I was a little surprised at the shipping costs for a handful of samples. But excited to see them.

Quick shipping, good company!

I don't mind paying $30 for the sample but an additional $20 for shipping is horseshit.

EDIT: I was contacted by a customer service rep from Wallplanks. They offered to refund the $20 charge IF I edit/update my review.

So, in short... they are willing to refund me the money IF / WHEN I edit my review and make it less critical of their policy... but their policy is to still charge to $20 fee to anyone requesting a sample.

Until I see them change their policy, my review stands as written.

I had questions about how to remove the samples from the wall and the customer service representative was fantastic. Very nice and extremely helpful!

Easy to navigate

Our wall plank shiplap wall looks great in our beach home. Just the look I was going for! Great sticky back for the perfect hold. And thin enough to not have to remove the molding!

We're building a new home and ordered samples. WallPlanks makes it so easy to do this -- super great website and presentation of the different wallplanks. Can't wait to see the samples! And I'm from WI, so that's cool beans!

I was charged for the samples, when i used the #freesamples code. When it checked me out it changed and charged me, changed the code.

Good website--hope the product our as good as the website

I tried to order the 5 free samples by using the required discount code, #FREESAMPLES, but at checkout it automatically switched to a different code. I then paid $15 for shipping, with the most expensive shipping method was very expensive. I am afraid to order planks from you because the shipping cost will probably be even more expensive than for the samples.

Working with the salesman who was great, provided me the exact measurements for my installation,the process was easy to install and the end project became outstanding, I would recommend this project to anyone who wants beef up their walls

We have ordered samples and are very impressed with the product. Their customer service has also been very responsive. I'm hoping everything goes well once we decide what we what.

The product is substantial and good-looking...not cheap at all.

Review of Wallplanks Acoustic panels

The good
Really like the look of the installed panels, the look is exactly like I had imagined, and the sound diffusion/absorption is what I was looking for. The installation was fairly straightforward, no significant issues.

The not so good
Ordering - As with a lot of products lately, took 2 months after ordering to actually receive the product. However the website for ordering was extremely confusing in that the amount of product available actually had a small "minus" that didn't show what was available, but how many were on back order! This makes absolutely no sense to the customer as we have no idea "negative 9" actually means to us. I emailed the company and they responded with that is what they determined was the best. Looks like however they have since changed their website and deleted this confusing layout.

Another issue was even though I had not received my product yet, I kept receiving numerous emails to review the product. I received 5 separate emails asking for a review from the time I ordered until I finally received the product.

Product quality - Overall good, however there were some issues with quality control. For the acoustic panels, there is a heavy felt backing that overlaps so there is complete coverage. On one piece of material, the felt was glued incorrectly, making it completely unusable as there was no overlap. Fortunately I had enough to not need this piece. Also the sides of the wood are painted black, and on a lot of the wood the paint over-spray/overlap onto the surface of the wood was obvious. It took time to manually rub off all the over-spray on some of the pieces.

Cutting - Due to the very sticky adhesive on the back of the panels, whatever blade or saw you cut the wood with will become clogged with glue. It took quite a while to clean all my saw blades when done. Glad the glue apparently sticks well, but was not expecting the lengthy cleanup.

3 stars because nice looking product once up, but also not impressed with some of the other issues.
