This was for Viator Niagra Falls Canada…

This was for Viator Niagra Falls Canada boat excursion. We arrived early only to find NO PARKING and address was a Police Station. Of course we missed boat because we couldn't illegally park in a handicap or police only spot. Such a disappointment!

Scheduled a tour in Boston

Scheduled a tour in Boston. Guide sent us a text with just the street number and name and it took us to a difference city 25 minutes away. By the time we found where we were suppose to actually meet they were gone and well into the tour. We paid almost $300 for the tour that did not happen. They said they would investigate the situation. I sent them pics of text with the time stamp and came back as no refund 48 hours later. So we did not get a chance to reschedule or get a refund. I’m s mother of 4 children and this was for my oldest daughter’s birthday. It was her her sister and myself scheduled for the tour. Really sad that a company does not stand behind their services. Would not recommend due to customer service.

Zero stars if I could

Zero stars if I could! Booked a trip for a waking tour of Amsterdam. Paid 65€ for my husband and I. Showed up 20 minutes early, and waited over 35 mins for a tour that never happened. Contacted Viator for a refund and they said they would review and I would have a reply within 72 hours. Contacted them again and they said they did a thorough investigation and offered a rescheduled tour. We left the country the following day, so a reschedule was not possible. We had taken some pictures when we arrived so had all our time stamped proof that we were there for the tour & that it didn’t occur. Viator completely ignored this and flatly refused to refund us any part of our payment. They said the booked had been locked. I asked why when there was a refund pending (I highly doubt this was done at all) , but got no proper answer at all, just regrets that they couldn’t be more helpful. Truly awful company to deal with. Do not recommend.

Private Northern Lights tour with Icelandic pastries and Liquor - Booking ref: BR 1110034693

SHAME ON YOU VIATOR AND HOLIDAY TOURS - BR1110034693
As a special treat during my holiday in Iceland I had been invited by some close friends to join them on what was advertised as a Private Northern Lights tour with Icelandic treats and liquor. This was to be the highlight of my stay in Iceland but proved to be a massive let down.
At the outset, our private party was assured that there was a 95% probability that we would see the lights and we were driven to a remote spot about 50 minutes away from the pick up point. Upon arrival we were told that conditions were perfect and that we were in an ideal location to witness the lights.
The driver /guide said that one of his colleagues was at another spot and was sending him periodic text messages reinforcing his supreme confidence that the lights would be visable shortly. It was very cold but bizarrely the driver was unable to work out how to turn the heating on. While we waited, he attempted to appease the party by offering us shots from an already open bottle of the local Icelandic liquor and biscuits that he had in a ziplock plastic bag. It was becoming apparent that the driver/guide did not have even basic knowledge about the phenomenon and that this was not the organised tour that had been paid for. Sure enough, within 35 minutes the 95% chance of seeing the lights had disappeared with a statement that we wouldn’t witness any lights that night and the party was driven back to the drop off point.
Our party was not best pleased with this shambolic tour, including the unsatisfactory service and outcome, but accepted our fate in the belief that Viator and the tour company would at the very least respond to our grievances and honour the refund that was due as a result of the no Northern light show, as agreed at the time of booking
The cost of this “tour” was not insignificant and I was disgusted to learn that to date the organisers of the party have yet to receive any reply in response to repeated e-mail communication. SHAME ON YOU VIATOR AND HOLIDAY TOURS!!!

Legendary Venice St Mark's Basilica and…

Legendary Venice St Mark's Basilica and Doge Palace. This tour was extremely long and boring. The lady who provided the tour talked too much about things that were uninteresting, she had at least 6 kids on the tour, and they got NOTHING from the information she provided. She spoke in a bad accent difficult to understand There was also a lengthy break in the middle, and by the time she got to the doge Palace, she had lost both families with children

No food included in food tour price

We went on a food tour in athens and were then charged for the food ontop of everything.
I asked viator if the cost of the tasting was included and they said yes.
When I said I had to pay they told me that because the tour guide had said we had to then we did.
Do not use.

we tried multiple time to cancel - ignored

we tried multiple time to cancel a walking tour after my partner got 6 stitches in his foot. Viator and their staff ignored us and kept the money.. and then when I tried to get a refund they sent their legal jerks to be arrogant at us citing 100% no refunds. these people aren't human; they are scam artists. We messaged them 3 times over 2 days with proof from hospital, and even photos showing that my partner couldn't do a walking tour with 6 stitches in his heel. they don't care - in it for the money. stay away from their crappy service.

Highly NOT RECOMMAND!!!

Highly NOT RECOMMAND!!!

We booked our two tours with Viator in Croatia, one zipline and one ATV.
Not given all the information needed on pickup points etc, we had to call their information number.

Coming home, as a shock, we get a bill from the phonecompany for 233 euros for calling their service number.
To be well prepared I bought free calling and internet in croatia, so nothing like this would happen, but little did we know that their information number was American.

I explane the phonecomany what had happened and they tell me to contact Viator, that they need to be responsable for this 233 euros, since there were no information of an american service number, nor that you would get charged calling it. This is plane foolery.

Contacting Viator, they wont take the bill, giving excuses, trying to do everything to not get charged. Now we have 233 euros billing, including the cost of the two adventure trips.

I have never encountered such bad customer service. Lack of empathy and plain foolery!!!! REALLY REALLY BAD!

Theyve told me to contact them and I have, with no reply.

Bad service

We booked two trips in Egypt month ago.
While we were sitting in the hotel lobby waiting to be picked up 12.30, as written in our reservation, nobody showed up. After a while Viator wrote, that we would picked up 14.10. Nothing happend. After a while Viator wrote, that we had to wait to the day after, as there were not enough tourists to go on the tour. But the next day we were still only the three of us.
On the other trip, we had booked, Viator wrote the same day, that they had to cancel. The offered us a trip monday, but monday we were going back home.
10pm they called us to offer a trip the next day which ment, we had to change other plans.
Very bad service.

Overpriced, overlong and mis-represented

The description of the tour was completely inaccurate. When we booked we were told by an agent that 'there would be a couple of stops, we would visit a winery and then return home. The implication would be that we would have a mixed and varied day.

Not true! The first stop was just to allow some passengers to disembark/embark and we were told that we had to stay on the boat. After almost 9 hours on the boat we arrived at the terminus where we had no chance to stretch our legs. We were transferred on to a coach had a brief visit to the vineyard and then were driven the 2+ hours back to Porto.

The boat that was used for the excursion was not the one that the Company had advertised as serving that particular itinerary and was far smaller than the one we expected. And, finally, many of the waiters and barmen were just plain rude. Getting a glass of ice at lunch involved a ridiculous debate about how you can only get ice from the bar, but the bar was closed during lunch (they provided it in the when they realised we were not going to accept that).

In closing, the main meal at lunch Pork and we were offered no alterative. And so one of our party had to go the whole trip - a grinding 13 hours - on just a breakfast pastry and a bowl of soup.

This is an over-sold and poor value trip that is frankly WAY too long and has nowhere near enough variety for it to be anything like worth the money they are charging for this excursion. I really suggest you look elsewhere

Have to rate Viator rather low because…

Have to rate Viator rather low because of price. Participants who booked with local or other agencies paid significantly less for the same experience. Do shop around for this 15-hr trip to Yachilan and Bonampak in Chiapas, Mexico. Heat and humidity oppressive. Very uncomfortable nearly the entire time. Pick the coolest part of the year, unless high temps and humidity do not bother you.

Some good some not so good

The train trip was great.. skyrail great... lunch ok... aboriginal experience great. BUT.
We bought the top trip for 4 people which was over $1000. and were suppose to get lounge chair carriage with beer / wine / soft drinks and got nothing .. Not very happy at all..
When we were to be picked up at the end we had to wait over 1 hour as the driver said he took a few people that didn't go on the sky rail back to there hotels which meant all the other people had to wait for him in the rain and heat and I can tell you they were not happy at all.
