Lunchtime saga
I was told to report at least 15 minutes before the appointment time, ie 13.30. To be safe and having to do quite a long journey through the city, I arrived in good time at 13.00. My wife dropped me off and drove away. The container truck, parked in Morrisons Car Park, was all locked up, no response from knocking. I was prepared to wait till 13.15 as that was the strict time I was told to report. It was hot, nowhere to sit and no indication that anyone was around. Not very helpful when the scan was to be for a bad back. I even rang Vista head office, but they were closed. At 13.30 the door opened and took from that my time had come. On entering I explained I had been waiting for over 15 minutes and it was now 15 minutes past my appointment. The two gentlemen made no apology, only stating that they were entitled to their lunch break. Strangely, I was not best impressed and probably made my feelings obvious, for which I apologise.
The scan was completed efficiently and the results came quicker than expected.
Maybe, if your staff take their lunch break from 13.00 to 13.30, don’t make appointments for 13.15. And provide some seating outside!
