VISA credit card support in Canada is TERRIBLE! I've been on hold for almost an hour. They don't notify you of an approximate wait time length. Hire some staff! With the interest you charge your service should be much better. Yesterday, at the 1 hour wait mark (this is with RBC VISA) they just hung up on me. If that happens again today I'm switching all my credit card transaction to Master Card!

If it was a zero ,I would give it.just been to Ireland for the week.card returned in all cash ATMs it was inserted into.Telling me type of card not accepted or this transaction cannot be carried out at this time.so no cash.was on holiday there with a group for the week.Had to get friends to withdraw cash,then for me to settle with my card in restaurants and bars alternately so we could balance the payments between us.somewhat embarrassing.Plenty of cash in my account.Also this was a Barclays platinum visa debit card.I contacted Barclays ,using app.Numerous messages back and forth blaming a faulty card .I was finally informed they couldn't contact visa so I would have to.! Shocking.Now moving on,when I got back to England I used my card in a cashpoint ATM,and it worked straight away.so no card issue itself.Also as a reminder it worked contactless with chip and pin in bars and restaurants in Ireland.So when I phoned visa and entered my card number, I though various options available .I was directed to Barclays UK.My advice is what I am about to do.open an account with NatWest who use MasterCard.It appears some of these companies are too big for their customers,as I can see in this review,as they have never replied to a single thread.As Alan wicker used to say ,don't go anywhere without a Barclaycard.Not anymore.

Got seats auctioned by Delta Airlines, received an amount of money to trade for gift cards, made the biggest mistake of my life to apply for Visa prepaid cards, and ever since I’ve been experiencing issues with 90% of my transactions. From 10 websites that I try to purchase, maybe 1 or 2 go through, the rest keeps getting declined. Sometimes the same website that accepted one purchase, declines the same exact card on a second purchase.
Finally very upset and not putting up with that anymore, since I applied for Mastercard prepaid cards as well and they’re all working just fine, I called for customer service. I stayed on the phone for 2h, being transferred one hundred times, explaining my story one hundred times, and nothing was sorted out. I hung up feeling stupid, ‘cause besides my declined transactions not appearing on the cards history and being insinuated as a liar, the outcome was always “wait 24h and try again”.
If you’re having trouble to decide which card to apply, let me save you some headache, just go for Mastercard.

Visa offers ZERO protection for identity theft. I would highly NOT recommend getting a Visa card. They could care less about their customers and are only trying to make money. They could care less if someone signs up for a VISA in someone else's name. They will give out ZERO information or guidance to help. All their phone support is in another country. You cannot get someone from the US to help. VISA DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS.

Loophole for fraud
This is complaint about visa account updater program. It allows a merchant to update card information when a customer gets new card number for the same bank account. This is a major fraud loophole and visa allows it. My credit card got defrauded and there were fraudulent transactions from uber, ebay etc. I reported fraud and credit card was terminated and new card was mailed. Due to visa account updater policy visa allowed the fraudster to continue using my new credit card information on their uber account because defrauded card information was updated automatically to new card credentials through visa account updater feature for merchants like uber, amazon etc. This is major security and fraud loophole and it needs to stop!

The amount of paperwork VISA Card Services (a misnomer if ever there was one) was daunting but I did all that was asked; I even submitted some paperwork twice. Phone wait times are absurd and CSR's are not helpful as they have no access to check whether the paperwork has been received. Six weeks into the process, I'm still unsure of whether the file is complete. In a world of poor customer support, VISA Card Services is in a league of its own: The Worst of the Worst.
Worst service EVER
I started a claim months ago, got approved but never received any payment. I am still waiting for the payment and it is impossible to contact anyone. I think they will never issue the insurance payment. They constantly redirect you to another person every time I call, but noone apparently is responsible so you keep being redirected until the call gets cut off. By email they do not respond. I am completely dissapointed.
48 hour 'promise' of 'emergency card…
48 hour promise of 'emergency card replacment'... Now 5 days later and the card has not yet even been prepared.
Just got a call that the earliest delivery is 'maybe' Monday. That 9 daus after i made the 'Emergency' card replacement.
Over a week in a foreign country with limited acces to funds. 300 dollars in costs of follow up calls and many nights of extra hotel stays along with cancelled flight tickets due to Visas utter incompetence.
Goodbye Visa, I can only hear a call center stay tell me 'sorry for yur negative service experience' so many times before its a simple case of F#$K OFF!!!
