I'm very happy about the quality of the teaching

It's easy to schedule a lesson and it's nice to become an e-mail with the resume after the class. I'm an online teacher myself ( teaching French for my own online school) and I can evaluate the quality of the german Teacher I chose, Thanks

Good product

I have enjoyed using Verbling. I prefer it to the other similar platforms that I have tried because of the integration of technology during the classes. It is very easy for my teacher to introduce shared materials during our class. It makes it much more meaningful experience. I have only used one teacher so far but she is extremely high-quality. I recommend it highly

Pros and Cons

Great platform, except for the app. Students can hardly connect on video using the app, which is very frustrating for both parties. Otherwise, I enjoy the flexibility it allows to create lesson plans and schedules.

Good site, crap video page!

Good site, but the fact you have to use the sites online video call page is such a pain because it's simply not as good as Skype, which creates a dilemma for the teachers, they have to use the site's call page but the students ask them to use Skype.....which they are not allowed to use. Come on Verbling sort it out!!

Platform is equipped with all the tools you need for e-learning. There is a huge selection of French teachers and I was happy to find one specialised in TEF, which I'll be rating in a des months. My lessons are coing well so far. M'y teacher is punctual, knowledgeable and plans out each lesson. I recommend Verbling unreservedly.

There are simply better options

There are simply better options. Verbling has several limitations that the other platforms do not:

1. Verbling prevents you from contacting or corresponding with your selected teacher in any manner other than through Verbling's website. It will not permit you to share a Skype address or email address. This seems somewhat paranoid as Preply and Italki both permit this. I simply prefer Skype for my classes. Verbling prohibits this.

2. When you are searching for a teacher, Verbling will show you three possibilities then pauses to load further options. I am not certain why these delays are required by Verbling...does it create a dramatic effect?

3. By simply scheduling a single class, you receive a number of notifications and are awarded with various "badges". You literally receive "reward notifications" for "reaching out" and other simply silliness.

Verbling has a function and if it were the only similar platform, it would be fine. However, Preply and Italki (especially) are simply better options.
