- Took them 10 days and two emails after receiving the boots to issue the refund

My package was not delivered . Weird events show up on the Purolator tracking . Safety concern, cannot deliver , Return to sender . I find out Valhalla put the wrong address on the package . How that is possible , I don't know. Stuff happens though . They tell me there will be no refund until they receive the goods back. I waited weeks for the BC to Ontario trip then weeks for the return back to BC . I tell them they took $ 500 from me, didn't supply the goods and I have to wait because of a nonsensical ridiculous policy they have ? I told the clerk there is no scenario where I don't get a refund , so why not refund me right now ??? Own up to YOUR MISTAKES and refund me immediately as a decent company should. No, not going to happen. The return package is in LaLa land now and it could take weeks to get a refund. Never again Valhalla . You need to learn these policies have repercussions. I buy a lot of goods and none will ever go your way again. This is how retail goes bankrupt. Uncaring corporate culture catches up with you eventually . Clerks who don't even question nonsensical policies and follow them blindly likely for fear of their jobs. Good luck.

Item was shipped out next day and arrived 1 day early so that part of the purchase was very good. . I Would have given a 5 star rating except the hiking shoes were clearly worn by someone for an extended period of time….not excessive use ….but the soles were scuffed up so I suspect they were either a display shoe or that someone gave them a light try out and then returned them. The box definitely was not new and looked pretty old. In spite of this I kept the shoes because they were on sale ,they fit well and I really liked the dual lacing system. Having said this I think the company should be disclosing if they are selling shoes that are not in brand new condition regardless if they are on sale . A little disappointed for sure but hopefully they can improve on this because the company offers some good products.

This company does not accept free shipping returns. You must pay your own shipping back. They will never update you about your return and will even put it back into their own system but neglect and take your time processing your return. Never again will i buy or recommend this company. So many other options out there folks. Free shipping and all. Shop at MEC or SAIL instead. Free shipping returns !!!

Horrible customer service. Generic replies.

While the products VPO offers are certainly good, the shipping and return policy is out of bounds. You pay for shipping, and you pay for returns. Even when I needed to order the same product twice during the Canada Post strike, and they encouraged me to do so in order to receive my order with certainty before Christmas, they wouldn't waive the return shipping charge. All they wanted to offer was to send me a waybill and deduct the shipping charges from my refund. Sorry guys, there are other providers out there that are way more accommodating. Will consider others when ordering next. VPO has had their chance and failed.

Bought Snow Peak products on 2 occasions. Both shipped accurately, one during the Christmas rush and one shortly after. Both arrived in what I considered a very reasonable amount of time with their basic shipping option. Large selection of top quality gear. Thank you

DO NOT PURCHASE! Well over 30 days since my order was shipped. Alerted seller twice nothing received and they ignore every word of my emails and give back a response to say its everyone's fault but there's. Beyond unprofessional.

You have to pay for returns. I had to pay 40 dollars plus to return a backpack. Don’t order from this company.

Awesome crew. Had a hull failure on a borea kayak. The manufacturer called kayak dustrubution in quebec refused to warrantee but VPO new denver went to bat for me

Avoid. Sold something not in stock. Waited forever. Now they say the shipment was declined not even in my city. DO NOT BUY from this unethical seller.

I ordered the wrong size of pants because vpo had them listed in European sizes not Canadian or US sizes. This is a Canadian site. There was no distinction or notation. It cost me $20 to return, no free returns. I was trying to support a Canadian business, should have gone straight to the manufacturer's site they listed the correct sizes and have free returns

Very lengthy delivery time.
Product was OLD stock, different from same product now.
Cannot return because I removed tags before realizing old stock. Customer service indicates I should know it is old stock because it was on sale. How? I asked them... She told me SKU was different from newer stock... Try Altitude Sports from Montreal. Quick shipping and good customer service.

I suspected, from the price of the items I bought, that something was strange. I was right. The people at VPO charged a very fair price for three items that were exactly as described, that were sent to me promptly and included a friendly handwritten note at no extra charge! Now that's strange. But I love it. Thank you VPO!

Have nothing but good things to say about VPO. They offer a great selection of high quality outdoor gear and clothing. They know what they are selling. Their customer service is super responsive -- a shout out to Danielle. Love that they carry tall/long sizing. The big-box outdoor stores seem to think they can only make money off the average shaped/sized customer. All-round, VPO as is a refreshing antidote to MEC, Sail and Altitude Sports.

VPO has really come through for me as I gear up for hiking this season. When I realized I accidentally ordered the wrong volume of the Osprey Rook after their closing hours on a Friday, I sent an email off to their general inquiries address. Becca took action first thing Saturday morning, contacted the Vernon store (where the item was shipping from), and had the order cancelled within 10 minutes. I now have my 65li Rook in hand and couldn't be happier! Also great to see that VPO carries it in the Mallard colorway.

Then, after a disappointing experience trying to order direct from a certain boot brand, I found a pair of waterproof boots in my rare wide size on VPO's site. I ordered them on Monday and had them laced up for a day hike on Wednesday.

VPO has quickly made a loyal customer out of me!

Update 5/5/2022: Have visited the Vancouver store in person, had a fantastic experience. Staff on the floor were very friendly, and able to help me locate 2 items I needed, both of which were the last one in stock at the location. Much better experience than I've had at other outdoor gear chains.

Before I ordered a RAB downpour jacket from VPO, I sent them an email asking if I could receive it within 2 weeks, they replied within an hour that there should be no problem, so I ordered it. They shipped it the very next day via Purolator ground from BC to Quebec and I received it within a week. I just wish their site would just show if the item really is "in stock, will ship within 2 days" rather than "estimated arrival in BC" ( I wasn't sure if that was their arrival date or the customer's ). In fact it seems that if your size and color are shown, it's in stock. But that's it. This is the only online store that had my size in the color I wanted. So I'm very happy with my experience with VPO ! And free shipping over $49 ! Very good legit seller!

Valhalla Pure Outfitters is the weakest online store and it seems that they do their best not to sell their products.
The delivery time is huge.
I do not recommend this site for orders.
