Exceptionally disappointed

Exceptionally disappointed by the manner and approach of victim support uk who I connected with following a number of cyber crimes, emotional abuse & civil law incidents reported spanning over 5 years. The operator had no sympathy, empathy and did not listen to how the crimes & civil incidents reported affected me, but attempted to agree with the abusers and abuse/misuse the health system. UK law and civil forces are systematically part of the problem - their computer systems aren’t encrypted enough - on my experience constables and support workers are trained to dismiss anything that goes cooperation malpractice and I am utterly downheartedly dismayed by the conversation I had today with a victim support UK workers and previously police officers who fail to follow-up on a large number of reports (Action Fraud, county police forces, professional standards departments and IOPC) which left me vulnerable, homeless, domestically abused and having my identity stolen by older woman with marginally similar appearances but are at least 10 years older; nor do the police or victim support signpost or provide advice / support in securing the appropriate legal representation. They misuse the mental heath act by detaining and making Merlin reports to reduce their workload and investigations; health staff, patients and fellow victims of negligence can confirm this Victim Support & police forces are a complete and utter waste of time and public spending. Individuals have stand alone in the UK. This is not what we’re taught in schools. Why people look to Britain as inspiration is beyond me.

No 'support 'at all!!

After having lengthy conversation about my situation, feelings & isolation, desperation , the woman proved she hadn't even taken on board anything I'd explained my health disability by making ridiculous suggestions! No support at all!

Threatened with knife crime, get a text

Threatened with being stabbed when I asked youths who were trespassing in my garden, smoking drugs to leave. I get a text 🙄 scoundrels are free to run amok as they’re under 18 but should I do anything they’ll soon want to charge me.

It’s time people did the job the police are unable to do for us. When justice is unavailable vigilantism is the only viable option.

No help at all I was victim of hate…

No help at all I was victim of hate crime was told I'd get support at court none at all told me they only do that for serious crimes. Apparently being victim of a hate crime being abused and harassed and attempted assault in front of my 4 year old son is not serious crime. I also stated I didn't know what to do as person been parking outside my house and taunting me even though they live 60 miles away and have no family in area was told if they pay road tax and no bail conditions can do what they want.
Do not ask this charity for support you'll get none yet they are taking donations claiming all victims are important not true.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever, beware they’re wolves in sheep’s clothing. They will not disclose your legal rights regarding your data, will take your statement and turn it “using their professional judgement” into things you have never said ! They misinterpreted a LOT of things in my case, they didn’t take accurate details of what happened. when I politely queried it and requested a copy of my data from a “service manager” so I could see what has been written on my behalf, I was met with rudeness, arrogance and a complete dismissal of my concerns. That said manager admitted that her employee had lied to me, that data protection doesn’t exist and they were free to interpret whatever they think is right. I stated that I would like to make an official complain since I’m not allowed to have access to my data or make comments where I believe it to be inaccurate. Her answer was that “she’s a manager, she knows best how to handle case and who would believe a “victim” over her”, she then made a weird statement about me being only interested in money (there’s no money on this case - so very unsure of where that came from) -
Im puzzled by what’s happened and have decided to take matters into my own hands.
Save yourself some stress and STAY AWAY from these people,

Victim support never answer the phone

Victim support make me feel suicidal. They never answer the phone. This leads to increased anxiety and depression. If the can not answer the phone, don'promote your number. Over 30 mins ( 3 times) and different times of the day.

Get the basics right and you have a chance but it is unbelievably poor.

Anybody in doubt call them

As a victim of Harrassment and ASB I…

As a victim of Harrassment and ASB I used their service. I wish I never bothered after speaking 1 hour to a robotic person, I asked for some help with getting an update from the Council who were stone walling me and the person didn't bother to take my details to even pursue that. I would rather speak to a dummy than this organisation again. The charity (like most) exisits to make money out of victims of crime/harrassment etc. I am sure they get a nice salary and run it like a business, we are the products used to make the profit.

Just like the Council, Police, MPs/Cllrs treat victims as perpetrators, and then let the real criminals get away with their action, this charity just confuses victims. The law is there for the rich only and if you can fight this system (created to make money out of victims). If your the victim you are treated as the perpetrator, the whole system works against the real victim. I have CCTV and other evidence, but instead I faced false counter allegations and fake witnesses, everything was ignored and only what the perpetrators allegations were made to be a true account. Instituional racist in the Police and Council help to further destroy justice - 1 law does not exist or be applied to all. These public servants need to be held accountable, but there is no one to do that and never will.

not worth one star i had call from someone, they didnt give name, pushed to have appointment. i had to cancel, then each time try to contact told load of lies. this morning the person couldnt spell my name, which is obviously in their system, or is it ?
they along with the police have made me feel I am the villain not the victim. why are people donating monies to them and us paying council tax to pay for the police ?? neither worth anything.

What an experience

I revived a call on the 16/12/2023 at 14:54 pm a woman was on the other end of the phone I didn’t get a name. Her tone was condescending throughout she was shocked to learn that I didn’t have insurance and thought knowing I was robbed was a good time to remind me “ you need to have insurance “ it was after this I hung up the phone. The call lasted all of 2 minutes and was made to feel like it was all my fault

Unfit for purpose and often call at inconvenient times

I cannot recall a single positive experience with Victim Support.

In one face-to-face meeting (pre-COVID), the Victim Support worker addressed me by the wrong name (the name of a relative who helped a child molester evade justice).

Thereafter, every Victim Support worker has called me from an unknown number at random times. If I don't answer the call, they sometimes leave a voicemail but always close my case.

I don't manage unexpected calls well because of my autism, something which I'm getting tired of disclosing to different organisations and individuals all the time.

In today's call, the caller refused to identify which organisation they were calling from until I confirmed who I was. After that, the caller recounted the details of the police incident I reported, but there were many errors in these details, which caused me to feel more stressed and upset.

As I told the caller, engaging with Victim Support tends to make me feel worse than if I had not.

Disgusting disrespectful

Disgusting disrespectful, they tell lies and refuse to answer questions or help, and refuse to engage. When you try to raise a complaint they actually threaten you. Any attempt to speak to anyone senior is shut down and ranks closed. They offer no support to victims and just cause further mental and physical distress and illness.

A USELESS ORGANISATION!!!

I was referred to this USELESS organisation by another USELESS organisation called Action Fraud. A follow up appointment was scheduled after the initial appointment. The victim support staff did not bother to contact me on the day of the appointment. Very disgraceful service. A complete waste of funds.
