Dreadful experience culminating in a…

Dreadful experience culminating in a safeguarding complaint to the Local Authority and CQC. Visits omitted, breakfast visit at 1pm-obviously this company prefers confused clients whose complaints can be dismissed. Unfortunately for them my father has full capacity so he made phone calls to family members who made mad dash emergency visits. I had been phoning from 9am after Dad first called me and was repeatedly told that although the carers were running late they would definitely be there in 20 minutes. Pure lies. By the time we arrived, after 12.30 and still no carers, the catheter was backed up and over flowing as it had not been attended to for over 18 hours. Dad was hungry, thirsty, wet and dirty.
On a separate occasion a ham sandwich which had been bought and left for tea was spread with marmalade and presented instead of toast for breakfast. When Dad asked for a cup of tea was given a can of Coke! Slap dash uncaring attitude- assumed Dad would be disregarded as senile- that was their first mistake. Please under no circumstances use this agency.

Extremely Poor Service

I had high hopes for this agency as their webpage seemed like a very caring company. From day one there were issues with them. One carer just couldn’t be bothered which caused issues with other care agency staff who doubled up.Another carer had just arrived in the country 5 days and couldn’t hoist my mum putting mum at risk. The carers lived over 1.5hrs away which caused attendance issues. One carer who was nice and capable was removed when they felt like it and sent her elsewhere. The care manager was not interested in my mums needs and wanted to do what she wanted. On challenging her the care manager gave 5 days to withdraw care despite their legal 30 days notice. They were forced to abide by their 30 days notice by the CCG. She stated that carers would learn at the client which due to mum being extremely vulnerable I refused to have my mum as a training ground. I complained about the care manager to the director and got a reply by the care manager I was complaining about. In 12 years of having care agencies this one is the worse ever and in my opinion not fit for purpose. I am lodging a complaint to CQC.
