Reset my password on the game to only be told I can;t log in with my new password and have to wait 24hrs to try again...made a support ticket hours ago and still not be answered...the games overhyped don't believe the hype! worth £5 not £20

After playing the game I can say I enjoy it all though it is a challenging experience it’s in a good way. It really challenges you with a hardcore survival experience that gives many hours of gameplay. I was most impressed with the price of $20 is great considering how much gameplay it offers. I see lots of potential I hope the developers continue to update the game frequently.

IMO Best survival game out there. Hands down. If you enjoy in-depth systems based in reality, this game may be for you. If you also like a little horror in your cozy, this could be for you.

It has a very satisfying game loop for gamers who are all about the journey and not necessarily the destination. It's a slow burn, but super rewarding.

Sandbox survival with a hard emphasis on survival. I enjoy how the game evolves from early game, when you play very differently versus mid game, versus end game. Early game focuses on daily treks into the wilderness to get supplies, food and to find useful resources. Whereas the mid game tends to focus on expanding your skill lines and upgrading tools.

And, for me, the fact that this is released by a small independent studio is a big deal. In this day and age of cookie cutter AAA games being cranked out as quickly as possible with the number one motive being profit, it is so refreshing to play a game where you can feel the love in every little pixel.

I am shocked that it only had a 3.3 review on this. This game is worth way more than that. I've been playing it for over a year now and have purchased multiple copies for friends.

Best damn $20 game I've ever played. Hell, it outshines most $40 games I've played

A fantastic video-game being tainted with distrust by diverting additional resources such as new hires and funding to another project no-one asked for, instead of keeping it for what people are paying to fund and support. The staff acknowledge the concerns, but choose to continue to disrespect the community by utilizing the funds that these people supplied toward Vintage Story, for an unknown project unrelated to what the money was given toward in the first place. This is written on behalf of several server members and ourselves.

Fantastic game and definitely worth it for the price. Played it with a group of friends and we were all hooked for weeks. Really immersive and challenging which is what we were looking for. The mods available and ease of installing them while hosting a dedicated server was also a huge bonus

Vintage story is in total a really good game, that offers a more challenging experience than Minecraft. It really is like minecraft but a lot harder, but in a good way for the most part.

The two places this game really sucs at is Combat and the respawn mecanic.

The combat honestly feels like a aftertought. It's stiff, booring and really, REALLY tilted in the favour of the enemies. Wolfes can kill you in two attacks. some enemies can one hit you even if you are wearing full suits of full iron plate armour. (Default settings).

And the respawn mecanic is horrible. You die, you spawn back at were the "server" spawn location is. You can temporarly move it with Temporal gears but those are rare and only lasts for about 10 deaths. The mecanic Minecraft have is significantly better. Because as it is right now with the respawn mecanic it feels like exploring is EXTREMELY unencuraged. Because you can spend houers walking in one direction looking for a nice place to set up your base at or find new resourses, just to be killed and be forced to walk aaaaalllllll the way back. It gets really old really fast.

The soft respawn with beds like MC have is a significantly better and less frustrating mecanic, that these devs apparently are alergic to.

I do reccomend this game, but ONLY if you host your own server or game, and have full access to the settings, because the default settings is out right sh*t, and needs quite a lot of tweeking.

If you buy this game, don't expect it to play anything like minecraft - It's a voxel based game but that's where the similarity ends.

Watch some guides on youtube before your first playthrough, it will help you get the most from the game.

It's seriously difficult, incredibly immersive - even getting your first copper pickaxe will normally tak hours.

I have about 200 hours invested and although it is unintuitive at first, this is a deeply rewarding game.

Do not buy it if you're looking for instant gratification.

want to spend the rest of your time on earth looking for ore? look no farther. got this game and originally thought it was fun, however i quickly found out that this games sucks. games that have you "prospect" for ore and waste ours looking for some stupid deposit are the worst. oh and the tool you have to use to prostpect? yeah its made out of copper so enjoying panning in a river for hours on end just to prospect for hours on end. should be called joyless walking sim

I recently got the game and I planned to play it on my steamdeck but I've found its just a way better experience through and through on pc and its honestly a great survival game. Its similar but very different from minecraft and the style of it is darker and its a bit harder but it doesnt take away from how fun it is. Its a cute game, I loved it and I think its fun/worth the try. Watch vids if you're iffy but honestly playing it myself has been so much better than the gameplay I saw before buying.

A combo of realistic survival and Minecraft. There's so much gameplay and so many items. Definitely recommend.
