On 1st June the booking system for classes at Portsmouth has changed to a panic at 7am to try to book. Even booking at 7am & nil seconds results in being stuck on a waiting list of 10 people - when pl... See more

Amazing defo recommend
Me and my sister have just set up a 3 month membership at the village gym in Leeds, Kelly helped us so much in getting it sorted out and it couldn’t have been done without her
Truly horrendous experience
Truly horrendous experience. Only leaving one star as I can’t give less. Only wish I’d had read the reviews before joining.
Joined as multigym access but only allowed one access card. So when I went to access the other gym, staff just let me through as I had no card but it shows as non attendance for classes. Then you’re blocked for 2 weeks. Told to just turn up but classes were full so wasted journey.
Was blocked more than I wasn’t so said I want to leave as it’s no good for me & wasn’t informed of the fiasco entry/booking procedure.
Was told I’m contracted for a year so there’s nothing I can do. I said I’ll cancel my direct debit then & was told do it then we’ll just get a debt collection agency onto you & take you to court.
So I did, and they are. But I’ll happily take this to court. Customer service is horrendous, sent numerous emails to management requesting phone calls but never had anything back.
This is still ongoing and every month they say I owe them more money. It’s causing me massive stress & anxiety, all I wanted to do was leave due to easily avoidable issues at their end that they just don’t care about.
I’ve never been treated this badly by any company before. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Appalling service by Membership…
Appalling service by Membership services. Village gym Portsmouth agreed on the 19th of June on production of Hospital letters to cancel my subscription without further charges. Membership services are chasing for additional subscription and will shortly be passing to a debt collection agency. Horrendous situation trying to benefit from my misfortune.

Do not join this gym, particularly if you are neuro diverse or suffer anxiety
Very poor customer service at Village gym Bournemouth. Members of staff particularly in the Poole show favouritism to certain members to the detriment of others.
EASTLEIGH Village Gym - 5 STAR
EASTLEIGH Village Gym is a fantastic place to be. Every time you enter and leave the staff acknowledge you. The Classes are excellent and made better by the instructor's energy, drive and their will to get the best from you without being patronising. The gym is clean with every member of staff contributing to their working environment, keeping it clean (even the Manager can be seen with a cloth or a hoover!!)
I do not think I have a better monthly outgoing than this payment.
Great gym at a great price
Great gym at a great price - I spend a lot of time abroad and lets me 'freeze' my annual membership when I'm away unlike most other gyms
Terrible Management and Zero Maintenance
Terrible Management and Zero Maintenance
By far one of the worst gyms I’ve ever been a member of. For the premium price they charge, the standard of maintenance is shocking. Broken equipment, ongoing issues that never seem to get fixed properly, and facilities that are clearly neglected. Every complaint is met with empty promises and no real action.
The biggest problem is the management. They appear completely disconnected from members’ concerns and show little interest in maintaining the standards you would expect from a supposedly premium gym. Problems are ignored, communication is poor, and customer service is non-existent.
It feels like once they have your membership fees, they simply stop caring. I expected far better from Village Gym Bristol, but unfortunately it’s become an overpriced, poorly managed facility that is steadily going downhill. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a well-run gym experience.
I moved address and i wanted to cancel…
I moved address and i wanted to cancel my village gym Walsall membership. They said I have to wait until 31 July to cancel because of the calendar month notice which is fine. However im not using the gym at all so I asked if they can freeze the membership for the last month so I will only pay £5 instead of £53. However they said they couldn't and my gym told me that if I have moved address I dont need to give notice, that i can cancel right away. Useless service by village membership services

Village Gym Maidstone Kent
I have used the gym off and on since 2017. Positives, best spin class around with the best instructor Karen. Friendly staff, nice sized pool.
Negatives which unfortunately outweigh the positives….the gym changing rooms and pool are filfhy. This is basics. I come out thinking I have probably caught something. It’s very expensive for what it was and I would not recommend due to the cost and the extreme lack of cleanliness for a gym that has no windows and air con only. There is huge clumps of dust everywhere, blocked air conditioning and the changing rooms are disgusting especially the toilets and showers

Been a member at Bristol over 5 years it’s a great gym always friendly staff on reception and spotlessly clean
Village Gym Basingstoke
Village Gym, Basingstoke! What a joke the new booking system is. 7am booking for classes next week and straight on the waiting list. I work for the NHS and I am not able to be checking my phone all the time for a possible email notification to tell me a space has become available. What a joke the new booking system is!!!!
If I could put a lower rating I would
If I could put a lower rating I would, I have sent 4 emails now with no response, impossible to find a proper customer service email, they are quick enough to call you up to get you signed up, but they have taken £223 of my money as there sign up process is terrible and tells you the payment has a issue so when you try again they have been taking the money anyway.
I haven’t even had any acknowledgment to my emails, I will be raising this with the financial Obudsman if this isn’t resolved.
Village Gym Cheadle is a great…
Village Gym Cheadle is a great all-round gym with modern equipment, a spacious training area, and a wide range of classes suitable for all fitness levels. The facilities are clean and well maintained, and the pool, sauna, and spa add real value beyond a typical gym.
Staff are friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to stay motivated. Overall, it’s a solid gym with everything you need in one place.

Buyer beware .. contracts are misleading
Bought a 3 month membership and paid all 3 month payments to see if I liked their gym. I didn’t l, so cancelled my direct debit instruction. The village then contacted me to say I had to give a 3 month notice period which meant for a 3 month contract unless I cancelled the day I joined it wasn’t a 3 month contract at all. I feel this is so misleading as if you purchased a 3 month contract, that is what you think you are getting. Buyer beware as contract is misleading
Good gym, Extortionate prices (Solihull)
Facilities are amazing and the place is well-kept by its staff. Never had an issue with any of the equipment or facilities apart from few of the Men’s lockers being busted up. Only thing I find a bad on the whole is the prices they charge you. I mean luckily I only pay £50 a month for now but when I come to renew I’m cancelling based on the extortionate £90 a month they wanna try charging me 😂
I get that’s the company as whole as it’s their policy so I won’t speak bad on the gym itself, but yeah the prices are a bit raving considering it gets rammed in there even during off-peak hours..
A good gym I found after testing many in the Bracknell area
I have been a member of many different gym clubs since I started out on my gym keep fit
Programme in 1966 ( that's 60 years wow )
I researched the gyms in the Bracknell area
For value for money & gym equipment & a very
Important area the Showers
Most clubs have poor showers low water pressure,, with warm water temperature
But after testing the Village hotel gym at Bracknell & Really road testing the showers
Which I found were good water pressure & most important for gym members
Really hot water & a Bonus really cold water if you want a Healthy cold shower after a life invigorating hot shower, Both are very good for
The Body & Mind,
Why not Road test the Village hotel gym yourself
I also have found the Bracknell hotel gym is the most friendly gym I have ever joined
The members talk to each other, which is Rare
In most gyms
For the people who want to join a gym
But are not sure how a new member would be Treated. Let me Reassure anyone coming to the gym , you will find a very welcome group of Members
As I have said just try a session, you will be glad you did
All the best John Morris Ascot Berkshire
New phoneline is stressful
New phoneline is stressful, completely useless and makes me want to stop going to the gym. What a nightmare.
