VSDC Free Video Editor is great for creators at all Skill Levels.
VSDC Free Video Editor is pretty incredible! I believe it has been over 3 years using VSDC and it has been awesome with all the new features that have been added over the years. The Tools get better and better. VSDC Free has pretty much everything you will need to edit a video without even adding logo watermarks over your videos but I will say that the added benefits of VSDC Pro are worth every single penny and I strongly suggest checking out VSDC for your next project.
Great software and great price
I'm not an expert in video editing but I think VSDC is really great! It provides a lot of functions and effects, more than I need. Pro version adds further functions, like audio waveform that I really appreciate. Considering the price (free for the basic version and cheap for the pro version) it's for sure a must-have!
Was using Filmora but not now
Was using Filmora. But its expensive and limited.
I got VSDC free version 1st.
The free version can do more than Filmora. As editing can be really difficut at some points, this is why i bought the full version to Support them as i Love the VIDEOS they do regularly. ♡ I love this program ♡
Makes me laugh when people write a bad review for SVDC. As probobly they are trying to run it on a
windows 95 O.S. i run it on my basic Laptop and runs fine.
How can you moan about something thats Free.
Good work SVDC KEEP IT UP.
Best video edit tool
This is best tool that I've used, especially its free version provides very powerful video edit functionalities. Love it.
Excellent Video Editor (User-Friendly)
I have used VSDC Free Video Editor for editing some of my videos and it was really powerful and easy to use. I highly recommend VSDC Video Editor!
Now, I am planning to purchase the Pro version.
Very good software
Very good software, extremely helpful for beginners like me.
VSDC climbing to #1 on FREE editing software lists!
At first I found some of the interface to be confusing, like many softwares when first starting, but then I began to see features other softwares lack, the UI feels clean, the effects are modern and usable for many types of projects. I think VSDC makes great use of modern AI technology and I use Optical Flow on every project now. I will soon be purchasing the Pro version as there are so many coo tools it provides, but I am already quite happy with the free version provided! No watermark, no quality downgrade, plenty of render presets all for free and that impressed me.
Great video editing software
I am a beginner at video editing. After doing a bit of searching on the internet I stumbled across VSDC and downloaded it. I have been using the software for about 6 months now and am more than pleased with its results! Considering it is free you have many editing options available. That, together with their helpful tutorials on YouTube make it a great option for me! Keep up the great work!
Amazing, user-friendly software
The video editor is terrific. Intuitive, powerful, user-friendly interface, and versatile. I have enjoyed using it, and it took my job to another level. I think it's a great editor for those starting off and looking for an economical alternative to other software. Beautiful effects that can be applied with a few clicks, good audio-video filters, powerful tools like video stabilization, motion tracking, and more, video format selection and a great YouTube channel.
Thanks guys keep going!
The most Advanced FREE Editing SW
The most Advance FREE Editing SW you can ever find. Intuitive interface. Good & Easy for beginners. Best in terms of tutorial. They provide all sort of video tutorial to help to make your video editing experience easy and creative and unlike other big provider their tutorial is all free available in their you tube channel. Also you get other must needed tools such as Screen recorder, Video Stabilization etc., Thanks to VSDC for providing such an amazing tool set.
You may be a beginner, or intermediate or a pro, VSDC suffice with all your needs. Try out VSDC free and definitely you will opt for PRO given the advance feature for such a minimal cost.
Would recommend
Great piece of software, I am yet to find a free video software with better features and which is so easy to use. Great for beginners and experts alike.
Avoid at all costs.
First off their web pages are not secure! That really is a worry, especially considering the hacks that happened to this software and their web pages in the past which I only discovered after my experience.
Free or paid versions: You select the chosen platform you wish to make the video for, eg YouTube, Instagram etc by clicking on the relevant tab within the editor.
This is of course done on the assumption that the video will display correctly on the chosen platform after production. After all why would they be in the editor if they did not?
You then edit all the bits you need too, add sound and render, which takes forever by the way, paid or not.
Upload it to YouTube and marvel at your work by watching it, only to find out that there is a black frame all the way around your video, making all of your time and effort wasted. Basically the editor did not format the video correctly for YouTube! Why not? you will need to ask VDSC, but to be honest I would not bother as you will need to go to their dodgy web site to do so.
Apply for a refund within 30 days of purchase only to be told that you need to wait 5 working days for your case to be reviewed.
The outcome, refund request rejected. No surprise there really.
Avoid at all costs people or alternatively just set fire to €20.00 and enjoy the experience. Its no different.

Nice software, but jagged looking video
I really like the layout, timeline and options available. Pretty impressive for free software. But, I can't get any final projects to look good. I do have a brand new Lenovo i-7 too. The videos come out looking jagged. I've spent hours changing resolutions, frame rates, deinterlacing etc. Even exported to different projects like, PC, Web, AVI, MPG, MPG4. No luck. Customer support has been great, as they always responded quickly with several suggestions. Ten years ago, my old Mac iMovie would create flawless DVDs with converted RAW home footage. In this day and age, you would thing video editing would be easier. Anyone else have the same issue?
Don't use VSDC.
I've been using VSDC Free for a year and this editing program in the worst I've ever experienced. Why?
1. Jumpy layers
Layers tend to jump to other layers when you don't want. This really happens ALL the time, which messes up your project constantly.
Selecting multiple layers and moving them is also a big frustration: while moving the clips in the time line, some clips decide to end up at different layers. To find them back is a pain is the a**, because the zooming functions of the timeline is very non-intuitive with lots of different moveable bars. It takes forever to get the right zoom level that you want.
More frustration: when you delete a clip of click on a clip, sometimes clips just jump to another position in the timeline, so this completely messes up your workflow.
To be clear: I'm very careful with clicking and other programs never react like this.
More frustration: when you duplicate clips in the time line the duplicated clips sometimes end up all the way on the top in the first layer and sometimes they end up just below the original clip. Lots of times I was just searching for my duplicates.
2. Markers
Exporting your project is a nightmare! First you have to put markers in the starting and ending point. This whole process made me curse to my screen lots of times. The interface is just horrible: small windows, non-intuitive arrows, it's unclear when you've selected something or not. But most important: WHY markers? Just render from 0 till my last clip. DUH!
3. Layers & visability
During the editing of my projects it happened every time that I ended up with 98 layers or so, because the program adds lots of extra layers when you add a picture or a title. I like to have my clips as close to eachother in the time line as possible instead of having over 50 layers. So after a few hours of working you suddenly notice there are big empty areas in your timeline, because the program adds the layers.
Of course I tried to fix all the problems I was having by looking in the options extensively, but there were no solutions available...
After the last clip I've edited I decided I'm finally done with VSDC. Although I'm thankful I could edit my films for free, I will never work with it again and I just purchased Pinnacle 24 instead. A breath of fresh air!
I am sure that it is the best editor…
I am sure that it is the best editor because it is gives all the advanced features with any cost and it is so much good and excellent
I'm surprised that anyone would make…
I'm surprised that anyone would make such a horrendously buggy, crappy video editor.
Very powerful tool
Great for a free editor
I needed to do some motion graphic ads for my business and decided to give VSDC a shot. For free software it was great. Easy to use and delivered good quality motion graphics. There was many online videos that was available and I was able to quickly learn how to do some creative stuff on EquityRT. I will definitely recommend VSDC.
