Great app
The way the app is set up is great, easy to use. I believe it would help if when a person makes an alternative offer and you accept you should consider putting a time limit on it similar to when you reserve an item for a potential buyer.
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Vinted regarding a counterfeit item.
I purchased a product advertised as authentic (LEGO), but what I received was clearly **fake**: missing branding, no identification codes, and visibly different from the original.
I immediately reported the issue and provided evidence. The transaction was suspended and an investigation was opened. However, despite this, I was later instructed to **return the counterfeit item at my own expense** in order to receive a refund.
This is where the problem becomes serious.
Vinted’s own policy states that **counterfeit items should not be returned and should not be put back into circulation**. Yet, their support team gave me **contradictory instructions**, asking me to ship the item anyway.
So, on one hand they acknowledge the issue, and on the other hand they ask the buyer to handle and resend a fake product. This is inconsistent and unacceptable.
Customer support has been slow, repetitive, and unable to provide a clear and coherent solution. I had to repeat the same explanations multiple times without any real progress.
As a buyer, I expected protection and clarity in a situation involving counterfeit goods. Instead, I faced confusion, delays, and requests that do not align with their own rules.
Unless this situation is properly resolved, I will not use this platform again.
I strongly advise other users to be cautious when purchasing branded items and to be aware that resolving such issues may not be straightforward.

Servicio de atención al cliente nefasto.
La vendedora (raquel87sa) me envió un top falso de Nike, que ya de entrada llegó con el logotipo agrietado. Me quejé, y ni la vendedora ni Vinted me dieron solución, más allá de devolverlo haciéndome cargo yo del coste del envío (ya con el envío de vuelta, me habría gastado más en envíos que en el propio producto). Me negué porque no me parecía justo costear yo eso cuando el problema era el defecto del producto. Me lo acabé quedando, y en el primer lavado se levantó todo el logotipo.
Lo peor es que puse en conocimiento de todo esto (con fotos) a Vinted, y tardaron más de una semana en responderme, solo lo hacían con mensajes automáticos, y cuando lo hicieron fue para posicionarse a favor de la vendedora. Me dijeron que el producto no estaba como lo había recibido (¡Pues claro! ¡Se había roto al lavarlo, esa es precisamente la queja!!) y que podía volver a revenderlo yo. Esa es su solución.
En resumen, que permiten la estafa con tal de continuar ellos con su negocio. Si la persona a la que denuncias es cliente habitual, no van a hacer absolutamente nada por ti, van a mirar para otro lado. De hecho, te cobran una tasa de protección al comprador que no sirve de ABSOLUTAMENTE NADA. Recomiendo otras plataformas más contundentes con la delincuencia que estos.

Appalling customer service.
The seller (raquel87sa) sent me a fake Nike top, which arrived with the logo already cracked. I complained, but neither the seller nor Vinted offered a solution, other than returning it at my own expense (with the return postage, I would have spent more on postage than on the product itself). I refused because I didn’t think it was fair for me to pay for that when the problem was a fault with the product. I ended up keeping it, and the whole logo came off after the first wash.
The worst part is that I reported all this (with photos) to Vinted, and it took them over a week to reply; they only responded with automated messages, and when they did, it was to side with the seller. They told me the product wasn’t in the condition I’d received it in (Well, of course! It had come off in the wash – that’s precisely the complaint!!) and that I could resell it myself. That’s their solution.
In short, they allow scams to happen just so they can keep their business running. If the person you report is a regular customer, they won’t do a single thing for you; they’ll just look the other way. In fact, they charge you a buyer protection fee that is of ABSOLUTELY NO USE. I recommend other platforms that take a much tougher stance on fraud than this one.

Unable to register as professional seller – no support or solution
I am currently trying to register as a professional seller on Vinted, but the process is completely blocked due to an issue with my tax identification number (NIF), which is correct and has been entered multiple times.
The platform keeps rejecting it without any clear explanation or guidance on how to fix the problem.
I have already contacted customer support, but the only response I receive is that I need to “wait,” without any timeframe or real assistance. This is very frustrating, especially for someone trying to start selling professionally.
I would appreciate a clear and concrete solution as soon as possible. If there is a specific issue with my account or documentation, please explain it properly so I can resolve it. I am ready to provide any documents needed immediately.
At the moment, the lack of support and transparency is disappointing. I hope Vinted can address this issue quickly.

I got blocked because I listed a Zara jacket, and they said it was fake (honestly, it’s the first time I hear that Zara items are even faked). I contacted them and sent all the proof — the invoice and even an email from Zara when I ordered the package and when it arrived.
I waited for a long time, and in the end, they replied with an automatic message saying the item is fake. Honestly, that’s ridiculous — I’m sure they didn’t even look at the evidence.
Let me add something else: after blocking me, many buyers ask for refunds so they can keep the item for free. Since Vinted supports this kind of behavior, they cancel the order and refund them.
So basically, they take your items and your money.
Be careful with this scam platform.
