My mother has been trying to send me…

My mother has been trying to send me money via this trash app. It doesn’t work, I tried having the money transferred to my Paypal via Visa+ and it didn’t process. We tried sending via PYUSD and she was uncomfortable giving them her ID. It won’t even let me create an account using my U.S. non-VoIP tel# for some mysterious reason. I hope this company folds, they’re total trash.

Terrible service

Made a transfer of around 9 grand 6 days ago. It still hasn't shown up in my account. First service rep told me I'd have it last night. The next said 3-5 days. The next said 6-7 days. The 4th said 10 days. (They all had ridiculous accents, and you could barely understand them) That was a supervisor, and she hung up on me.
I'll be using cashapp from now on.

Wouldn't let me use my money

Wouldn't let me use my money, wouldn't let me transfer. No ohone number to talk to customer service directly. It took me 45 minutes to get in touch with an agent. What he told me did not work and proceeded to start the entire process all over again. Needless to say I wasn't able to make a payment and when I was able to transfer the money to my account they charged me $9 to do so. I will never use this app again. Thank you for stealing my money!

Werry. bad. company. I don't advise anyone, not even my opponent. You're just some kind of trash can.

The worst company is theirs, it's better not to do anything here. I just put the crypt there. I wanted to change it. They changed it. But I've been waiting for the sixth day. They do this on purpose. They seem to be doing their business with your funds and then they return it. It's just some kind of garbage. You don't use it.

Wish I saw all the terrible reviews before I made a purchase on Venmo. Customer service is nearly impossible to reach and can't do anything if you haven't received a product. At least it was only $40 and not $4000.

Got a fraudulent charge for $21

Got a fraudulent charge for $21, (yes, only $21!!), dealt with Venmo and they refused to refund. Got proof from Microsoft it was fraud (although it was painfully obvious by the receipt itself), submitted to Venmo...still refusing to pay telling me that because I did use Venmo to pay MS years ago, it "must be legitimate". Went to the CFPB, they contacted Venmo...told them the same LIE. Venmo has stolen from me and refuses to make it right. DO NOT USE, they enable digital crime.

Venmo stated that the funds had cleared…

Venmo stated that the funds had cleared my account and that the crypto purchase was completed. When I attempted to use the crypto, I was informed that the funds were not available, despite Venmo’s confirmation that everything had cleared.

I contacted customer service and was told there was nothing they could do. This was a business transaction, and as a direct result of Venmo’s error, I lost the deal and incurred financial loss.

This was not user error. It was a Venmo system failure, and customer service was completely ineffective. Being told to “wait” does nothing except give Venmo time to correct their own mistake at my expense.

I will not use Venmo again.

I want to give them zero stars

I want to give them zero stars. Venmo is allowing a Bingo Game from Aviagames to remove money from Venmo although Aviagames is under investigation for fraudulent activities. Aviagames has a class action suit against in the state of Ca. Of course, Temu, a multi billion company had in fine print that they "no not cover certain purchases". I will never use Temu again.

Horrible and unprofessional

I tried to setup a Venmo account from my computer and it took forever, the interface was so clunky. I read it is social media oriented and found that accurate. if you run into problems, good luck, the only access I could found was talking to some AI bot that could not answer anything but pre-scripted questions. Although I got my account created, it would not allow me to send money. I gave up and asked them to cnacel the account. They said it would take weeks for them to do that. I give it less than a 50/50 chance the account will actually get cancelled without further follow up. Using something like Zelle is so much more professional and I prefer professional for money matters.

I can see Venmo has a 1 star review. Their customer service is terrible. I've been able to pay 2 other credit cards with my bank no problem. I was on the phone with my bank, venmo, and synchrony. I kept getting transferred back and forth from Venmo and Synchrony about 7 times over the last 2 days trying to add my bank to pay my bill. I tried the app, I tried the web. My bank is not the issue. I Uninstalled and Installed Venmo. Those people don't know what they are doing. After 6 hours over 2 days I could not pay my bill. NOT MY FAULT. GET IT TOGETHER VENMO...GET IT TOGETHER. I regret the day I got a card from them.

Customer Service

It takes entirely too long to get a hold of someone to resolve an issue over the phone. Also, the chat is not helpful at all. If the issue is an in depth problem, they tell you to respond to an email that you should have received, for help. Kind of hard to respond to a no-reply email.....

Venmo is a scam

Venmo is a scam . They tell you to watch out for scammers and they are the scammers . Was told 100 different things via chat , email and phone call . All to get money someone transferred to me . They said it’s just stuck in the air because I needed to update my number . I call them back and offer my id and phone bill for verification . They update my number and now the money can’t be transferred to me or cancelled ? Luckily I took all the screenshots and have all the call recordings . I’m going straight to a lawyer because I’m certain they have done this to many people and have all of our money sitting somewhere untouched .

I couldn't make an account because my phone number is tied to a stranger's account. I went on their website to find ways to fix the issue, but wound up trying to contact them anyway. Can't activate new debit card

It's ridiculous when you have a card expiring so they send you a new one but you can't activate it because they didn't do anything right on their end. It takes forever to talk to a person and then they just have to send another new card in order for you to be able to use the money on your account. What's the point of a debit card if you can't even fricken activate it.

I wouldn't recommend Venmo ever this company is fraud and they hold your money with a fake restriction without any legal explanations my money been froze since Thursday night! Here it is Monday morning! Do not use this app run!
