Velbus.CO.UK is the URL for Velbus in the UK Handled by MDAR Ltd. MDAR has been processing all UK orders for Velbus Professional "smart home" hardware for over 10 years. In that time we have seen projects of all sizes, from one bedroom apartments to large properties with multiple floors and rooms. Velbus has been used to control all aspects of properties, Lighting and Heating being the most common, but window blinds, window movements, curtains, shutters, door releases and fountains have been included. Electricians and Plumbers report that installing a Velbus based system is far easier than they expected it to be and has given their customers far better control of their properties, without dramatically increasing the installation costs. Home owners are free to add as much automation or remote access as they need, some choose to do nothing more than configure the hardware buttons to suit their needs, while others integrate all aspects of their properties into one interface. Remote access and Voice control is easily added at any stage, with the simple addition of a choice of third party software. openHAB, HomeAssistant, Control4, Trigrr and others. The important detail that we all try to keep in mind is that an excellent control system should be accessible to all, where the only decision is that of "what more do you do with it" rather that how much of a property to but on the system. Meaning that when directly comparing the installation costs of a full digital control system with a classic solution for both heating and lighting should be about the same (all things considered).
