Lifetime subscription is a lie
I purchased a lifetime subscription that doesn't last a lifetime.
Started getting messages "the program is abnormal and will automatically exit"
Finally figured out how to email a human b/c Wondershare's bot help is beyond worthless.
Response: Uniconverter 12: It means you made a one-time payment for lifetime access to the software with free minor updates within the same version.
So the usual software "creative obsolescence" shuck and jive.
I doubt I will pay for 17 knowing that lifetime purchase is a lie

This company is based in Shenzhen, China, it may state contact Canada or elsewhere but its head office is in Shenzhen, China. This is where your hard earned money will go once payment is made.
The seller on my payment receipt showed as
"万兴科技集团股份有限公司"
Translates in English to Wondershare Technology Group Co., Ltd
Should you have any issues with the software Uniconverter as I did within 10 minutes after downloading and installing it, they will refuse to refund you.
I have been in the media business for over 25 years and never came across a company like this.
Check the terms and conditions before downloading this software especially if your from EU/UK/USA. This company do not follow consumer rights outside China, even though they say they do in their Terms and conditions.
I realised the software Uniconverter could not do what I needed it to do as advertised on their website after installing it and requested a full refund.
They will fight you all the way even after you prove to them by sending screen shots and video captures from their own website showing the software doing a process it actually can not do once downloaded and installed.
Their customer service is appalling, they just send you on a merry go round with trash talk hoping you go away, while treating you like a fool totally avoiding my false advertisement claims.
I have warned my business partners throughout the UK plus family and friends to not use Wondershare Filmora Or Uniconverter due to security concerns while expressing the treatment I went through' I told them to seek alterative trusted brands, closer to home who do stand by consumer right and who follow data protection laws.
As a rule Do not use PayPal or Debit Card, use a "CREDIT CARD" and request a "Chargeback" Immediately should you have any issues.

Problems downloading up graded link
I am having a problem trying to get the up graded link to uniconverter to download. I have been trying for 6 days. I contacted their customer so called SUPPORT, I could not speak to an agent. I could only do it through texting. The texting I received was overwhelming with computer technical advice, none of which worked. Plus none I would try because I just don't have the computer technical skills. Now I am going to have to pay someone at the Geek Squad to help me. The leadership in this company really needs to spend time in the field to see where their lack of support exist.

low resolution downloads...
lately, i have been trying to download youtube videos at 1080p, but it keeps forcing 360p downloads. it's frustrating. it does this to certain videos, not all. it's odd. wondershare's support is all a.i. generated, both phone and text. i can't get ahold of any representative to solve this crap. please make downloads to 1080p again, so who ever is going to respond to this, forward this issue to the right people at the company, otherwise i will have to take my business elsewhere. please.

Wondershare UniConverter (V15 - Perpetual License)
WARNING TO POTENTIAL BUYERS: A Wondershare "Perpetual License" is NOT forever. It's a temporary license that expires the moment a third-party API changes, and they will refuse to fix it unless you pay for a new version.
I purchased a Perpetual License for Wondershare UniConverter Version 15.7.3, explicitly for two devices. A perpetual license guarantees I can use the product I bought indefinitely.
On December 5th, 2025, the primary feature of the software stopped working completely due to an alleged "major redesign of an API change.
I contacted customer service asking for a free patch or minor update to restore the functionality of the product I own. My request was entirely consistent with honoring a perpetual license, which should include essential bug fixes.
Wondershare's official and final response was a firm refusal:
They stated "technical support is no longer provided for version 15."
They offered only one "solution": A 50% discount to purchase an upgrade to the latest version (V17).
This is a clear and unacceptable breach of the perpetual license agreement. Wondershare is deliberately withholding a minor fix to force existing, loyal, perpetual license holders to pay for an entirely new product.
The result is that the software I paid for "perpetually" has been rendered useless by the vendor's refusal to provide support. My perpetual license is now worthless.
If you are considering purchasing a perpetual license from Wondershare, be aware that you are buying a product they will cease to support the moment an external technical change occurs, turning your "lifetime" purchase into a paid subscription model.
I have now uninstalled all Wondershare products and will advise everyone to seek a more ethical vendor.

Biggest ripoff - learn who owns it first
Biggest ripoff. I had ordered it, was unable to register it after multiple attempts, lack of customer service support, and then within 20 minutes of requesting a refund I was denied because it didn't fall in their list of reasons, which was hidden in a nondescript folder and not on their main website. I emailed them back on appeal, which doesn't matter because I am getting a refund on my cc. I learned not to trust their products and will investigate their country of origins next time before ordering any software in the future since the refund was an automatic denial.

V17 was automatically today
V17 was automatically today. I spent several hours to try to make it work. It never did. I had V16 perpetual, which I bought over a year ago. It doesn't work either. There was no one to help and no easy way to actually contact a human. I'm so disappointed.

Video enhancer AI of uniconverter 16 did nothing
i have tried to use Video Enhancer AI of Uniconverter 16. The tool didn't work at all. No improvement were made to the video. I uninstalled and reinstalled the uniconverter 16 but it didn't make any improvements to the video source.
