am very happy that I have found this helpful resource and see my children improvements.
My son really likes his tutors teaching style.
My experience with Varsity Tutors is exactly what I paid for, and that is having a great and experienced tutor to help me prepare for taking the NCLEX. I highly recommend Angelica if you are studying for the NCLEX as she is super knowledgeable, punctual, and adds fun to the tutoring sessions. I do want to mention that I was paired with a different tutor before her who cancelled on me quite a few times - but Varsity's process of requesting a new tutor was smooth and easy and I was paired with Angelica within 24 hours of requesting a new one. Thank you for all you do, Varsity Tutors and Angelica!
the tutor is very professional and kindness, most important is kids lover
The tutor has a lot of patience working with my daughter and knows a lot about the subject. She has also been gracious handling our household distractions from other kids and technical difficulties while I'm not tech savvy at all.
Unbelievable. They placed me into a tutoring session that I did not sign up for twice. I was auto enrolled into more tutoring hours then requested. You can't cancel online. You have to call and then when they finally answer they try to sell you into how they run their operations. Our tutor was great! Don't do it unless you have unlimited funds.

This is the absolute worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They charge you $349 for four hours a month and then place your child with a tutor that does not work for him and take so much time that it runs out the month and then want you to pay for another month to use the hours that you already paid for. This company is pretty much a scam.

Simplicity of instruction and encouraging words along the lesson. Easy to understand and follow.
Piyush is very patient understanding and motivating. My son is struggling, but Piyush is clever approach engages my son and gets him through trigonometry nicely. His grades are already improving thank you Piyush and Varsity Tutors.
My daughter has been taking tutoring lessons once a week for four months. Test scores show that she is getting that extra one on one focus time that is worth every penny. She loves her tutor who is patient and encouraging to her. I will continue to use Varsity because it is a great resource.
I had a very frustrating experience with Varsity Tutors and would not recommend their service.
I signed up for a $249/month plan that included a fixed number of tutoring hours. However, over multiple months, I was charged inconsistently significantly higher amounts above my plan monthly, resulting in $193.90 in additional, unexplained fees (Jan–Mar), plus an extra charge after cancellation in April.
They never agreed to refund the extra charge and only gave me extra credit hours.
The company claims these are “supplemental tutoring fees” for extra time, but I never requested or approved any additional hours. My child only attended scheduled sessions within the agreed timeframe.
What’s most concerning:
There is no clear approval or control mechanism for “extra” time
Tutors can apparently bill beyond scheduled sessions without client consent
Charges are not transparently tracked in the user dashboard
Customer support repeatedly gives scripted responses without resolving the issue
I ended up canceling my subscription because of these unexplained charges, yet I was still billed again afterward.
This billing model feels opaque and, frankly, misleading. At minimum, there should be explicit approval required before any additional billable time is added.

The tutor that we were matched with has been amazing for our child. They were having a hard time with their immersion program, primarily feeling nervous about asking questions and lacking confidence in their abilities. The tutor has built them up and showed them how they are fully capable. Definitely worth the work and time commitment.
Our Tutor was personable, available, and helpful. There was much more we could have done with our membership if we had more time, but we got the education we needed.
The tutor has been absolutely amazing. My son went from struggling significantly to recently earning A’s, and it’s been incredible to see his confidence grow and how he now sets goals for himself. The impact she’s had on his learning and mindset has truly made a difference for our family.
While our experience with customer service has improved, there were moments along the way that felt confusing and a bit frustrating, particularly around billing and communication. There were times I expected changes that didn’t reflect right away, which made things feel a little unclear.
That said, we do appreciate the support we’ve received and the effort to address concerns. Our tutor has been the highlight of this experience, and her dedication is the main reason we’ve continued. With more consistent communication and clarity, the overall experience could be even better.

There are many opportunities on this website to get help. Wether it be with your own personal assigned tutor based on your needs, or the constant support from on demand tutors all the way to even a little AI section where you can generate questions if you want to work alone. Every tutor I’ve worked with so far as well has not only been incredibly kind and helpful, but also patient and not judgmental AT ALL when you don’t understand something (even if it’s the meant to be the simplest thing to most). I’ve been using varsity tutors for about a month or two so far and I absolutely love it! Also did I mention you can get help in ALL SUBJECTS, not just math/science/ELA/history!
