Ethical, locally owned company

Really great small locally owned company. Phillimon and his team treated us like royalty. They made sure we were safe and also found the best sightings for us. Saw basically everything we were hoping to see. Food was amazing and beds comfortable. Couldn't have asked for more. 10/10 !!!

Experience Botswana with local guides

We went on a 9 night/ 10 day mobile safari in Botswana in September 2018 and would certainly recommend Phillimon and his Walking Stick Safaris. We travelled from Maun, through Moremi Game Reserve (Xinii was a real highlight of the trip) and to Khwai and then Savute, finishing in Kasane. Phillimon and his team looked after us extremely well, Joe's daily campfire fresh bread was quite remarkable and extremely delicious. Phillimon's skill in locating game delivered many breathtaking and close-up observations of the wonderful species that inhabit these lands. Five out of six of us had spent many years living in Botswana, self driving through all of Botswana's game reserves and parks, and I have to say the game viewing with Phillimon was beyond compare. It felt important to us that we were travelling with local people and supporting local communities and we would certainly make Phillimon our first port of call when we make another trip to Botswana. It really was a memorable experience for all the best possible reasons.

Botswana September 2018

Phillimon and his staff on our mobile safari through Moremi, Khwai and Savute were great. Phillimon was a great guide and game spotter. Our tents were spacious, the food was amazing and to top it all we had elephants, honey badgers and a civet in camp, with lions roaring not far away almost every night. Phillimon is equally at ease explaining scientific facts about the animals and then giving an explanation from the perspective of the local communities. This adds an extra level of interest to the safari. I would definitely recommend Walking Stick Travel and Tours (and make sure you ask how the company got its name).
