A 10 years Vectric customer
I have been a Vectric customer for about 10 years now, starting out with Vcarve Pro and then upgrading to Aspire about 2 years ago.
Using the Vectric software is like driving a Ferrari for the first time, lots of horse power and somewhat intimidating until you get your feet good and wet. As you become more and more comfortable with the power, you will amaze yourself with the capabilities it possesses.
Even after 10 years, I still get stumped or frustrated and forget how to do things. But that’s where the well written manual and the support groups come into play. Everyone is welcome and willing to lend a helping hand.
Don’t sit on the fence about buying the software. Download the free trial, give it a thorough evaluation. From my perspective, you can’t go wrong if you’re serious about CNC.
Long time user
I have been a user of Vectric software since version 1. I now do mostly carving on my CNC rotary attachment making walking sticks, pens, bowls, and other things. I know and have used many other good software products but none can compare to the range of tools and capabilities of my Aspire software. Now with the new Vectric AI tools to design with, my creative time is now a fraction of what I used to have to do. Vectric software is first class as is their support. I am often asked by many new-comers for advice on CNC machines (I have built quite a few from scratch) and software. My answer for the the software question is always the same - start with the best - go with Vectric!

Great company and software
I've been a Vectric customer for 20 years now. When I first came across their software it was the answer to my prayers as I had been really struggling to get to grips with CNC in general and I didn't fancy forking out the sums that other software cost in case it wasn't for me in the end. I found it easy and intuitive to learn and the customer support was first class. I've never regretted my decision and have upgraded many times over the years to the latest versions and new releases such as Aspire. I appreciate the fact that I can pay for the software once and then it's up to me if I want to upgrade rather than having to pay an annual license fee as many other companies in the field insist on.
I have been a customer of Vectric since 2005
I have been a customer of Vectric since 2005, when they first started their business. I have all their software, where I mostly use the latest upgrade of Aspire. I have made many hundreds of projects using their product. If there are questions about their use of their software, they have dozens of helpful videos. I just started using their EasyCarve feature, creating carvings from photographs, which I'm amazed how great it is.
One of the best software packages I've ever used
I've been using Aspire since 2009 for both hobby and commercial CNC work. Working with Vectric has been one of the best software experiences I have ever had. The software is remarkably bug-free. The preview function is dead-on - if it's in the preview, you will see it in your work, as long as your CNC machine is configured properly. There has been a steady progression of features that have improved the software over the years, and the Vectric staff have been a pleasure to interact with on the occasions I have done so. If you have a hobby CNC machine, or if you need to do quick programs in a commercial setting, the Vectric products are excellent value for the money.
I love Vectric
I love Vectric - having bought VCarve Pro to use in combination with my Ooznest WorkBee cnc machine on the advice of YouTuber, maker and guitar player Tim Sway (visiting at Maker central a few years back) I've no regrets.
All my design work is done in Affinity Designer as that's familiar territory for me, then imported flawlessly into VCarve to set up all the paths etc ready for export to my cnc machine.
With zero experience I was able to follow some of their online tutorials (nicely shot and with excellent pace) to get started and was soon carving and cutting like a pro. It's intuitive and easy to understand despite the vast array of options and strategies that can be applied. Combined with a good catalogue of designs to use, there's no reason not to get proficient quickly.
At the yearly Makers Central show in the NEC, Tod, Beki and the rest of the team greet you like old friends, they're genuinely lovely people.
The software I wish I started with
When I started my CNC journey the software I used was very basic and lacked advanced features. Everyone in the forums told me to use vectric if I wanted to advance in CNC and they were right! It was very easy to understand upon install, they had a full library of tutorials and files so I could learn and practice 3d carving and their tool library made first time carving very easy. The most recent updates have been very solid from a feature standpoint and it’s not monthly subscription model like a lot of those other softwares which is nice. Buy once, cry once and use solid software
All roads lead to Vectric
I've tried other CNC softwares on the market and Vectric is by far the most robust and easy to use. In my experience, the support team has been great. Anytime I've had a question or an issue it has been resolved. Combine this with the free project files, and extensive education videos I feel like they really care about my CNC success.
Really intuitive!
It might be intimidating at first, but once you dive into it, the softwares vrom Vectric are really intuitive. I wouldn't use anything else for my CNC needs. Don't be scared, jump in!
The best in the business!
I can't say enough good things about Vectric, the software and the team. They really are the absolute best! I have had the pleasure of working with them now multiple times and have never been let down. Their support is amazing, quick to respond and knowledgeable. Yes there are orher options out there, but none does it better or as comprehensive as Vectric. I like it say "all roads lead to Vectric" because no matter what program you start with, you'll end up using a Vectric program.

I tied getting support with no luck at all. See on trustpilot common issue, which is sad, because I love the software, just customer support not good at all.
I tried emailing to support with no response, then to online@vectric requesting assistance ticket 301141

Vetric support is terrible
Vetric support is terrible. I emailed them 3 times to get help with a very simple question and the refuse to answer. I called long distance and left a message with no call back. Long story short if you ever have an issue then you’re on your own. Don’t count of them to lift a finger.

Vectric is User Friendly
Vectric is based in England, which is good for the US as they utilize Metric and Standard measurements and both are interchangeable n their programs. They provide good response time to concerns from clients and you gotta understand, there is a 6 hour lag if you email them in the afternoon, it's night over there. I have never had an issue in Vectric programs that was not resolved rapidly. I have used Both VCarve Pro and Aspire as well as my students. I would not even consider switching to anything else. Another advantage is they are employee owned, they all have a personal desire to keep the customers happy. I have attended one of their stateside events, WOW what a group to converse with and no one was left out. Good company, good product, and good Customer Service.

Excellent software
Excellent software. I've been using this for a few months now with a Shapeoko 4x4 machine and Genmitsu 6050 and it is great. REally functional and easy to use.
Highly recommend

Refuse to transfer ownership
My friend purchased Vcarve Pro several years ago. The purchase agreement indicated that the software was fully transferable. Unfortunately, he passed away and left his purchase to me. When I attempted to transfer to my name, Vectric denied my request because they were unable to contact my deceased friend to confirm the transfer. My friend is dead, I have all of his purchase documents, and they refuse to honor the transfer of their fully transferable software.
Very disappointing and unreasonable.

Sad to write this review but has to be said .I have owned vectrics software for many years without any issues until now .I upgraded from 11.5 to 12 and was surprised to find out I had to pay £160 . Never had this before turns out there is a time stamp on your software anything over the 1 year time stamp requires a payment for update .I will think twice in future for any updates .shame on you vectrics
