I’m doing the review to get the full vehicle report in printed view. Not knowing any info other than the VIN, but doing a regular Google search was telling me not found. This site was one of the resul... See more

Never signed up for a subscription…
Never signed up for a subscription bought a 1 time report now they try to bill.
Their website is misleading and they Charge for services not provided
Their website is misleading. For $1 I received a minimal report, at best. They then billed me an monthly fee of $29.95. I am sure they have some difficult to see button saying I am agreeing to this, but it is not clear. Then when I request cancellation and send multiple e-mails to them they will not respond. They have a point person's name of Adam, who is non existent. This company has fraudulent written all over it.
Tired of dealers hiding a car’s past
Tired of dealers hiding a car’s past, I found your service straightforward and transparent. Now I feel informed and ready to buy with confidence.
Trojan Horse
The initial service of looking up 1 VIN for $1 looks straightforward and feels fair. However, a recurring monthly charge of $29.95 will be set up on the card you use. The customer support line (1-888-564-8057) doesn't give you the option to speak with any humans. I'm disappointed that this wasn't what it seemed to be.
Stay away
Stay away! I signed up and did the $1 report in September. I was then randomly charged $120 in January and then 12 days later charged $30. Find a different site to use.
These people are thieves and the whole…
These people are thieves and the whole thing is a scam. They sell you the VIN info for $1 and fraudulently enroll you in some kind of subscription. Later the make big unauthorized charges to your account. I saw these charges and reported it to PayPal and my bank and I am fighting to get my money back. I even emailed them for a refund and no one replied to me but as soon as PayPal contacted them about the charges they sent the some fake tracking information that they delivered something to me. Be very careful when you are dealing with them. I am filing a report with the BBB as well.
Update: I am adding this update because I like to be fair and give people all the information to make their own decisions. After the back and forth with PayPal, my bank and the report to BBB I received a message from Vinseek apologizing for everything that happened and they went ahead to issue a full refund to me. Thank you Vinseek. I would still advice anyone to read the fine print always before any transactions.
THEY WILL STEAL YOUR CARD INFORMATIONS AND USE IT
I was trying to find some information about my VIN number. I have found them, and I entered my debit card number. They charged me one dollar and a few cents.
And a few days later, I saw a "fraud alert" message popping up on my sms. Guess who tried to buy for 29,95$ using my debit card: VINSEEKERS.
I called my bank and told them to disable my debit card. 2 hours later, they tried for 9$ but my bank declined it.
IF YOU EVER WANT TO FIND VIN INFO ABOUT YOUR CAR, STAY VERY VERY FAR AWAY FROM VINSEEKER, THEY WILL YOUR MONEY !!!
TrustPilot should verify these reviews to determine whether they are fake or not. Cause I sincerely don't believe that these reviews come from real people who have ever tried this website.
If there was a lower grade than one star I would give it to them. And they would even deserve less than that.
Deceptive “Free VIN Check” Scam and Unauthorized Charges
Vinseeker is a deceptive and unethical company. I used what was advertised as a “free VIN check” with a one dollar charge that was clearly stated to be only for verifying I was not a spammer. There was no subscription signup, no clear consent, and no indication that recurring charges would be enabled.
Days later, my credit card was charged $29.95 without authorization.
This is a classic bait and switch. The language on their site strongly implies you are getting a free service, yet they quietly turn that into a paid subscription without clear disclosure. That is not an accident. It is a business model designed to trick people into charges they did not agree to.
I never signed up for a subscription. I never approved automatic payments. Charging someone under those circumstances is unethical and predatory.
Avoid Vinseeker entirely. If you value transparency, consent, and basic honesty, do not give this company your credit card information.
Don't let the $1 fee fool you—it's a bait-and-switch.
I used Vinseeker for a one-time car data report. What they don’t make clear is that the $1 "deal" automatically enrolls you in a $29.95 monthly subscription. Even worse, after I explicitly contacted them to cancel and was told the account was terminated, the charges didn't stop.
The breaking point:
- They ignored my cancellation and charged me again in January.
- Two massive, unexplained charges of $118 each appeared on my statement out of nowhere.
- Customer support is a ghost town. It is impossible to speak to a human being.
I finally managed to get an automated cancellation email through their phone system, but I am still fighting to recover the unauthorized funds they took from my account. This isn't just a "poor service"—it’s a predatory billing practice.
Save your money and your sanity: Use a reputable service instead.
Car history report is fake
I paid for a car history report on a 2025 Toyota Rav4 with just under 9000 miles as i was interested in buying it. I submitted the vin number and the report I received report said this 2025 Rav4 was first purchased in Texas in 2012 had 7 accidents 2 of which were major, it had 7 previous owners and 140k miles.
I emailed them to send me the real report but they are not responding.
This is some wild and crazy ai story and that’s what they are selling is a fake story.
READ BEFORE GIVING THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO!!!
I wanted to get a report for my car. They don't have 1 time purchase so i had to sunscribe and paid $30. Then then I cancelled the subscription immediately after. They charged me again $30. I logged in and cancelled again. This time I took a screen shot and emailed and ask for a refund. Called to confirm, it said its already cancelled 7 minutes ago. There is no way to delete my credit card info or delete my info from their system.
I was fraudulently charged $118.80 by them
I was fraudulently charged $118.80 by VinSeeker LLC for a service I have never used, never requested, and had never even heard of. I called three times, and each time I was told someone would “get back to me.” No one ever did. I also sent four emails and still received no response at all.
When I finally reached someone, they told me they couldn’t even find me in their system. If that’s the case, then why can’t you refund the charge? It’s obvious this was a fraudulent transaction.
I have since contacted my credit card company, and they are investigating the charge and have already issued me a new card because of this mess.
This company—whatever it even is—feels like a complete scam. No communication, no accountability, and no resolution. Absolutely unacceptable.
You set a trap with the $1.00 deal and…
You set a trap with the $1.00 deal and then every month you charge $29.95 without my consent or authorization. You did this 3 times. This is deception of the highest order. I have already reported you to BBB and will report you to whatever regulatory agency that can oversee your activites
They continue to charge my card
They continue to charge my card even though I have canceled twice, and they do not ever respond to emails.
Total scam, expect unauthorized charges!
Used Apple Pay for the $1 report and was surprised when they charged me an unauthorized $30 for a "monthly subscription" one week later. Cannot believe they have 4 star on Trustpilot. Total scam!
Subscription scam, no customer service.
Authorized $1 for VIN, declined further services. Automatically enrolled in recurring subscription which was not clearly disclosed. Continued charging after cancellation. No customer service response.
SCAM
SCAM! I bought a review for $1. All good. Until a week later they tried to charge me $29.95 more.
Using Google pay it was rejected, but they resubmitted it for $9.95 and it went through for some reason. I disputed the transaction immediately. Full refund by Visa.
You pay the $1.00 then unknown to me
You pay the $1.00 then unknown to me, I see a $29 charge the following month. Nowhere did it say this was a trial. Sent email to cancel it
Scam
The website said $1.00 per VIN but when I was checking out I noticed something about a trial and then a monthly subscription. I emailed them to cancel so we'll see if they do.
Also the report was a joke. It said the car I was looking up had 0 owners (it's a 2007 and I know the seller bought it a year ago and the carfax had information). Everything in the report listed was just generic information about the make and model.
Vinseeker’s $1 trial is misleading
Vinseeker’s $1 trial is misleading. I tried four times to cancel before the trial ended, but each call was automatically disconnected after the system attempted to identify my number. Once I was charged, the same number allowed me to cancel without any issue.
This feels intentional and unfair. The $1 trial is tempting, but canceling before being charged is very difficult. I do not recommend this service.
