A BIG THANK YOU on great service.

I would like to say A BIG THANK YOU to the Velobike team. I phoned the maintenance department and described my fault with a team member named Damian. What can I say, he spent time on the phone with me to go through the fault - he diagnosed the fault, told me what the problem was and ordered the part, which arrived a day early. I've fitted the part and now my bike works perfectly.
Thank you once again Damian for your invaluable knowledge and professional service.
I am a very happy customer, Dave.

Warranty not honored. No customer service

On December 23, 2024, I reported that one of the two E-bikes that I received was defective. The pending request is (#10000121). The frame number is : RK22120003. The model is a Rover. I have completed extensive troubleshooting per their instructions and sent a video of the display screen as I attempted to operate the bike. On Jan. 10 I wrote: "Please ship the replacement part within 24 hours via overnight delivery and provide tracking information for the shipment. If you are not able fulfill that request, please send a replacement bike or a full refund." As of January 16, 2024 I have received no response to my very reasonable email request.

Hidden costs and poor quality of product

This item didn't 14months, Ordered on Amazon in July 22 not received until the 29th of October 2022 months later ! Upon delivery the driver made out it come with the wrong battery ? And charged my mum a further £250 on delivery noted on her paper receipt which holds the date of the original order date but not the delivery. The receipt show her payments on Amazon was £1850 then she was charged for the battery so in total she was charged £2066.25. It’s now 14 month old it broke 3 months ago and they wanted to charge her £400 for a call out fee but couldn’t come out, luckily we were able to get a technician that discovered the circuit board was soaking. Severe design flaws ! It’s poor quality looks good but needs to keep water out of the circuits as it causes burn outs.
This company does not seal the circuits only the wires Damien confirmed this on a phone call I Made to Velo bikes Uk. The advertisement is misleading it makes out this mobility scooter can go off road. However the item is not fit for purpose or as described as a uk manufacturer when is actually polish manufactured based in Poland ran by Jakub Marek. Design flaws. They do not seal the circuit boards which collect condensation and eventually blowout due to the water droplets forming, this can potentially cause a fire with the powerful lithium this is what happened to my elderly disabled mother. when speaking to the customer service. I spoke to Damian. He was rude, patronising dismissive, and all he wanted to do was charge my vulnerable mother more money ignoring her consumer rights, to repair or replace. Upon delivery of this item, I have just been informed the delivery driver suddenly realised the wrong battery was installed this was a higher better quality and in fear of my mother not having her scooter delivered charged her further £250. This is the biggest scam in the book and I can cannot wait to report UK fraud Amazon where my mother initially bought it and a trading standards.

Email update 3 months after the original complaint and trading standards advice and their email looks like they are trying to play the injured party when my mother has been the one without a mobility scooter now for three months while we sort this out And imply I would lie about this matter for the love of my mother ! They don’t seem to understand between quality issue and warranty issue. They are claiming it’s out of warranty so they’re going to charge a reduced amount to see my mum’s mobility scooter. We have now requested, subject access to so-called phone calls under GDPR rules. They are just time wasting, and at this stage, we are looking to proceed with court.

Veleco FasterBlack

The technician came today as arranged and repaired all the problems I was having. The technician was first class and clearly knew what he was doing. He even gave it a good polish.

Dangerous Mobility bike.

As a disabled person I bought a mobility vehicle from Velobike.UK. It developed a dangerous fault as it propelled me out of control into a stationary car. They are in denial and won't compensate me for the damage to the owner of the car that is hit. Nor will they take it back and return its cost unless I pay them £250 to collect it! In the video you will see that I was inching it carefully onto the road when it lurched out of control at speed across the road into the car. I have increased back pain ever since.
I took Lumex to the small claims court and got a good result. See below.
Video of the crash on YouTube. Under: Crash composite
It may look like I deliberately drove the vehicle into the car but the electronic control system locked into full power. Think about it, No Mobility Scooter should even be capable of doing a wheelie while carrying a handicapped person. This a genuine fault in the control electronics.
If you have a Velobike Draco from Lumex DO NOT do as I did and inch the throttle in an attempt to move slowly. You could injure yourself and others.
Court action notice served against Lunex Technology Ltd (Owners of Velobike) 21/7/21.The Small Claims Court has now informed me that they have decided the case will go ahead and either it will be settled by mediation or a court appearance. I can't believe that Velobike will be so stupid as to contest this. I have video evidence of the crash and now two witnesses that have seen the scooter perform this dangerous action.

* Court case on 15/3/2023. Results:
Judge ordered that cost of scooter to be fully reimbursed plus
Compensation to be paid.
Scooter to be collected by Lumex at their cost.

Not as much compensation as I requested but justice done.

Veleco ZT 15 disability scooter £1150

This should be an excellent review as up to and including delivery it was. Since then I have reported the bike jumps forward when the slightest movement on the throttle is applied which is very dangerous in busy areas like supermarkets/ pavements etc. and when using freewheel it makes a gear grinding noise. It does not happen when reversing which proves it was not poor input from me.. I was just fobbed off without any help. Heaven help me if it breaks down completely!!!
