A great start

First time using this and it actually helped. I'm low-histamine and have to avoid a lot of additives because of hives and eczema, and this made it easier to find stuff I can eat without reading tons of labels. It's still early, but when I flagged a product that was tagged wrong, support fixed it in minutes. I'd love to see more stores added soon. I shop at Target a lot.

How did this not exist before?

I have a crazy no eat list- dietary restrictions galore. It got to the point I was spending 2 hours a night researching foods that had no gluten, soy, dairy and nuts. Heard about Verve Market from an influencer and it has been life changing. All I do is tell the site what I'm allergic to and it gives me a ton of food that I can eat. Things that I never thought I'd be able to enjoy again. You just put what you want in your cart and the food delivers in the same day. I'm now hooked and have my evenings back again.

Food Doesn’t Stress Me Out Anymore

Having IBS means food is kind of always in the back of my mind. Grocery shopping used to take forever because I’d be standing there reading labels, checking ingredients on my phone, and still not feeling confident I picked the right thing.

Finding Verve Market changed that for me.

Now I can just go to the site and immediately see food that actually works for my low-FODMAP diet. I don’t have to guess or overthink it. I can find what I need really quickly and be done.

I also love that I can choose delivery or pickup depending on the day. When I’m busy, I get it delivered. When I’m already out, I just pick it up. Either way, it saves me so much time and stress.

It might not sound like a big deal, but if you live with IBS, it really is. Not worrying so much about food has made everyday life a lot easier.

Don't do it

Don't do it. Our order was nearly an hour late last night (and they had a four-hour window...) and what did Verve say about it? Nothing they could do about it...it was the store's fault, not theirs! So, avoid this place at all costs. Our first time using Verve, and our last. Not a great first impression. By the way, when I place my order through you, give you my money...I'd say it's your responsibility, your problem. So yes, I think you're the one who should have to give me my money back if I'm unhappy, if my order does not show up in the promised amount of time. You shouldn't shirk it off on someone else. But that's fine. We won't be back. Hopefully, no one else will be, either.

Hi Melissa — Andrés here (founder & CEO of Verve).

I’m really sorry your first order arrived that late — and you’re right to expect us to own the experience when you order through us. Even if the delay starts at the store, it’s still your night and your groceries, and we should’ve handled it with more care and clearer communication in the moment.

After I learned what happened from my team, I reached out directly and issued a full refund. I also want to thank you for the feedback — it was clear and helpful, and we’ve already used it to tighten how we communicate and support customers when something goes sideways.

We’re building Verve because we care deeply about making grocery shopping less stressful and more reliable for people with dietary needs, and we’re working hard to get this right consistently.I also really appreciate you giving us a second shot, and I was genuinely glad to hear your next order went perfectly.

That’s the experience we’re aiming to deliver from the start.

Wishing you all the best,
Andrés
