Great service
Great service, not so the product
Email confirmation and delivery sent out the following day. Arrived within 48hrs!!!
The product not so good - hopefully just a battery connection issue which will get sorted.
Spur cycle bell
Great, quick service.
I first ordered a Chinese replica version of this bell from the internet. It looked the same but was rubbish as it didn’t work when tightened! Having replaced it with the genuine article from Velorution I’m now delighted.
The old adage “buy on price, buy twice” could never be more appropriate!
Avoid at all costs
I wouldn’t have given any stars but I had to give a minim of one.
I ordered a £90 helmet 5 weeks ago only to be advised it is now out of stock, although the helmet is still available online to order in the color and size I originally purchased. I believe this company is making its money by selling products it doesn’t have, disgraceful behavior from what portrays its self as a legitimate business.

zero service!
zero communication!
After calling and emailing about a product that was listed as in stock when I purchased online but only to find out it wasn't in stock. I have tried to cancel my order via phone and email. I have had no communication and no refund after a week... I'm still waiting. The service is a disgrace.. I don't think they have ever heard of goodwill.
poor communication & customer service & no complaints procedure
I ordered & paid for an expensive e-bike (in the thousands) on the 15th May, was told the bike was in stock so would be delivered in approximately 10 days.
When I contacted the shop at the end of May I was informed that the bike was in the shop but they were waiting for the battery to be delivered, they also said delivery could be 4 - 5 weeks from the order date, a big change from the original information. 4 weeks on and more phone calls I have been told the battery was lost in transit & they have had to order a new one. At no point did they contact me to let me know there was a problem. I understand that bike shops are very busy and that there has been a huge upsurge in people buying bikes but I really feel they don't care and are giving me the run around.
AVOID
AVOID! The overall customer service is poor and is all-round frustrating experience. The staff are unprofessional and difficult, at times appearing to be bothered and inconvenienced by a potential buyers enquiry; their manner was quite rude and dismissive. They don't seem to know what stock they have or how long for orders to come in. Their lack of customer consideration was an overall frustrating and displeasing experience!
Strongly recommend to avoid Velorution.
Don't waste your time
Don't waste your time
3 weeks ago I spent £700 on a bike on online. Money was taken from my account straight away and I received an email confirmation of my purchase. I emailed customer service a few times asking when I can expect delivery but no response. I phoned up yesterday only to find out that the bike was not in stock when I purchased it (despite it still being "in stock" days after my purchase") and I will not be getting the bike as they do not have it. The company were happy to take and hold on to the money knowing there was no bike. Customer service blamed it on a "dodgy website". I should have read the other trust pilot reviews first...
Zero follow up or follow through - don't spend money on this company
I don't ever feel the need to write a poor review, and understandably these are exceptional and tricky times for businesses. But I was left very disappointed with how Velorution conducted business. Their website didn't list that the product was out of stock, so allowed me to make the purchase. They didn't email with a 'thank you for your order', I had to chase this from them 3 days later. I got a simple reply saying "This is currently processing and we will be in touch once confirmed." I then had to chase another week later, to which they replied "sorry, we should have emailed to say this is out of stock".
I'm mostly gutted because I invested my time with this company, and now I have certainly missed the window to get a road bike given the current high demand. The customer service is terrible, and based off previous reviews, I'm not the only one who thinks so.
My advice would be that you shouldn't trust this company with large sums of money.

Happy to take money for products not in stock
I would be a little bit careful buying online from this company.
I ordered a bike for my daughter online - they took the money, there was no e-mail confirmation so I followed up on the order. They replied the same day which was good) but only to say the bike I ordered was out of stock. I'm not sure how long that would have taken if I hadn't followed up.
They have assured my that a refund will be processed shortly. But not particularly impressed that they take money for a product they are not able to provide. Would recommend checking with them before ordering.
The most arrogant and elitist bike shop…
The most arrogant and elitist bike shop in london:
I was passing with my family on a bike ride and my pedal failed. I pulled in to ask them for help and an extremely surly staff remember came to the door said that I would have to book it in to their workshop! I pointed out that I was in need of help then and there but he said 'someone has nicked our spanner'. I asked if they (being a bike shop) might have another one and he said they didn't. I asked if perhaps they could sell me a spanner and he replied that they dont sell them. About as unfriendly and unhelpful as it was possible to be. I was completely flabbergasted.
Obviously they are enjoying very good trade at the moment and feel that customer service can go hang. I went to a hardwear store along the street and they were very helpful and got their tool box out. I gave them £10 for their trouble and we went on our way.
I it is a great pity that they are so up themselves. I am actually about to buy an electric bike for £3-4k and their shop was one I was going to visit. Clearly they dont need the business. Fully Charged in Bermondsey see to understand how to treat people.
I placed an online order with…
I placed an online order with Velorution nearly 2 months ago for an item (Gates Carbon Drive Belt) which was listed as 'in stock' on the website. Nothing has been delivered. My credit card was debited on the day the order was placed. I've sent multiple emails to enquire about delivery date and phoned several times. The people who usually answer the phone say that they don't know anything about the online orders (despite the phone number being the one on the online order acknowledgement). When I finally spoke to someone who handled the online orders he apologised, explained that the item was not in stock and had to be ordered from Gates and claimed that their delivery had gone astray, he promised delivery in a few days. That was over a week ago but nothing has been delivered. It's beginning to looks as if Velorution's online operation is a scam. Avoid!
disappointed
I bought my Brompton from hackney branch they were absolutely non communicative throughout the process and gave me no information about my free service within 90 days AND literally ignored me. Was very disappointed.
Secondly again....
I had a crash and this time I went to Velorution in Islington. I left my bike for a week and once I collected the cycle but didn’t ride it home, I used public transport- no helmet on me at the time.
Anyway
3 days later on my route to work I realised my back tyre was not inflated. Phoned them and the response was:- my cycle was checked! And the tyres were inflated.
I was furious as a simple thing like this was missed. My back tyre was obviously not inflated at all as it was squishy and very soft to touch.
Before my crash there was nothing wrong with my tyres.
I wanted my bike to be safe to ride.
THIS HAS MADE ME QUESTION WHETHER MY CYCLE WAS EVER CHECKED AT ALL.
To add the guy on the phone in Islington not the repair guy is an absolute diamond.

Had I paid for them, I would be quite annoyed. As it is, merely mildly disappointed.

Order arrived on time and quickly
Order arrived on time and quickly. Th only problem was that one piece was not in the parcel and we were not informed that it was out of stock. We had to call the shop to know about it.
They were very kind and refunded…
They were very kind and refunded (promptly) my accidental second purchase of a helmet and Andy also got in touch and apologized when they hadn't sent a tracking number.
I appreciated the email he sent and would definitely look at purchasing from them again because I now know I can trust them when there are problems and when mistakes are made they fix them.
Communication is important when you are buying from the other side of the world and can't just pop in to a store to sort things out.
Cheers, Anna.
