Disappointed by Poor Support and Refund Guarantee
I bought Voicemod Pro for $24 on 21/12/2024, but my experience has been very disappointing. Their refund guarantee policy states that you can request a refund within 30 days, yet despite submitting my refund request on the same day I purchased it, I haven’t received any response or resolution to date.
The lack of communication from their support team is frustrating and unprofessional. I’ve followed up multiple times, but the process has been slow and unhelpful. If they promise a refund guarantee, they should honor it and provide timely support.
The software might be good, but the customer service is horrible. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values reliable support or fair service.

Actual garbage
You have to pay for things that should be free, you it rarely works when anythign else is open, it runs worse than cyberpunk 2077 did at launch. Look for any alernative, i guarantee it'll be better than this. It even refuses to stop launching on startup. I ended up deleting all files from my pc. Never installing this maleware again. All it does is tank my pc every time it's open when any other program is open. Even if it's just openrgb that's in the backround. It shouldn't be tanking my xfx rx 6750 xt this bad lmao.
You're better off using MorhVOX, VoiceMeeter, Clownfish. Hell, even ElevenLabs, or voice.ai would be better than this money hungry cash grab garbage lolll
all in all, 0/10, never using again. Look elsewhere, don't support the greedy company that voicemod is. Almost everything is paywalled.

Absolutely horrid
Absolutely horrid. Every time I get it it screws up my audio to make it hollow and strange. After I uninstalled it, it screwed up audio and mic for my discord, and almost all the games and stuff i used.

Don't waste your money and time
I bought this shit in 2022 when I was stupid. They advertise it as free but you have to pay for the most basic features, or free for the crap.
It's still on my pc to this day, I keep updating it and telling myself that someday it will be better and I'll use it.
Today when I needed to use it, my PRO subscription was gone, even though the title of the account still says lifetime subscription. My discord got banned from the voicemod server (I don't know why, I left it a long time ago). I used another discord account to ask them about my problem, instead of a ticket channel, you know what they did? They banned my discord account immediately and forced me to wait for their reply via email, they reply once a day with the same nonsense, it's been 2 days, my subscription still hasn't come back, discord is still banned. Voicemod sucks from the software to the way they treat paying customers.

Minimal effort from CSRs
Minimal effort and slow responses from CSRs, I’ve been locked out of my lifetime account for over a week after having to reset my PC. I tell them I’ve already tried to use the methods and “solutions” they give me and they will still send me the same info over and over. Honestly regretting this purchase and considering I can’t even use the service I’m paying for I might fight to try and get my money back and file a complaint.

I purchased this for the features
I purchased this for the features, that they now removed.
Like, I don't care about some mid-tier AI voice changer that sounds like you're having a stroke at the end of a sentence (the voices you can choose without AI doesn't do this) and I actually quite enjoyed the soundboard and TTS features, which is essentially what I got it for.
With that said, here are some things I came to dislike that eventually made me stop using this app.
1) It can be incredibly tedious to set up, especially since some games, or even discord, doesn't know how to handle it. With the amount of times we've sat five people in a call just to sit and ask each other "Does it work now?" "How does it sound?" etc, I'd say it's a hit or miss.
2) They removed TTS, which was one of the main features of the app. When contacting support about it, they gave me a hidden away link to a forum post where people could voice their concerns about that and said they would use the feedback from there to decide whether or not to keep it. All negative feedbacks about the removal must mean "they don't want this" right?
3) When the TTS was there, they had this god awful censorship filter that would filter out even regular words, having one to come up with some funny typing to get around it or sound splicing.
4) The soundboard suffers the same problems listed in point 3. The TTS was quite useful for the soundboard as well, come to think of it.
Just remove the soundboard at this point, lads.
5) The AI voices you can choose aren't that good. "But you need to voice act and change your voice for the voice changer to work" like that doesn't defeat the entire purpose. Tested and tried with friends on each our own system and mic setup, same results across the board. The non-AI voices work like they should though, even if most of them sound robotic as hell.
6) Why do we need a store? We already bought the app (some on subscription, I'm just happy I got a deal for lifetime). As soon as one person buys one of your packs, guess what? They can share them free of charge to their friends.
7) The app is pretty much early access. You can find free ones out there that are open source which boasts more capabilities than Voicemod, even allowing for custom plugins and voice sampling. These can be much more tedious than Voicemod to set up, but if you got the time I really recommend doing that instead of this. When I initially bought this, I expected it to be as professional as they advertised.
There are more reasons, but these were just the main ones. The explanations for some of them (this is what I've read on the Discord + Reddit page) is that either they don't know how to do it properly or that it's not in their vision for the app. Like you're implementing a basic, yet fully functioning version of something, only to remove it and come with two separate reasons.
You pretty much ruined the app with non-functional updates. It's as if you let the intern have a field day.

Flip this
I absolutely hate your new versions you have to pay for about everything and half of it sucks (Unless you have a proper mic) Who the flip said it was a good idea to take away every single sound effect I could stand the old version but this just sucks I have a bunch of voices I don't like and I have to wait for it to switch to something after about 3 days and also the voices you let me keep just are terrible at least let us have a choice in what 3 voices we want you also only let us keep a few community sounds? Only if we buy your stupidly overpriced Pro version then we are allowed to actually do things I would rather use v2 because most people in this community don't care about how much better it is for resources I don't flippin' care just give us something good like come on most of us have PCS that can handle a stupid voice changer app I hope you change this otherwise I have no hope of this company

Fantastic!
I bought this for Space Marine 2 I've had it for a few months now and I love it. I've had no issues. I don't really care for about half of the voices but the other half are great!

the site says there is a 30 days refund policy, when you mention it they dont answer you or stop conact. Without any explanation, the software is not working properly on my device, discord en davinci resolve stop working when i use it.. therefor i tried to rewuest a refund the next day and they change the topic or dont react on it at all. DONT BUY THIS, low quality..

Lower your expectations lol
Bought the software on discount over a year ago, it's only been awful. There's always a new update that screws everything up. Recently it wiped my entire account clean of all sounds, voices and settings I had. V3 is terrible. Do not switch from V2 to V3, the layout is horrendous. If you haven't paid money for this, good. Stop using it now

I have only used it successfully about…
Update - I am so, so flustrated. Voicemod decided to load today and the microphone was working but all of my pro features were gone. I clicked on account which took me to a website where I logged in and I could see I had a full subscription for another year. I go back to voicemod and nothing has changed so I restart the program and get the error that I get the most
''We found some issues while connecting to the Voicemod server.'' It's been 2 hours now and this is all I get, I have perfect internet so that is not the issue. I have now finished my music editing. I started a new track and wanted to use voicemod but as usual it let me down so I had to record vocals using my VST's in my Daw for effects. I regret ever paying for Voicemod, Fix your software!
Oh and to add insult to injury when I click 'contact support' on the failed startup screen, nothing happens!
/I have only used it successfully about 2 or 3 times and I am 9 months into my paid annual subscription.
I make music for video games and this was supposed to be a launch point to just give me some ideas before I go ahead with my own sound design.
Most days I get the error message
''We found some issues while connecting to the voicemod server'', occasionally it will load successfully but not that often.
I has just loaded and the microphone isn't working even though I havn't changed anything.
The software itself is more of a fun thing then a professional tool which is about right for the pricepoint. It is very useful though to get ideas and if you are using it for content creation then I imagine it could be very useful.
Very dissapointed that I am unable to use this after paying for it, please make a VST or program that works offline and let people connect to the server at their choice for updates etc..
Massive Fail!

Good for streamers, disappointing voice quality
VoiceMod can be useful if you're a streamer or need a soundboard, but when it comes to voice modulation, they really need to improve. The free demo with two voices is honestly very poor. It discouraged me from paying for premium because nothing on their site or YouTube demos guaranteed better voice quality if I subscribed. I tested the software with three different microphones, yet it struggled to capture my voice properly. The output was distorted and sounded robotic. Overall, the poor quality of the demo didn’t inspire confidence, and I’m not satisfied with the results.

Voicemod is a good app, but has some issues.
While Voicemod could be interesting for other people, my opinion is really full of flaws about it. It hasn't been used very often by me, and this is because it needs a lot of configurations, especially in the voice changer. I have bought Voicemod lifetime version for around 12 pounds, because the free one was not worth spending my time on. 12 pounds tho... I thought it would be better. I wouldn't say it's extra expensive (as for 2024), but they should at least put some effort in it. Firstly, I want to talk about the voice changer. For about half of these modes were useless. For example, the one covering people, after saying words loud and clearly, the voice is mumbling something, really unclearly. I don't know why it was programmed like that, but because it's "AI generated", it should be significantly better. Secondly, when I was using the soundboard, I wanted to assign the sound to my numpad, but for some reason instead of numbers, it assigned it to left, right, down, end... etc. It shouldn't be a huge problem for others, but when using other buttons, the sound is playing without my knowledge. Thirdly and lastly, it's a big difficulty to load in the program and use it, at it is really laggy. I have a high end pc, but still I didn't figure out the problem. Reinstalling the program did not work. I think that users shouldn't be really focused on my issues. The app is interesting and worth the money. I see a lot of progression this app could get after being updated more often. Short words, it's OK.

Voicemod Is Going Downhill
As one of the Beta testers, I purchased a lifetime membership to Voicemod for $10 many years ago—a great deal at the time. However, the software has gone downhill since.
While they've added new features, I find them mostly unnecessary. The software has become laggy, buggy, and takes too long to load. It now requires an internet connection at every startup, which often fails to verify my account, forcing me to re-verify despite having a high-end computer and fast internet.
I've also faced issues with Voicemod detecting my HyperX microphone, sometimes forcing me to replug it, even though other software detects it without problems. Additionally, Voicemod causes crackling noises when other software or games try to use it as the microphone—a conflict that only happens when using Voicemod.
One major business practice issue is that Voicemod doesn't show the price on their website; you have to download the "free" version to find out that most features are locked behind a paywall, and only then can you see the price.
In summary, while Voicemod offers some cool voices and features, their business practices, lack of transparency about pricing, and constant online connection requirement are unacceptable. Fix the bugs, make the internet connection occasional, and be upfront about pricing on your website.

This is pay-to-use
When you expect the software to be free as they say, you expect to be able to use it. Now, let's see what you can use... 3 custom sounds. That's it, now pay up. This software is NOT free-to-use and at this point, if I want to stream sounds, I'd much rather switch to something like EXP Soundboard with Voicemeeter. Don't waste your money on this.
