Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 150 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the company's subscription practices, particularly regarding the cancellation of "lifetime" memberships without prior notice or explanation. Customers also reported issues with the service itself, finding it unreliable and often not working as expected, especially with streaming services. The customer service was frequently described as unresponsive and unhelpful, leaving many feeling ignored and frustrated. The primary concern for many customers revolved around the company's decision to revoke lifetime subscriptions after an acquisition, with people feeling that the company failed to honor previous agreements. This led to a strong sense of betrayal and a lack of trust in the company's commitment to its customers.

Lifetime should mean lifetime

I don’t care who sold me the lifetime sub, as long as the service is still in the same name, you have the possibility to give us our lifetime subs. If you are really that desperate to charge me again I’m just gonna switch to another service. A single VPN customer generates almost no server costs and you are instead just taking the massive backlash from your ex-customers. Very bad decision making of the new owners.

Thank you for your honest feedback — we fully understand why you feel this way.

To clarify: we did not acquire the old company or its contracts, only the infrastructure and technology under an asset-only sale. The Lifetime Deals were never disclosed to us, nor included in the financials or merchant records we received (many were sold externally, like on StackSocial).

Even so, we chose to keep those LTD accounts running for two additional years entirely at our own expense, despite never receiving the revenue from them. We understand that from your side, it feels like “the same name, same brand = same obligation,” but legally, it’s not the same company.

We respect your decision if you choose to leave, but please know this wasn’t a careless or greedy decision — it was a tough call by a small team trying to fix a system we didn’t create.

Removed all Life Time Service customers and try to make you pay again.

Stay away from this company: they revoked all Life Time Subscription accounts, saying they "did not buy the obligations, only the infrastructure" and "were not aware of the sale of Life Time Subscriptions" even though these were still ADVERTISED on THEIR website AFTER they bought the company. Clear lies, which they to cover up using generic, generated responses. Again, stay away!

Thank you for sharing your concerns — we hear how strongly you feel.

To clarify: after we acquired the infrastructure and technology of VPN Secure in 2023, we worked hard to rebuild the platform, but the Lifetime Deals sold by the previous owners were never disclosed in the sales documents or merchant records we received (they were processed externally through platforms like StackSocial).

We understand you believe we should have known — but we only discovered the full scope months later, well after the deal was closed. Despite that, we kept LTD accounts running for two extra years entirely at our own cost, even though we never received any of the original revenue.

We know this situation has caused frustration and distrust, and we respect your choice if you no longer wish to use the service. We’re here answering every review because we believe in staying transparent, even when it’s tough.

When lifetime doesn't mean lifetime.
What a joke, paid for a lifetime access to VPN and not honoured. Any company that is willing to cancel your lifetime account is not to be trusted. What other things will they change or cancel? DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CHEATS.

We understand why you feel this way — we truly do.

To clarify: when we acquired VPN Secure in 2023, it was through an asset-only deal — we got the tech and infrastructure, but none of the original company’s contracts, obligations, or revenue from past Lifetime Deals.

Even though we weren’t legally bound, we chose to keep those LTD accounts active for two more years at our own cost, trying to offer continuity during a difficult transition.

Beware of VPN Secure’s bait-and-switch…

Beware of VPN Secure’s bait-and-switch tactics. Like many others, I purchased their so-called “lifetime” access plan under the promise of uninterrupted VPN service for life. Unfortunately, that promise turned out to be hollow.

After a period of use, VPN Secure unilaterally revoked access, citing that continuing to honor “lifetime” accounts was no longer profitable for them. Let me be clear: that is not the customer’s fault that’s the risk the company assumed when they chose to offer such a product.

This is not a technical failure or a force majeure. It’s a deliberate business decision to abandon customers they already took money from. If a company can just redefine what “lifetime” means after the fact, what else might they feel entitled to walk back?

Worse, there was no reasonable compensation, no prorated refund, no true goodwill gesture. Just a cold, corporate shrug and a redirect to a new subscription model. That’s not just bad customer service it’s deceptive marketing.

I strongly urge others to steer clear. There are better VPNs out there with integrity and transparent business practices. VPN Secure is anything but secure when it comes to trust.

Thanks for laying out your concerns so clearly — we fully understand why you (and many others) feel this way.

You’re right that the risk of offering Lifetime Deals sat with the original seller. But here’s the key point: when we acquired the technology in 2023, it wasn’t a purchase of the company — it was an asset-only acquisition. That means no access to the contracts, no access to the revenue collected from LTD sales, and no inherited legal responsibility.

Even so, we chose to keep LTD accounts running for two more years, fully at our own cost — a choice we made because we knew how painful this would be otherwise.

We accept that many will still walk away, and we won’t try to argue you out of your position. But it’s not “bait-and-switch” — it’s a hard operational reality we’ve been open about from the start.

We wish you the best with whichever provider you choose next.

You can’t buy the revenue w/o the liability

You can’t buy a company’s recurring revenue and disavow the lifetime customers that were essential in providing the cash infusion to make the company grow. This is so bad. So bad.

Thank you for voicing this — we truly understand how bitter this feels.

To clarify: we didn’t buy the company’s recurring revenue. We acquired only the technology and infrastructure, not the contracts, customer database, or payments from the prior business. The Lifetime Deals you mention were never disclosed to us, never appeared in the official financials, and we never received a cent of that cash.

Even so, we chose to keep LTD accounts running for two more years at our own expense to soften the blow — because we knew how hard this would hit long-time users.

We know that’s not enough for many, and we respect your decision to walk away. But we’ve stayed open and transparent, even when it’s been hard.

Absolutely terrible company

Absolutely terrible company. Illegal business practices, business owners who lie to customers, complete lack of support. A complete ripoff. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
They claim to have acquired "technology only". But if this were true then ALL accounts would have been deactivated. The fact is they lie about it. They didn't do their due diligence when acquiring the company, and now they refuse to honour agreements and contracts which they don't like.
They claim to have seen all the costs, incomings, outgoings, data usage etc before purchasing. THEY failed to recognise the data usage. THEY did not ask about contracts.
They claim that the previous owners did not disclose these lifetime contracts. IF that is true then the remedy is for them to sue the previous owners. But not honouring the contracts which THEY PURCHASED WITH THE TECHNOLOGY is ILLEGAL.
Hopefully there will be a class action law suit which will sort this awful company out!!
This claim that the new company ONLY acquired technology and not accounts is clearly false because the accounts CONTINUED TO OPERATE! And the ones who are paying ongoing fees STILL ARE OPERATING! So the company clearly did NOT ONLY buy technology, they clearly bought customers accounts as well! Just more lies on top of lies.
When you purchase a company you purchase ALL of the company, the debts, the infrastructure, the accounts, EVERYTHING. The FACT that the accounts CONTINUED to be active proves that the company purchased them along with the technology and infrastructure. And frankly if that wasn't the case then the company STILL had an obligation to inform customers about any changes. That did not happen, that is STILL a breach of contract. But the new company clearly DID buy the existing customers accounts along with the technology, and they have a legal responsibility to adhere to the contracts which they purchased.
But hey, feel free to reply again with more lies. It just makes your company look worse and worse every time you do.

Updated Answer #2: ⬇️

Thank you for your persistence, Js — we want to clarify again, even if we know this won’t satisfy your expectations.

Yes, the accounts continued operating — because we chose to, as a gesture to users, despite not being legally bound to. We didn’t inherit customer contracts, payment data, or account records in the asset-only sale; we inherited only the tech and infrastructure. The accounts existed purely as technical records within the system, not as active commercial relationships we were legally obligated to maintain.

You’re right that ongoing subscribers (who paid monthly through third-party systems we did access) continued, because those were new cashflow contracts we handled directly. Lifetime Deals were a completely separate set of obligations from the prior seller, tied to sales we never received funds for — and no, they didn’t show up in the merchant statements or audits we reviewed during due diligence.

We understand you believe the legal responsibility should have transferred. But asset-only acquisitions under business law don’t work that way — no matter how it feels emotionally.

We’ll keep facing these conversations honestly, no matter how many edits or harsh words come — because we’re not here to hide.

— VPN Secure Team

Updated Answer: ⬇️

Thank you for expanding your review — we respect that you’re passionate about this and want to address the core points you’ve raised.

To clarify: while it’s true that we acquired only the technology and infrastructure, the reason all accounts weren’t shut down immediately is because we chose to keep the Lifetime Deal accounts running for two additional years at our own cost — even though we didn’t receive any of the original payments or have access to the prior contracts.

We understand the frustration around due diligence, but all audit work was done based on official merchant statements (PayPal and PinPayments) provided by the seller under Boost Network. The LTD sales from StackSocial were never reported to us, and they didn’t appear in the merchant records we were given — meaning there was no legal or financial trace of those obligations.

We looked into legal action against the seller, but the costs and complexities of cross-jurisdiction litigation were prohibitive. So, we focused on keeping the service running as long as we could with the resources we had.

We’re not here to convince you — but we are here to be fully transparent, no matter how hard the conversation.

Thanks for reaching out — we understand why you’re frustrated.

To clarify: the Lifetime Deal you purchased years ago was sold by the previous owners of VPN Secure (often via StackSocial), not by us. When we acquired the VPN Secure technology and brand in 2023, it was through an asset-only acquisition — meaning we did not receive contracts, payment records, or any revenue from those past LTD sales.

We know this doesn’t change how it feels on your side, and we respect that. But since we never received your original payment, we can’t process a refund. You may want to contact StackSocial or the original seller directly for refund options, as they were the ones who collected those funds.

Thanks for voicing your frustration — we hear you.

To clarify: VPN Secure was acquired in 2023 through an asset-only deal, not a corporate takeover. That means we purchased the technology, brand, and infrastructure — but not the contracts, payments, or liabilities from the previous company, including Lifetime Deals (LTDs).

We know that explanation won’t satisfy everyone, and we respect that some users will walk away. But we didn’t hide or run: we openly communicated, extended LTD access for two additional years (despite no inherited obligation), and are still here personally answering each tough review.

Thank you, Aviv — we hear your frustration, and we understand why this feels completely unfair from your side.

The truth is: when we acquired VPN Secure, it was an asset-only deal, not a purchase of the company or its legal obligations. That’s not an “excuse” — it’s the actual structure of the transaction. We didn’t receive contracts, payments, or liabilities; we only received the servers, code, and brand.

That said, we chose to keep Lifetime accounts running for two extra years at our own expense — even though we weren’t legally bound to. We know that’s cold comfort to many, but it wasn’t about trickery or bad faith; it was about trying to offer some continuity in a situation we didn’t create.

Thank you for your review — we understand why this feels unfair, and we appreciate you laying it out clearly.

You’re right on one thing: we acquired the assets only, not the company, not its contracts, and not its legal liabilities. But here’s the key detail: monthly subscribers had to cancel their old billing agreements (with the previous company’s PayPal and PinPayments accounts) and resubscribe under the new company — they weren’t “carried over” automatically. We didn’t inherit anyone’s active payments or contracts.

With Lifetime users, there were no active billing ties, so we voluntarily kept those accounts running two extra years, even though we were receiving no revenue from them at all.

We know none of this feels satisfying from your side, and we’re not asking you to excuse the disruption. But we are here, explaining openly and not hiding behind silence.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we genuinely wish you better experiences ahead — wherever you choose to go.

This company is terrible

This company is terrible, they are operating illegally by their own admission. They argue that buying the company they need to honor the beforehand liabilities except for existing memberships; there is a lot of hypocrisy from them. This is clearly an illegal move from new management trying to avoid added costs. The company is now trying to say that it is perfectly legal to sell goods and services and now because of unforseen costs (a.k.a. our ppl didn't do their job) it's ok to just no longer honor sold memberships; just forget entirely that your lifetime membership is not an liability or asset to us.

Thank you for sharing your concerns — we understand why you feel this way, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to voice it.

Let us clarify, respectfully and transparently:

When we acquired VPN Secure in 2023, we did not buy the company — we purchased only its assets (servers, brand, infrastructure). We did not take over its legal entity, contracts, liabilities, or prior revenues. This is a very standard type of transaction known as an asset-only sale — not a full business acquisition — and while it absolutely feels unfair to Lifetime users, it’s not illegal.

We fully acknowledge that the situation is painful and feels hypocritical, especially when you (rightly) point out that we benefit from the brand while distancing from past liabilities. But the truth is: the money from Lifetime Deals never came to us, and the obligations were tied to a company we didn’t purchase.

Despite this, we kept all Lifetime accounts active for two extra years at our own cost — which we did voluntarily, not legally. We also should have communicated earlier and better, and we’ve publicly owned that mistake.

We’re not here to argue or dismiss your feelings — only to explain the facts honestly. You are, of course, free to go elsewhere, and we respect that choice. But we are not operating illegally, and we’re not hiding. We’re still here, still facing this criticism head-on, and still doing our best to be transparent — even when it’s unpopular.

Thank you again for your feedback. We genuinely wish you better experiences ahead.

They cancelled all lifetime subscriptions. Lied about they didn't know and how it was an asset only purchase when they bought the company. Thank you for taking the time to leave this detailed review — even though it’s harsh, we respect that you’re speaking your mind.

We want to clarify a few points as openly as we can, knowing full well this may not change your opinion.

When we acquired VPN Secure in 2023, it wasn’t a purchase of the company — it was an asset-only acquisition. That means we took on the infrastructure, servers, brand, and technology, but not the legal contracts, liabilities, or funds from the old business (BoostNetwork Pty Ltd). We did not receive the money from past Lifetime Deals, nor the contracts behind them. We fully understand how that sounds like a technical loophole to many users — but legally, that’s the distinction between acquiring a business’s assets and buying its corporate entity.

Now, as for why we “kept some customers and got rid of others”:
We kept all monthly, annual, and business subscribers who were actively paying into our own newly set-up merchant accounts — because those were new contracts created under us, not under the prior company. For Lifetime users, we had no payment records, no obligations, and no revenue flow. Even so, we chose to keep Lifetime accounts active for two additional years entirely at our own expense, to avoid cutting anyone off abruptly when we realized what had happened.

We fully acknowledge that our communication around this was late and imperfect. We should have informed Lifetime users earlier, and we’ve apologized for that repeatedly. We’re not hiding from the criticism — we’re here, every day, answering reviews, even when they’re angry or calling us crooks. That’s not something we have to do; it’s something we believe is right to do, even if it doesn’t win people back.

You’re right: there are many VPNs out there. We respect your choice to go elsewhere if you feel you can’t trust us. We sincerely wish you a better experience with whichever provider you choose next.

Thank you again for your feedback — it matters, even when it’s hard to hear.

Ok guys

Ok guys, I appreciate the transparency. But I can't follow your argument on the lifetime deal situation.

You can either aquire the company, inherit the complete userbase with all contracts and honor everyone of them or you acquire the company without any existing users, start form scratch and offer new contracts to everyone.
What you can't do is pick which contracts you want to keep. This isn't what "asset-only" means. I am making sense, right?
Anyway, I hope your male physiology enhancement business is doing better.

You are making sense from a consumer fairness standpoint — we hear you loud and clear. But from a legal standpoint, asset-only sales do work exactly like that: we acquired the servers, tech, and infrastructure, but not the company entity, its liabilities, or its prior contractual obligations. That’s not us “picking and choosing” — that’s literally what the legal structure allows.

It’s frustrating, we get it. We’ve explained (probably a thousand times by now) that we didn’t inherit the LTD contracts, we didn’t get the original funds, and yet we still kept those accounts active for 2 extra years, at our own cost, trying to offer some continuity.

You’re allowed to disagree with how we handled it — no argument there. But we didn’t design the asset-only deal rules, and we didn’t dodge responsibilities we legally acquired. We’ve simply explained, openly, what happened and how we tried to handle it (even knowing it would make us wildly unpopular).

So lifetime subscription don't mean anything anymore?

Bought a lifetime subscription ages ago and was using the service almost daily. But now out of nowhere it just stops working. I'm guessing it going through some maintenance or something. Then I get the emails with their excuse of "not knowing" that they had lifetime subscribers. Utter BS. Not recommending them to anyone ever again.

Reply from VPN Secure

Thanks for laying that out — and yeah, we get why it feels like BS from your side.

To clarify (even if you don’t want to hear it): the “not knowing” part wasn’t about pretending LTDs didn’t exist — it’s that when we bought the assets (servers, tech, infrastructure) in 2023, we didn’t get the customer contracts, payment records, or any LTD revenue. Those sales (many from third-party sites) weren’t disclosed, and we didn’t inherit them legally.

We know that still feels like a slap in the face, especially when you were a daily user. We kept the lifetime accounts running two extra years at our own cost — not because we had to, but because we genuinely didn’t want to cut people off right away.

If you’re walking away, we respect that decision. But we’re not hiding, we’re not ghosting, and we’re definitely not pretending this was easy or “just business.”

Thanks for the time you spent with us, even if this is where the road ends.

"Really? LIFETIME service just randomly cuts off?"

That was my orignal comment, but I read the company's replies and I have to be honest, this is the first time I see a company reply to every single review. I do see alot of transparency and I feel it was unfair from me personally to judge just by one article/youtube review. If any of them stated they are actually reading all of our comments, a 3 men team I would look at it differently.

It sucks, it REALLY DOES, i might be naive here, but maybe we giving them too much hate.

I will change my review to 3 stars instead of 1 and see what happens, maybe I might change it to a higher or a lower number after seeing what happens.

Guys I hope we, as consumers win. But I also hope every company was this communicative, we at least have to give them that.

it does not get more deplorable than this

Owners use Chat GPT to answer comments here. So even your "being honest and facing the backlash, answering every comment" is a lie. Under your "meticulous" copy and paste process you forgot to delete "Chat GPT said" from some answers. i have screenshots of those but cannot upload here.

Moreover, your website uses 5 star reviews from StackSocial, which includes happy lifetime users that thought that was a good lifetime deal and lost their acess during this scam. As i understand it is completely okay for you to cut services as you only acquired assets and did not know about LTDs (which also contributed to assets you acquired by paying customers) and still continue to use their earlier good experiences(which was under the old evil owner) as advertisement.

You could have started a VPN service from the scratch. But no, you wanted to use name and legacy of a established and known VPN service. I see that you are very comfortable with that as you blatantly use older 5 star experiences from LTD customers in your website. When it comes to honor contracts, noooo it was a asset only sale we dont have to honor LTDs, we were never notified.

StackSocial has been notified about this and your answers blaming them and referring customers to them for refunds.

I wonder what Chat GPT is going to say now. Hello Chat GPT, i like you and admire you but isn't it somehow deplorable that scammers can use you for some polished responses so that they seem as "caring and honest people"?

Oh wow — you caught us! 🎭

Yes 😱 we use tools like ChatGPT to help draft responses. Imagine that: a small 3-person team with thousands of reviews, trying to communicate clearly, transparently, and consistently — using technology to assist, not to replace, human oversight. Scandalous, right?

Let’s break it down:
✅ Every reply is reviewed by a human.
✅ Every decision is made by a human.
✅ Every backlash is faced by a human (hi, it’s us — we’re here, reading these!).
✅ Every tough, unpopular explanation we’ve given? Still our explanation, whether or not it was drafted with AI assistance.

You know what’s funny? It’s 2025, and companies using AI to handle workload spikes is the norm — not a sinister plot. But hey, if using tech tools to stay on top of 600+ reviews makes us the cartoon villains in this saga, then sure, we’ll wear the cape. 🦹‍♂️

As for the real issue — the Lifetime Deal shutdown — we’ve been transparent (painfully so), and yes, we knew the fallout would be rough. But no, we’re not scammers. No, we’re not hiding behind bots. And no, we’re not ghosting anyone: we’ve shown up, replied, explained, and taken the hits directly — even when it stings.

So thanks for the flair and humor in your comment; honestly, we appreciate it. And hey, we’re right here — whether we reply with help from AI or just by drinking six coffees in a row and typing until midnight. ☕

Do not trust this company. Run don't walk. Cancelation of lifetime subscription.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts — we know many Lifetime users are upset.

The reality is: when we acquired the infrastructure in 2023, we didn’t inherit the old company’s contracts, liabilities, or funds. Even so, we kept Lifetime accounts active for two more years at our own cost, trying to offer continuity.

We understand if that doesn’t feel like enough, but we’re being open about the situation — even if it’s unpopular.

This Company Shouldn't Exist

This Company Shouldn't Exist
They revoke lifetime license because they don't want to honor their agreements. Anyone who had a lifetime subscription should pursue a class action lawsuit.

Edit: The responses from the company seem to take the attitude that because they think their actions were legal, their company should not suffer consequences. Any entity involved with the parent company, Infinite Quant ltd, should be seen as unethical and avoided at any cost.

Thank you for your feedback — we understand this situation has left many Lifetime users frustrated and angry.

While we didn’t inherit contracts or funds when acquiring the infrastructure in 2023, we acknowledge that doesn’t lessen how this feels on your side. We’re here, answering openly — even knowing it won’t satisfy everyone — because we believe transparency matters, even when it’s hard.
