Prescription sunglasses

I bought my prescription sunglasses at the store in Columbia MD. This is actually my second pair, I loved the first pair so much! Their frames are so sturdy and beautiful and the lenses are perfect! They are so comfortable on the face too! I just want to add that the girl that helped me, name is Raina and she was wonderful!!! I am just as happy with this new pair and I can still wear the old pair too. They came in so fast too to the store!

Warby Parker has to be the worst…

Warby Parker has to be the worst business to conduct business with. They will string you around sending you these friendly emails, but they’re just masking this for the side of customer service because there’s no customer service at all.

Warby Parker informed us that there was no guarantee of delivery or refund, or cancellation by email from Warby Parker. All you receive is emails stating “Oh, this is not like us.” “I can’t believe this is happening. Oh, please forgive us, but if you need anything, you reach out to us, and will take care of you.”

Nope, that is not how it works with Warby Parker. I pray that I can get out from under this company as quickly as possible and that this will not be dragged out like it seems it will be.

Wow Wow wow

Wow. Great experience. Sherri from the Lehigh Valley Mall in Allentown Pa was so friendly and very helpful. She actually gave me suggestions for what looked best. Never had that experience before. Will be going back and recommending to others

This review is about ordering glasses…

This review is about ordering glasses from their mobile app and their web site. I have no experience with their retail stores.

I recently found out that I needed glasses for the first time in my life. Local eye doctor quoted me $500 for basic no-frills glasses. I couldn't afford that so I looked online. Heard some good things about Warby Parker and decided to give them a try. Their app has a virtual try-on feature which is very cool and helped me narrow down my choices, but you should still do the home try-on because you need to know how well the glasses will fit your face and whether they'll be comfortable or not.

I greatly appreciate the home try-on service but I was disgusted by how dirty the glasses were. They looked like they had been tried on by a bunch of different customers and Warby Parker never cleaned them before shipping them to me. Very gross, and probably a high risk of spreading disease. I contacted Warby Parker about that but never got a response.

I did end up buying glasses from them, and the glasses are great. For $150 I was able to get much nicer glasses than what I would have gotten for $500 at the local eye doc's office.

Buyer Beware...

I ordered in the store, but there is no way to directly contact them. You have to call the corporate number and it takes 10 to 15 minutes for them to answer...and when they do answer you get a rude unprofessional person on the line who is not helpful. It took over two weeks for my glasses to arrive, but when they did arrive the store failed them in inspection. They did not contact me to tell me about the problem. I had to drive to the store to find out because you cant call the store directly. They also could not tell me why ths glasses failed inspection or how long it will take to fix. They said 2 people check them in the lab and then a final check in the store. After I stated my complaints the company did respond quickly and did satisfy my issues.

Customer service is pitiful

Customer service is pitiful. Website not as good as major nameless competitor. Depending on who you talk to they cannot find your info without last 4 digits of credit card number even if your last name only has 8 people in the U.S. with it. Altho one gal could find acct that way. I sent back 5 frames and said I needed to try wide for the one frame I loved. They said they could not just send one and said I had to go back online and pick 5...absurd.!! I sent 4 frames back to WP.
I took the frame that I loved to Costco for lenses as I needed them before i left on a trip and WP could not get them to me in time. Costco lab sent them back to store. They will not work with "cold frames". I have asked WP numerous times for an address to return the last pair. Gotten the run around. Their csr people do not listen nor read emails!!

I ordered contacts from Warby Parker…

I ordered contacts from Warby Parker and they initially delivered to the wrong address. When I paid an expedited fee to get them to the correct address they charged me. They now say that my contacts are back ordered and don’t know when they will ship. They offered no solutions. Terrible experience go to your local eye doctor because this corporation does not care about their consumer. It’s been a month and I have received neither contacts nor reimbursement. Customer service was terrible and basically told me they don’t care about my business.

Don't Short cut your vision

I want to start with I did contact Warby Parker with details of my complaint and hoped for a better response. It took time to realize the issue was my glasses and not the health issue I thought might be the cause of seeing well through my glasses. So, the response was too late it's past 6 months and there is nothing they could do. I don't like to write negative reviews; however, everyone's eyes are important. I cannot do my job without good quality glasses. This was my first experience with this company, I tend to spend more on my glasses but getting them quickly this time in a new state was appealing. I wish I had figured this out in the short time frame but follow up exams, testing and throw a surgery in I did not make the six month deadline. I was not even thinking it could be the glasses. I feel under certain circumstances especially not jumping to conclusions its the product, they could have done something to try to keep my business. The glasses get easy dirty and are very hard to clean. I thought dirt was issue, I have struggled with these two pair same issue with both. I can see a bit better through my old high-end glasses than these, and it seemed to get worse over time. The price point seemed too good to be true. It was, after going back to my eye doctor my vision had not changed but my ability to see well with these glasses is the issue. If you have progressive need, as well as light filtering needs, this may not be the company for you. I liked the concept; I liked the turnaround time and flexibility. However, quality should be a priority when dealing with your vision.

Make you pay for expedited shipping for…

Make you pay for expedited shipping for contacts then send only one set of the contacts and later claim the other eye is out of stock (two weeks later!) won’t refund the shipping or the order!!

The home try-on is a GREAT service!

Warby Parker makes buying glasses online so easy! I used the home try-on, chose six frames and ended up purchasing two pair of glasses with progressive lenses (one regular and one sunglasses). I love them! They look great, feel great and were 50% less than getting them through my optometrist. Warby Parker knows how to streamline processes!

Just Terrible

Placed an order for contacts. They automatically decided to change it from "astigmatism" to "non-astigmatism" despite my order history and my prescription, which is uploaded to their website, say I do have astigmatism.
I ended up canceling the order but it's a nightmare.
Also customer service is clueless will drive you insane!

The lenses are horrible

The lenses are horrible. They scratch to easy. And person at store basically said it is normal. I showed them my other pair of glasses that are like 10 years old and the lenses are way less affected from normal use.

Pretty expensive and not great quality

Pretty expensive and wasn’t happy with fit. I waited too long to return which was my fault. Ordered another pair And wanted to use promo but they wouldn’t accept it. There are definitely less expensive high quality providers out there

I am totally disappointed with WB…

I am totally disappointed with WB glasses, i spent 450$ on glasses but it is worse than my previous 250$ Prada. WB eye glasses i bought after 3 hours really hurt back of my ear. Now, it has put a scratch. So tight, quality is aweful. When you clean lens with a cloth, lens makes weird noises as if they will fall out. Really looks like 15$ glasses you can get from Walmart. I will never recommend these guys. 2 star only because staff was friendly. Otherwise this company deserves 1 star for expensive, low quality frames.

Updated: they adjusted it for free. Customer service was good at resolving the issue. But quality of lens where it is attached to frame still makes cracking sound when you clean even gently

Bad progressives & fraudulent use of my credit card

Bought my glasses in the WP store so they could measure my pd accurately for progressives. I have many years of experience wearing progressive lenses, and value good vision. When the glasses came the lens quality was poor with a very narrow field of vision. Returned them and paid the high price elsewhere for quality lenses.

While in the WP store, friendly employees also offered to mark my pupils on another pair I was considering and put them aside until I received the first pair. They said when I received my glasses I would surely want another pair and then I could just call to order them. I was quite clear that I was not ordering the additional glasses. Imagine my surprise when the unauthorized pair arrived a few days after the glasses I did order! They had saved my credit card number and used it to put in the order without my permission.

When I requested the return label, the WP site asked why and I explained my two issues. I expected they would respond regarding the credit card fraud, at least, but so far nothing.

The most uncomfortable glasses

As another reviewer below wrote, the adjustment process is a pain and not worth the trouble. The most uncomfortable (but stylish) glasses which never seem to fit. I have two of their glasses but never again. The overall cost at Warby Parker may initially seem less, but don't be fooled. With multiple adjustments needed, because somehow the staff never seems to get it right in one go, or even having to send back the glasses for an exchange, the time and effort adds up. NOT WORTH IT! My time is precious. Also, NEVER order their progressive lenses online. Just does not work. My two cents: look elsewhere.

Tip for consumers:
If you want progressive lens, get in-store service (do not use the app). If you need adjustments, get in-store service (do not watch the video which describes how to do it at home – even the staff at Warby Parker said that the video method does not work!). Service is generally great; the frames and fit are horrible. The material is really hard and will give wearers a headache unless it is properly adjusted, and the adjustment is a pain.

WP Fort Lauderdale

I recently visited the Fort Lauderdale shop for a pair of glasses. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful! I am indecisive and they helped me make the perfect selection. The process of uploading my prescription was easy and the glasses arrived on time. What a pleasant experience!

Worst glasses I’ve ever owned

Worst glasses I’ve ever owned. Owned two pairs and within a year both were scratched. These are the only glasses I’ve ever owned that scratched. The first time it happened I gave them another shot and replaced them with the $50 discount they gave me and 7 months later the new ones scratched and they offered me another $50 to replace. At this point I should have bought something better.
