Scam, Tried it once on a dirt bike i purchased and they signed me up for a 24.95 subscription. Used the 1$ again for a car i was looking at and they signed me up for a 49.95$ subscription this time! they canceled it both times but still it was not disclosed on their site. STAY AWAY. FRAUD. STAY AWAY from this site. They lure you with $1 fee, give no relevant info and a spurious sounding company with name like VINDATA tries to charge $24.95 on your card. Luckily, my card company smelled fraud and declined. Now I need to cancel my card and deal with aftermath!

This company dupes you into signing up for a monthly service by telling you you’re only getting charged $1, and then using ambiguous wording to sneakily sign you up for a recurring $25 monthly charge, effective immediately upon approving the $1 charge. It’s a super slimy way to do business and they know it. If I hadn’t checked my bank account, I never would have known, and I suspect many of their one time customers have inadvertently paid them $25 for months without knowing. Just a gross way to do business. What’s worse is the “report” that was generated literally had no information in it. Thankfully they refunded me. I would avoid this so called “business”.

Complete scam. Says it's $1.00, but there are 2 charges to my CC, $1.00 and $24.99. The report was a joke. It had no relevant information on it. I'm immediately disputing the $24.99 charge and maybe even the $1.00 one- useless. The "pictures" of my car weren't even correct of the cabin as I don't have a 5-speed. Please don't use this "service". They also asked for my telephone number- information I believe is not relevant to the purchase. Below is a cut and paste from their site.

Look at the past several reviews. The company states they are clear with their pricing, and yet several reviewers were surprised by additional charges on their account. If Vehicle History truly cared and were legitimate, they would update their website with clear and accurate pricing. It’s that simple.

You'll find that there's a large banner disclosure that clearly outlines the total cost of the plan, its duration, and the frequency of the charges. The reviews must be fake as i purchased the "$1" report and then get an email form Chase fraud department with a $24.95 charge on my account. I call the 800 number right away and when i question them on what happened they told me that the account is closed and cant help me. VERY VERY Suspicious.

I've been enjoying free vehicle history reports for years so when this company asked for $1 I almost didn't do it, but hey it's just a buck and my report was waiting. What a scam! Yes, they charged me $1 and then the next day $24.95! I immediately disputed the charge with my bank and after getting credit for that they did it again a week later. Steer clear of this company or you will be wasting a lot of time with your bank or credit card company!

Scam! Their website says $1 per report. After you enter your CC information the site shows that you are agreeing to $25/week charge!!!! I never got the report. Their site froze up. I waited 5 minutes and nothing. I called their customer service and they can’t find my transaction information. The lady told me to stop the charge with my bank however the bank tells you to stop with them. SCAM!!!!!!

Scammers, like the others have said they charge your $1 and seconds later $25. I contacted them through Chat and they said that I must have subscribed to their service when I never did. It said download the report, then it said $1 and filled my credit card info and that was it. I’ll update my review if they revert the charges like they said they would.

TOTAL SCAM. DO NOT TRUST. Website advertises a first report for $1 and says further reports would be $25 weekly. I never agreed to pay the $25 weekly but was immediately charged for it anyways even though i only got one report. I emailed the company TWICE asking for a refund and to cancel the payments but still have heard nothing back. Total scam.
