Customer service, or more correctly, narcissistic customer service. Hired by narcissists to speak to us common humans using every kind of narcissistic tactic there is in the Netherlands. Imagine a privileged white person, born and raised in the Netherlands, who has no clue how the world really is, who is not connected to their emotions, but HEY has an amazing positive energy right from the beginning of the call. Asked me about my kings day as if I give a shit about chitchatting with a narcissist. You can tell when you can talk about your day with someone, even customer service, and you can tell when someone is simply “doing their job” and “moving their lips” and throwing some words out of their mouth just for the sake of playing the game. This customer service is basically just playing the “nice guy” game. Vriendenloterij and its workers are not good people, you can tell even if they answer you with a “GOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING!”. Right away.

As everyone else mentioned already, they find shady ways to enroll without your permission (advertisements that you won a gift through purchases from various stores), you enroll to get the gift and then they start charging you every month, without the option of canceling on the phone. On the website the ask 30€ fee for being able to cancel something that you never enrolled in. And then they threaten you with Incasso procedures.
Extremely shady behavior, very annoying communication.

ILLEGAL AND SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES.
THEY SEND YOU POST WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION, YOU OPEN THE POST AND FIND 5X €10,000 AND YOU THINK OH HOW NICE AND THEY SAY MONEY GUARANTEED ETC. AND THEN YOU FOLLOW THE QR CODE TO MAKE AN ACCOUNT AND THEY SAY “GIVE US YOUR IBAN SO WE CAN SEND YOU IF YOU WIN” BUT THEY NEVER MENTION THAT YOU ARE GIVING IBAN TO THEM FOR AUTOMATIC MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION !!!! THEN THEY TRY TO TAKE €16 PER MONTH FROM YOU. I SAW A NOTIFICATION BY MY BANKING APP AND IMMEDIATELY CALLED THEM TO CANCEL AND DELETE MY ACCOUNT AND NEVER SEND ME ANY POST. THEY ALSO SPAM YOU WITH PHONE CALLS 9 IN THE MORNING. SO COMPLETELY PATHETIC COMPANY WHICH JUST ANNOYS PEOPLE, GOVERNMENT SHOULD CLOSE THIS COMPANY IMMEDIATELY

Do not participate. They utilize shady and misleading advertisement tactics, and you may unknowingly sign up, which will lead to money being automatically withdrawn, and also being flooded with spam email and mail.

VRIENDENLOTERIJ you have a problem on TrustPilot. You know what is it? They don't have the option of ZERO stars. So here is another 1 Star-review, to add to your 94% negative ratings. I have replied to your letters twice, there won't be a third. CEASE & DESIST, or the next correspondence you will receive from my side will be from a law-firm, from a government-organization and/or a consumer-protection official. This is the reference on your letter: 60041939. You address the letters to me, and then in the letter ask me for my full name and address?????????? Take a moment to consider how absurd this is and then take another moment to go ahead and cancel whatever personal details you have for me in your database. I will not send you my IBAN and I will not reply to any letters you may still send in the future. This needs to end immediately!

How can this scam even exist in a “well developed” country?
Ridiculous. Good that I don't use my Rabo and have 0 money there.I received this stupid piece of trash with my order from mediamarkt, why do they even send this sh.t? There was nothing about subscription and that I will need to pay monthly for something. Such a scam. I managed to cancel it somehow (I hope so). It was written to cancel it I need to call somewhere (wtf?) but there was option to cancel a ticket (? Lot ? Idk) so I cancelled it. Fortunately I’m not going to live in this country for long time so I don’t really care about this sh.t.
If you receive a brochure about some lottery with your order - remember that it’s a scam and don’t even try it. Throw in a garbage immediately.

I received a free ticket from action. Scratch and win ticket. I won 20 euros and had to fill in my information of which I did and suddenly 15 euro was taking from my account. Little did I know I was automatically a participant after accepting their policy.

I tried to terminate my participation online and filled out all my information on terminationexperts.com. and the I was charged 32 euros for it for termination. You will not see this amount early enough unless you read through all their policy.

Upon seeing this, I consulted vriendenloterij and they told me no letter was received by them even after more than 2 weeks. So they cancelled my account with them.
But termination experts still wants me to pay 32 euros plus 22 incasso if I refused to pay.
I called vriendenloterij to help confirm my cancelation with them by email to send as a proof to termination expert and they told me they are not affiliated with this company and are therefore sorry this happened to me and just hanged up on me.

I will urge all of you to be careful with these two companies. I think it is wrong for any company to hang up on any client especially if the client is not disrespectful

What a scam! Today, I learned that I was changed by this. I never authorized them to deduct money from my account or give my account number. How did they took account number and steal my data??? I called them to terminate the scam and refund all that they got from me.

I had the misfortune of dealing with VriendenLoterij and their VIP card, and I have to say it has been an incredibly frustrating experience.

Last month, I received two VIP cards during a visit to the Scheepvaart Museum, where an employee from VriendenLoterij explained that any subscriptions could be canceled within a month without incurring any charges. I followed their instructions and promptly canceled my subscription within the one-week window. To my surprise, I later received two emails from a third-party company, Termination Experts, demanding payment of 54 euros for each subscription, despite having canceled within the specified timeframe.

It feels like a scam, especially since I did everything according to their guidelines, and now I’m being asked to pay for something I had already canceled. I have already paid one of the charges, but the lack of clarity and transparency from VriendenLoterij and Termination Experts is deeply concerning. The experience has left me feeling deceived, and I wouldn't recommend dealing with VriendenLoterij based on this.

They may offer seemingly great deals, but when it comes to customer service and honoring their commitments, they fall short. Stay cautious, as it seems they do not hesitate to charge you even when you follow their instructions carefully.

Scammers. They say you can sign up one month for free and then start taking money out of your account. STAY AWAY.

The ticket says that it stops automatically - NOT TRUE.

Update - they are STILL taking money out of my account, even after I quit. I have reported these scammers and I advise everyone does the same.

They are just absolutely horrible. Cancelled the subscription around a year ago because I paid hundreds and I won 5 euro to Hema twice... Then around half year ago they started calling 2-3 times per day. One time I picked up and told them to go away politely. They asked if I want to cancel. I said yes and please stop calling. Every week I still get 3-5 calls. Completely incompetent.

First sends a free voucher. Then it doesn’t mention that nothing is free and we are going to be charged. It will be few months when you notice it then when you try to cancel, it’s almost impossible. I cancelled may be three times on the phone but I kept being charged. So it was not cancelled. Finally I asked them to cancel and send me confirmation. Luckily they did and today I received new email saying I need to pay 30 euro to proceed my cancellation. What kind of torture is this? What a scam! I see everyone having a same problem and nothing is being done about it. I’m not going to pay.

We received the free ticket for the lotery and now they are charging me, without my authorisation. We already contacted then 3 times, tring to cancel that, and maybe have a refund, as I don't want that, but they said that I need to paid, as I participate for the lotery, THAT I DIDN'T WANT TO.

But hey, guess what!? they deducted my bank account €15+ and now sent me mail, that i need to pay coz i played. Hello!are you crazy it's free play you said in that ads "scratch an egg", and i never received the €20 price so why deducted me €15.+ there's no way to remove your info coz i can't login since i didn't register or signup. they just got your all information; bank account, address to mail u and deduct money from your account. Do not fall on this scam!

I got ticket for 15e discount in media markt with this lottery. When I registered it everywhere its writed lottery its free no one will charge you but at the moment when You activated ticket they will everymonth take money from you account. Its impossible to cancel this online , they told me its some problem with website so still I got incasso on my account. Its first SCAM in Netherlands I ever seen. Try to avoid them If You want to give them money.

I got a lot as a present at mediamarkt when I bought a phone, I played the one lot I won for fun and went on with my life, what I did not know is that by playing this one lot , I was agreen with taking a subscription that will automatically take money of my back account every month. When I found out I called them I told them I never I agreed ok this not only playing every month but that they take money from my account like this !!!
I don't understand why media mark cooperate with this fraud. Nice present media Markt
