I have two lightly used Voltbike Urban v1 I bought during the pandemic. Probably less than 100km per bike in the last 4 years. The two pronged connector for the battery is horrible, the battery with... See more

Issues resolved
This review is for voltbikes customer service, not the bikes. In 2020 I purchased a Yukon 750 and it's been flawless. When the Mrs expressed an interest it made sense to get the same bike in the step through design. It arrived with a broken headlight, bent rear fender, and an untrue rear wheel. Repeated emails to customer service, sales, the technician that had responded to a previous email, have gone unanswered. Prior to purchasing they responded same or next day. Buyer beware.
George from voltbike called me a few hours after posting this review. He was unaware of the issues and seems to legitimately want to help address them. I'll update review.
Update, Sept 17, 2021 George at voltbike has followed up as he said he would. Recieved the replacement items to repair the bike today. Thanks George.

No service, no bike
After my review, Voltbike promptly contacted me (suddenly, service seems possible).
George emailed me on 18/05/2021, letting me know he will mail a replacement LCD screen the next day.
Needless to say: to date, I neither received the screen, nor a response to my email.
(George, in case you were wondering again: the email was sent as a reply to the same email you contacted me from, salesatvoltbike.com - it is the last one in a couple of back-and-forth communication.)
Such a great deal in Canada
Volt Bike was able to manage through the pandemy. I have ordered 2 bikes a Yukon 750 Limited and a Urban for my wife. Those 2 bikes are from a price-quality ratio the best deal in Canada. they are well built, have the right technology (Bafang, Shimano, Hydrolic disc brakes, etc) and are a joy to ride with 9 levels of PAS.
Volt Bravo Ebikes well worth the wait
My wife and I ordered two Bravos April 29th. I will not say how long they took to get to us ( not as advertised) just to say I understand all the COVID and shipping/supply issues conspired against a quick delivery. As far as the companies communications I would give them 2-3 stars. This is an area they need to grow in .... but now we do have the bikes I would go 5+ stars. Price point is great for our need which is commuting into town and short trips (+- 5 to 40km). We bought the upgraded battery and my wife tested it out one day and made it from Canmore Alberta to Johnson Canyon in Banff Park and return (100km) using mid level pedal assist. We are both experienced bike owners and have mountain bikes, road bikes and fat bikes we use for fitness and fun. The Volt Bravo is fun too. With throttle it's like having a small motor cycle (almost). Disc brakes and wide tires are a real selling point for safety. Engine is good enough for us to make it up reasonably steep hills at 20 -25km/hr. At top pedal assist (9) we cruise at 30-31 km per hour with no effort. At the same pedal assist we can fly at 34-35 with a medium effort. To summarize: great bang for buck, solid construction with decent components but company need to work on communication with customers.
I was in to see if I could see a bravo
I was in to see if I could see a bravo. NO chance. They are busy and I met George. He looks like he is fully engaged. I think we all need to remember China shut down. That's where inventory comes from. We will all get our bikes. If you really look hard you will see all distributors are having a hard time. If you want to pay $5000, I have seen lots of those. ;)
Don't expect actual bike to show up any time soon, but your money will be taken
Placed an order for a Bravo bike May 23, the website stated at that time that there would be stock mid June available. My credit card was charged June 30, no shipment information was ever sent. After repeated phone calls, the latest information is that there is no stock left and I will have to wait until August, no concrete date for shipping was provided.
Maybe these are good bikes, but if nothing is ever available, that's irrelevant. Very disappointing, will have to look elsewhere to find bikes that can actually be purchased.
Also shame on voltbike to not be able to count orders and provide accurate information and to charge credit cards weeks and months in advance of actual shipping.
Great ebike
I ordered my Voltbike Yukon 750 Limited last late September and received it within 2 weeks (they were quiet and orders were filled quickly). After doing all the comparisons between company models and pricing, it became quite clear which bike I should buy. Before I bought my bike, I was able to see the different models as there were bikes in my area. The bike is everything and more than my expectations. I have about 600 kms on it and have no problems. I will be buying my wife a Voltbike, just not sure which model, likely the Urban.
VoltBike shipment from China will it ever arrive?
Volt Bike Enduro order placed April 22, 2020 with a two week back order on their website. No problem I can wait 2 weeks. 2 weeks latter the expected shipping date was changed and delayed another two weeks. Month latter VoltBike decided to delay it yet again until mid June. Called customer support and the rep. didn't even ask my name or the kind of bike i bought and said that everyone is doing the best that they can and because of covid bikes are being delayed. Not too impressed Hope Volt Bike can work out the staffing issue Not my issue I just want my purchase.
Update June 3 2020 Bike has delayed yet AGAIN... new inventory is arriving in the end of June + Volt Bikes claims "Each bike is individually assembled, tuned, inspected, and packed. Currently, this process takes 4 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!! + This doesn't even include shipping time so add another WEEK. Add it up I MIGHT get my bike around August ! Another note: During this entire process not once did VoltBike send me an email informing me of any delays in shipping the bike to me. Expected inventory arrival time is published on their website arriving from China. Do not expect follow up from them unless you contact them.

Very happy with my voltbike mariner
Very happy with my voltbike mariner, good service
After talking with George at Voltbike…
After talking with George at Voltbike he immediately resolved my issue with the free helmets. Thanks George! We actually love the bikes and don't get very far before someone stops us to ask about them.
Bought 2 bikes and didn't get free helmets.
I bought 2 Voltbike Mariners in 2017. Did not get the 2 free helmets as promised. Not getting any response from Voltbike whatsoever. We like the bikes but if this is customer support I would suggest buying elsewhere.
I bought my Voltbke Yukon 750 last…
I bought my Voltbke Yukon 750 last August. Put on about 2000km. Great bike -- trouble free, easy handler, good looker! For winter driving in Red Deer AB I bought studded tires. These are a must for winter.
Good work Chris, etc. Thanks for the good service.
My new Kodiak
After 60 years of pedalling my knees and back appreciate the power assist. My kodiak is going to eliminate so many car trips by being able to carry, well, almost anything. The assembly was easy, it runs like a charm, and hills are not a challenge anymore. It came in two days, and was easy to learn to ride. I’m back as a cyclist, thanks Voltbike.
Actually I am waiting for my VoltBike…
Actually I am waiting for my VoltBike Outback to ship. Can someone tell me what has been your experience about an Outback, if you own one?
What are the pros and cons etc.
Swarna
Should have bought local
Not impressed.
Bike keeps going dark. Complete power failure. The fix is to spend 10 min taking the battery apart to pull the fuse.. every single day..I'm over this bike
Support has not addressed the issue..I will NEVER buy a product like this online again. Shop locally, where you will have a shop with a dedicated service team

OKANAGAN senior rider
I received my YUKON 750 last summer and in the first month or so rode over 2000 kms. Tried in out in winter- great in 6 inch deep snow but too dangerous for an "old guy" on straight ice. These are "cheater"motocross bikes for senior citizens!!
Keep up the good work!
Cheers

My 750 Yukon Limited Volt (Black)
The customer service, the bike, and the price is really outstanding . The shipping company delivered the bike to my house one day early that was a nice bonus. Assembling the bike was easy and fast, check the battery to make sure it is fully charged and the tire pressure , put on your helmet to be safe and go for a test ride. I am very pleased with the whole experience, thanks to George and his employees for a job well done! I highly recommend this Volt bike company! This is a real " 5 star company "
Great bike
A month and a half 94km and I'm loving life and look forward to riding my Yukon! I'm 250lbs 54 years old with a bad back and I blow by the young guys without a sweat and yes I pedal! This was an excellent purchase I almost like it as much as my Harley and the wife's happy I like to ride now.

Good, reliable scooter and great design
I recently bought VoltBike Metro 500W Electric Scooter from VoltBike.ca. I am using the bike almost 2 months now and want to say I am impressed. The design is outstanding, the only one I can find in North America. Very often people stop me on the road and make comments. I did almost 300 km, and so far not a single issue. I just come back from trip and recharge it. They give me very good price on VoltBike Metro too.
I like that it does have 3 trunk compartments and anti theft alarm. No body can touch my bike!!!
