Disappointing Service and Poor Customer Support
I regret to say that my experience with VideoDubber has been deeply disappointing. I chose their platform to translate and dub my videos, expecting high-quality voice cloning and subtitle synchronization as promised on the website. Unfortunately, the service failed to deliver on multiple levels:
Voice Cloning: Despite using a high-quality, noise-free audio clip (2.5 minutes long) as recommended by their support team, the cloned voice was poor quality, hardly understandable, and bore no resemblance to the original speaker. This is far from the "premium quality" promised on their website.
Subtitles: The system-generated subtitles are problematic. They are excessively long, often covering nearly half the screen, which obstructs the video content. Subtitles should ideally be one line to ensure visibility of the video, but their system makes it impossible to use the output as-is. Manually correcting every subtitle or waiting weeks for their support to respond is simply impractical.
Customer Support: Speaking of response times, I had to send multiple emails and wait over a week to get any reply. Even then, their response was generic, and the issues I reported were not resolved. For a paid service, such delays and lack of actionable solutions are unacceptable.
Unreliable Promises: Their website advertises cutting-edge voice cloning and accurate subtitles, but the reality falls far short. I paid $19 expecting a professional service but ended up with results that require significant time and effort to fix—defeating the purpose of outsourcing the work.
I reached out to request a refund but have yet to receive any meaningful resolution. If you're considering this service, be prepared for poor results, long wait times for support, and a service that doesn’t match its promises.
I wouldn’t recommend VideoDubber to anyone looking for reliable dubbing or subtitle solutions. There are better alternatives available that offer higher quality and more responsive support.
