“At Car Wash World Viborg (Falkevej) on 20/12/25 around 9:30 pm, the machine struck the folded driver-side mirror, forcing it into the window. A strong impact followed, cracking the glass and damaging the mirror. Tesla Car Wash Mode was active, and the damage was caused by abnormal lateral pressure from the machine.
I contacted the car wash immediately after the incident. They said there was nothing they could do on the spot " I was on my way to the airport" and advised me to take photos and submit a complaint through their website. They also admitted that they could see on their video that the machine hit my car. I submitted the complaint the next day but received no response.
On 29/12, I called again and was finally informed that all complaints are handled by another company, Van Ameyde—information no one had shared earlier.
I contacted Van Ameyde, who reviewed the case and later told me I must go through my casco insurance because, according to them, I do not have “sufficient evidence” that the machine caused the damage. and that´s based on a call I had with the represenative for the Van Ameyde who admitted that they are not customer care but they are legal entity...
Their position is that unless a customer can personally provide direct proof of the machine causing the damage at the exact moment, they will not take responsibility. Their final suggestion was that I use my own insurance and accept the loss of my bonus—despite the fact that the damage clearly occurred due to their machine.”
