Toyota Vertu Ayr a pleasure to deal with
I visited the Vertu Toyota showroom in Ayr in May 2026 to test drive a Toyota CHR + EV. The Vertu staff were all very welcoming and professional. From greeting you as you enter the showroom and throughout the buying process they are all professional and friendly. The showroom itself is well laid out and clean and within the space available the cars are well laid out on display.
Scott Tudhope our sales contact was a pleasure to deal with. He is knowledgeable about the cars and is able to answer most questions and will come back to you with information for anything that he needs to confirm. He took time with us prior to a test drive of a CHR+ EV to make sure that we were familiar with the controls and features and as we drove he was informative but gave you time to explore and enjoy the car.
The sales process was well organised and we received our car in excellent condition within a month. Whenever we called during the period until we collected the car our calls were answered quickly and we were put through to the appropriate person.
Trading in our old car and buying a new car from Vertu Ayr was a well organised, efficient but pleasurable experience and I would recommend them to others wishing to make a purchase.
By the way the Toyota CHR + EV is a beautiful car and a pleasure to drive. We love it.

I travelled some distance across Scotland to visit Vertu Toyota Ayr, based on the quality and price of the vehicles they were selling, coupled with their excellent reputation in online reviews and I was not disappointed. Cameron was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. After reserving the car via Autotrader over a weekend, I was contacted by Vertu HQ around 8:30am on Monday morning with a reassuring update. By 9:30am on Monday the Ayr branch had contacted me directly and I had booked an appointment to inspect the car later that week. I was able to make arrangements to drive the car home on the same day of my appointment, should I wish to proceed. The car was presented in immaculate condition and in general the whole process exceeded my expectations. Cameron was honest, not at all pushy and incredibly helpful. Needless to say, I completed the purchase and drove the couple of hours home in my lovely new Toyota, as a very satisfied customer. I cannot recommend Cameron and the sales team at Vertu Toyota Ayr highly enough! I really did feel like a valued customer. Thank you Cameron and team for a first class buying experience - you surely are a testament to the Toyota brand!!

The best toyota approved dealership
I just bought a Toyota C-HR from Vertu online through Toyota Ayr. I'm from Bristol, so I was only able to find the right model I was looking for at their dealership. Right from the start, everyone was so friendly and made the whole purchase feel really easy. Cameron made sure I was getting everything I was paying for. There were some minor advisories on the previous MOT, which I noticed. Cameron looked into it right away and sorted everything out so the car was fully serviced. When it arrived, it had a fresh MOT with no advisories.
They also sent the car all the way from Scotland to Bristol with an amazing trade driver. He gave me a little ride tour and showed me all the functions of the car, as it’s a Hybrid e-CVT automatic. The manager Graham explained all the documentation clearly and transparently. They also accepted my request and gave me a reasonable discount on the delivery charge.
Rebecca from online customer service was really kind and helpful. In fact, she made sure I felt comfortable throughout the whole process, especially since I couldn’t visit the dealership myself. I received detailed photos and a personal video tour of the car, which helped a lot.
Overall, 5 stars.

Incompetence taken to new levels!
I have had my van booked in for a safety recall 3 times now and on each occasion I was told the work would be getting done, only to be told that either the “specialist tool” wasn’t in or the part wasn’t in. This is over a period of 6 months. Toyota Vertu Ayr had actually contacted me by telephone the day before the van was booked in and he confirmed that the part and “specialist tool” were in the garage and that the work would be getting done.
The Toyota recall letter states “The bolt may fail which may affect controllability of the vehicle and increase the risk of accident”. Toyota Vertu Ayr seem more interested in drumming up extra work for themselves through “free health checks” rather than fixing safety issues with my vehicle.
Let’s hope I don’t crash due to this safety issues and have to get Digby Brown involved!(other lawyers are available!)
