Do not order from this company

Do not order from this company! I was promised delivery last week and was then told no it won’t be delivered as there is no routes where I live (Staffordshire) but I will have delivery this week and I will be made priority. It’s Thursday now and I still have not received a time or date for delivery and they are meant to give up to 3 days notice. I have sent numerous emails and messages via their live chat option and not once have I had a reply! It’s absolutely disgusting! Nearly £1500 spent and you can’t even get a reply back and they promise delivery and then don’t deliver.

Good wardrobe and excellent customer service

I ordered a wardrobe before moving into a new house and unfortunately I had measured wrong and needed to change my order. Wardrobe direct were happy to do this on their end so that I would not have to cancel the order, wait for a refund, and re-order again.

Once I received the order I threw out the packaging with the back panels in error. Once again wardrobe direct were quick to respond and advise they would send the replacement panels free of charge in a couple of days.

They’ve been extremely helpful and quick to respond. Wardrobe quality is excellent as well.

Frustrating experience

I can't fault the quality of the wardrobes, so, if you're buying to build yourself, I recommend WardrobesDirect. However, the lack of communication made our experience very frustrating, and two weeks were wasted. I had trouble initially ordering two wardrobes, but after sending an online message, Jack phoned me, and helped me sort it out. He has been helpful throughout, as my only contact, but my gripe is this. I ordered one wardrobe, and one wardrobe set, which included two bedside cabinets and a chest of drawers. I paid for them to be erected, but I wasn't told that they would be built by a different company, therefore, when I received the wardrobe (not the wardrobe set) late on a Friday evening, and the delivery guys said they only deliver to the door, my husband and I was really shocked and dismayed as he's nearly 70 and I'm not far behind, and there was no way we could have brought them into the house, let alone carry them up the stairs. Thankfully, the young delivery guys took pity on us and did carry them up the stairs, which they even struggled with. I received an email from a flatpack company asking me to choose a date to build my wardrobe. I presumed i had to wait until the wardrobe set arrived so both could be built in one visit. The following Friday the wardrobe set arrived, and the delivery driver was also there to build the furniture, but only the bedroom set. I'd wasted a week thinking everything was being built by the same company, but they weren't! The second wardrobe only got built yesterday, and unfortunately one of the doors refuses to stay closed so we're left to fix that ourselves.

From the very start, I should have been informed that the company outsourced the building of their wardrobes. We should also have been told that one would be delivered and built there and then, and the other needed us to choose a date with the flatpack company.

I'm sorry we didn't just pay the extra money and get Griderobes to install built in furniture as they were fantastic when they fitted our bedroom furniture; a totally different experience from start to finish.

They are scammers don’t buy from this…

They are scammers don’t buy from this company they ain’t refund my money they delivered a damaged wardrobe and I want my money back now!!! My order number is 007863904 I want this done or I'm taking the company to court. I just had an email from the manager Simon from Wardrobe Direct asking me to take down my review or he not helping me with my issue. Please people don’t buy from this company you will be scammed for your money they sent out damaged and faulty furniture and don't want to refund my money back stay well clear from them they robbed me of £1,274.00. Make it make sense I contacted the company on numerous occasions with no response and contacted the assembly team with no response so please show me evidence you have helped or offered me any gesture of goodwill or responded to any of my issues as soon as I put a bad review up now you wanna respond to me it is a scam company I can show evidence on my side how many times I have contacted its been over 7 months and I have to sleep on my floor due to all this I only want my issue to be resolved not played about especially I pay money for something that's not done. I contacted you on my friend's email to see if customer service would respond and they did please show me any evidence I have threatened customer service so why false claim all this time you have been blanking all my messages so tell me you are scam company and I'm not the only one that has experience this. My furniture hasn't been assembled or used so why are you lying I will explain my issue again not to you because you lot know my issue and have taken action resolving it for the people that don't know about your scam company I have ordered wardrobe, two bedside cabinets and chest drawers the wardrobe damaged a d half done they sent out back panel that doesn't fit plus missing scraws for a shelf that aint put on and LED lights are not working also has scratches on the wardrobe the bedside cabinet and Chester draws are still not assembled because I’m missing parts I have contacted about this issue numerous times no response I have tried calling the assembled team they ignoring my calls so please tell me how you tried to communicate with me when they have been no communication on your side this company I've been fobbed off constantly for 6 months. I have paid for assembling and 6 months in and furniture has not been done so please make it make sense you are a scam company until my issue is resolved. It has been over 7 months and the same issue I was sent out with a faulty and damaged wardrobe I don’t want replacement or parts I just want my £1,274 refunded back to me. My order number is #007863904. Simon, something bad is gonna happen to you for lying if I already knew this company was a scam I wouldn’t even dare to look at the website. I will report this website and get it shut down because in a day you’re like a bunch of scammers your company has sent out a damaged and faulty wardrobe that two of your fitters couldn’t even fix so please make it make sense. And the fitter that you’re complaining about is what I pay for I pay for assemble that’s what I paid for so when the first fitter came out the first time he even said that the wardrobe is unfixable and you can’t fix it the company needs to change it the second fitter that you sent out eight months later couldn’t even fix the same thing he told me don’t buy from wardrobe direct go to IKEA which I should’ve done in the first place even your fitters are even saying the same thing don’t buy from wardrobe direct and all the good views I see on Trustpilot about this company is fake wardrobe direct is behind those reviews believe me I know, I never heard anyone that had a good experience with Wardrobe Direct now I’m still going through Solicitor to try to get my money back I’m just spreading awareness so please people do not buy from this company. I repeat do not buy from this company.

We have tried everything we possibly can with this customer but he has been very difficult to communicate with, unpredictable, rude, abrupt and irrational in every communication to the point we are getting harassed on a daily basis.

We have supported this customer from the beginning changing the colour of his furniture 3 times, once before dispatch, then at time of dispatch and then after delivery.

We have sent fitters twice and completed his bedroom furniture assembly with photos to prove.

We have exchanged over 100 emails with this customer, offered multiple resolutions according to our terms and conditions such as replacement parts and to revisit to resolve any issues but he is not willing to comply with irrational responses, demanding money for compensation which is against our policy.

Buying wardrobes online is difficult

Buying wardrobes online is difficult, but Wardrobes Direct’s web site showed an excellent selection of styles with easy to access measurements and prices . Assembly to a room of choice was a BIG option in my choice.

I would not recommend this company.

I would never recommend anyone to use this company. I ordered my wardrobe in November 24. And waited for delivery , being told there was a delay still waiting at Christmas . I was aware of the Christmas break. Then finally get a date, but as you can not arrange a convenient time , they booked a date I couldn't make. During all this time I contacted them continuously by email as you are unable to call. Often not getting a reply. I finally get another date , luckily I could make it. Only to be told the day before delivery, they would not be arriving as my wardrobe was the last on the pallet and was damaged. There was a total lack of response to my numerous emails.If only you could communicate with them it might not have been so bad. Total lack of customer service. Date experience started was mid November 24 .

We experienced an unprecedented high volume of orders during November and December which caused unexpected disruptions in our logistics operations.

Unfortunately there were no dates available before Christmas so you were amongst the first to be contacted on our first day back to office on 2nd January offering you the next available delivery date which you rejected and proposed a few dates according to your availability.

We worked with you to rearrange a suitable date according to your availability which you accepted but unfortunately the order was damaged whilst loading the vehicle and we tried to offer you another delivery date.

As a result, you decided to cancel the order on the 14th January for a refund and we actioned this on the same day without any further delay.

From the time we started to plan your delivery and up to your refund, we were in regular communications during office hours and kept you informed at every stage of the process.

Unfortunately, these things do happen time to time and we genuinely tried our best to accommodate you.

Poor experience and bad customer support

Poor experience with this company and very bad customer support.
After spending a fortune for a wardrobe, first they delivered a door with a mirror broken that had to be replaced.
The installation was not good and I’m trying since November’24 to have a soft protector replaced since it’s scratching the mirror.
There is no phone support and all conversation is by email which takes forever and I have to send different follow ups.
I asked for a replacement in November’24 and I had to ask again 2 months later in January’25.
After paying £50 for a revisit to fix this issue and waiting for 10 working days as instructed by the company, the soft protector is still not available and I still don’t know when the issue with my wardrobe will be resolved.

Update 28/Feb: After waiting for another 5 weeks I finally received the soft protector (let’s not forget I had initially requested in Nov’24).
Then I had to book a revisit that I had already paid £50 and even though I gave 8 different time slots they were available only after 2 weeks which was today 28/Feb.
I mentioned multiple times in the emails I sent that I would not be available after 3 pm and today I received a message from the installer at 2pm that he was available only around 5pm so we had to reschedule to next week on Monday.
The “series of unfortunate events” (like the Sales Team said) never ends…

I can see that we have been in regular communication with you apologising about the unfortunate broken mirror door on delivery which we arranged to be replaced according to your warranty and delivery guarantee.

I can also see the assembly was completed and a satisfaction survey was signed for on 1st November without any reported issues.

You contacted us a month later about the soft protective strip on the side of the door peeling away.

We ordered you a replacement part free of charge but unfortunately it didn't get delivered and suspected to be lost in the post. We ordered this again for you which was recently delivered and your assembly has been booked.

We understand this has not been the best experience with a series of unfortunate events but on a positive note you seemed to be happy with the wardrobe and assembly as per our records and we hope you can consider updating your 1-star review to reflect some of the good points about our product and service.

Good quality and very sturdy

Good quality and very sturdy, the 2 men who came to assemble it were very polite and built it within the 2 hours I asked if they could take the cardboard with them and they did. Excellent service quick at responding when I emailed my ceiling height to make sure it could be built. Would highly recommend

Wardrobe is late and poor customer service

My wardrobe is 3 weeks late and my experience I have had with the company has been awful. You cannot ring them as they don't have a phone number on their website as they say they are receiving too many calls (I am confused how they can say this when nobody has their phone number). I had to email them 4 times to even get a response. I had to ask several times where my wardrobe is only for them to keep giving me later and later timelines. The fact that I had to ask the company themselves where my order was and they didn't have the initiative to contact me to tell me it would be late is just lazy. Just an overall bad experience, with still no wardrobe received. I should also add that their website says that all orders are being completed with the given time frame - this is clearly a lie as my order is weeks late.

Later, the fitter arrived and quickly built the wardrobe so fast, I was shocked that it could be done like that. Very helpful and would like to thank Muhammad for his expertise.
