Negative stars would be more appropriate.

The only reason this company should get a 1 star review is because you cannot leave zero stars.
Very polite when getting you to sign up to their scheme & then atrocious from then on. Constant contradictions when you question what exactly you have been sold, where you can play golf, entitlements etc. a truly awful experience that I am very happy to be away from.
Please read your terms and conditions as well because hidden away is an automatic renewal clause that will trigger if you don’t give at least 6 months notice before your contract ends. Thankfully I had made many requests long before that time arose.
If you want to spend a lot of money for zero in return then this is the company for you!

Do not pay the auto-renewal fee

If you are reading this you have likely unfortunately fallen prey to the auto renewal scam that this horrible business likes to try and hold unsuspecting customers to. The same happened to us despite us not receiving any level of service from them and when I contacted the golf clubs they had only heard bad things about W1G and said they would never do business with them. I went through all the reviews on Trustpilot and managed to contact 2 other people who had had the same experience. To cut a long story short they didn't pay (one had a partner who was a solicitor) and neither did we. We were lucky to be able to take free legal/commercial advice before going back to W1G but basically listed the reasons why we wouldn't be paying and countered that we could potentially sue them for breach of contract as they are selling a product/service that doesn't exist. It was a stressful week but if this has happened to you don't let them bully you into paying. They are unethical, bordering on illegal and they know it. They are relying on small businesses not having the legal or commercial support to stand up to them. What a horrible way to earn your living.

Not worth spending your marketing…

Not worth spending your marketing budget on this! Like most people, we got stuck in spending another year with them when we had zero return on our contract with them. It was painful to try and book at type of golfing session with them, which is supposedly one of the benefits you get. The team take ages to get back to you and it's just not worth the hassle.

Echoing other negative comments on here…

Echoing other negative comments on here regarding the hidden 6 month break clause on initial contract. We did were not involved in any active communication reminding us about the upcoming "automatic renewal" with the the company(until 2 days before the new contract). Trying to speak to anyone on the phone is impossible.
We feel the renewal terms were not transparent.
We feel the 6 month notice period needs to be challenged as unfair and excessive.
We will also be reporting this company to trading standards if they insist on renewal payment.

Hello

Hello, got stuck in the same hole as many of you. When I came to cancel but in their very well hidden t&cs it states that I must give 6 months notice. Has anyone just not renewed and ignored and have they took legal action or do I need to bite the bullet and pay the renewal and cancel straight after?

Scam tactics – avoid at all costs

This company is nothing more than a scam. They provide no meaningful service, then use underhand automatic renewal clauses to trap businesses into paying again. Their communication is evasive and formulaic, clearly because they’ve pulled the same trick on countless others. It’s a deliberate money-grab dressed up as a “partnership.” Do not trust them, do not sign anything, and avoid at all costs.

Underhand automatic renewal tactics

This company relies on underhand tactics to trap businesses into unwanted automatic renewals. We received little to no service, yet they still attempted to force another year’s contract without consent. Judging by the many other reviews here, this is a tactic they use with countless companies. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! Now in our second term due to the contract auto enrolling and having no chocie but to continue with these cowboys. The main thing we were interested in was the Golf incentive. To book golf at any of the courses you actually want o play at is near impossible even if you try booking 3 weeks in advance. I'm pretty sure now they dont have any access to the nicer/more prestigeous courses but lure you in with them only to then try and book you a tee time at some run down goat field. Our account manager (if you can call him that) Mike Kelly only rears his head when you dare try and cancel the contract at the end of the term before they auto renew it for another painful and costly 2 years. It seems from my experience and from reading others that they orey on small businesses by promising them advertising with a golf package incentive, neither of which they deliver on. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Auto renew rolling contract which I was…

Auto renew rolling contract which I was forced to pay for a further 2 years. Please read the full T’s &C’s before signing. While it’s not illegal, it’s not brought to your attention prior to signing that the contract auto renews if you don’t give 6 months notice.

Pushy, Spammy, and Misleading – Avoid W1G

We had a very poor experience with W1G. Out of nowhere, they sent us an invoice claiming we had agreed to an auto-renewal, something we absolutely did not authorise. Since then, we’ve been receiving constant spam-like emails pressuring us to pay for a service we no longer use and never intended to continue.

Their communication is aggressive and misleading, making it feel more like a scam than a legitimate business practice. Despite telling them clearly that we do not wish to renew, they continue to contact us.

This kind of behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. Proceed with caution if you’re considering working with W1G and read every line of fine print carefully. Based on our experience, we do not recommend this company.

Read this before signing up!!

Zero stars for one of the shadiest companies going. Hopefully you read this before signing up with these clowns. Nothing but lies to get you to sign up, deliver nothing then try force this auto renewal on you.
If you have £2,000 going spare, put it on a horse and get more return than W1G/Golf Growth Group etc

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! 'Jack' who I believe is a front name for the sellers told I me I would receive a lot of things if I took out a golf club sponsorship. Nothing has materialised 4 months on. Spoke with a Matthew made promises about solving my issue but nothing a week later. Made a comment to the phone answerer about 'I don't no how you sleep at night' and told I was offending them, I said they missold me a package so I had a right to be upset. Received an email from Matthew saying he was busy and would sort by the end of the day, guess what? Nothing. He also told me I should refrain from ringing the office with my loathsome comments. Anyway, out of pocket as a small business, I don't know how they sleep at night.

Do not sign up!!

Do not sign up!!
I was pressured into it when I wasn’t ready. I never managed to get things set up as too confusing and no help on the phone.
I signed a 2 year contract and I gave up trying to do anything with it after I tried to book golf a couple of times but it took them so long to get back to me, around 4 weeks, my customer was no longer interested.
I’m now being bullied by being told I should have cancelled my renewal 6 months ago!
I don’t want to renew and will never go anywhere near them again.
Disgusting bullies

Unprofessional and Incompetent

This lot are the most unprofessional and incompetent company Ive ever dealt with. If you're thinking about taking out a golf package with them, AVOID!

They are full of promises, but once the contract is signed, the service quickly falls away to nothing short of abhorrent.
