I recently purchased a car from Vertu Hyundai Edinburgh west and had a great experience from start to finish. Scott made the whole process very efficient and straightforward, taking the stress out of buying a new car.
He really bent over backwards to make sure everything worked for me — not only did he manage to get the monthly payments to a figure I was comfortable with, but he also secured a great price for my trade-in, even more than I was expecting.
Scott went above and beyond throughout the whole process. He was extremely knowledgeable about the car he sold me, answered all my questions clearly, and made sure I understood everything before driving away. On top of that, he was very polite and professional, which made the experience even better.

Stay clear of this garage
Stay clear of this garage . They are horrendous at all thing they do . From booking service to customer service. I've had an ongoing problem with car for over year and now warranty won't fix the problem because car is more than two years old. 62k pound car supposed to have 5 year warranty. Joke

Dermot was very helpful and had a good knowledge of the vehicle we purchased. He didn't push us towards purchases and products.
So far everything is fine with our new purchase. We just have to get our heads around all the functions, but that's part of the fun of new ownership.

Excellent service despite an unexpected delay
I dropped into Vertu Hyundai - Edinburgh West unannounced after visiting another nearby dealership, and from the moment I arrived I was given a warm, friendly welcome. After explaining that I was looking to buy a small car and had shortlisted a few models to test drive, I was introduced to Dermot, who took the time to understand what I was looking for. He showed me around the relevant cars in the showroom and offered test drives without any pressure or hard selling. I drove the Hyundai i10 N Line, which immediately stood out to me, and I left that first visit with a clear idea of costs and an open invitation to return if I wanted to take things further. Later the same day, Dermot also sent me a short personalised video walk-around of the exact car I had viewed, which was a thoughtful and helpful touch.
I returned later that week, again unannounced, with my mum to have another look and discuss the car further. By then I had test driven several competitors’ models and felt confident the i10 was the right choice. Dermot went through a detailed and transparent cost breakdown, which gave me confidence to place a deposit. Throughout the process he struck what felt like the ideal balance (knowledgeable and informative, but relaxed and never pushy) which made the experience enjoyable and reassuring rather than stressful.
One small detail that also stood out was how spotless the customer facilities were, particularly the toilets, which were noticeably cleaner and better maintained than those I had encountered at several other dealerships I visited during my search.
The only difficult part of the experience came just before collection. After I had paid the remaining balance, Dermot contacted me to explain there was a company-wide issue registering vehicles with the DVLA. Although the delay was frustrating, especially as it lasted several days, the dealership kept me well informed throughout and I never felt left in the dark. They also offered a courtesy car if the issue continued into the weekend, which I appreciated.
Once the problem was resolved by Hyundai, I collected the car on Friday morning. Dermot was unavailable that day, but the handover was handled smoothly by the manager, Dale, and another salesperson, Kelson. As a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience, the dealership filled the fuel tank rather than providing the standard amount, which I felt was a thoughtful and generous way to acknowledge the delay.
Overall, my experience was very positive. I felt welcomed, well looked after, and supported in making a decision at my own pace. The team were professional, approachable, and communicative throughout, which made buying the car feel straightforward and enjoyable despite the unexpected registration issue.

He allowed a test drive with time to get a decent feel for the vehicle and allowed me to bring vehicle to house to access if it would fit into our driveway.
