It’s clear the owner is using the "it’s…

It’s clear the owner is using the "it’s a gamble" defense to justify sending out low-value items. To make your Trustpilot review more impactful, you should lean into the discrepancy between the cost (£119.99) and the actual market value of the item received, while directly addressing their claim of "transparency."
Here is a revised version that is firm, professional, and harder for them to deflect:
Suggested Review Draft
Headline: Overpriced "Mystery Drop" – High price tag for low-value bin items
I participated in Watch Harbour’s £119.99 "Mystery Drop," and the experience was incredibly disappointing. I received a cheap Avia watch that feels and looks like it came straight out of a discount bin.
While the owner claims to be "transparent" about the mystery format, there is a massive gulf between "taking a chance" and receiving an item that is worth a fraction of the entry price. Paying £120 for a watch that lacks the quality or market value to justify that tier feels less like a fair mix of inventory and more like a way to offload low-value stock on hopeful customers.
The company's response to criticism is that the mystery format "isn’t for everyone," but that doesn't excuse the poor price-to-quality ratio. If you’re looking for a quality timepiece, save your £120 and buy something specific. This "drop" felt like a total rip-off, regardless of how many YouTube videos they post to justify it.

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your Mystery Drop, we really want everyone taking part to have a good experience, that's always our main priority. But we have to address some points you have made.

We are very clear across multiple areas, including the website, “How It Works” page, FAQ section, and product description, that more affordable brands such as Avia are part of the mix. In addition, we regularly share videos showcasing these exact watches so customers can see real examples before purchasing. Its almost impossible to miss this information thats all over our website during drop days and all over our social media platforms. And we are very clear there are watches like Avia's in the mix in our community groups with 1000s of people inside of them, which are free to join aswell.

At no point have we claimed that every watch included in a Mystery Drop will match or exceed the purchase price. The entire concept is based on a range of outcome, from entry-level pieces to significantly higher-value watches. Including higher-end or luxury items would simply not be possible if every box guaranteed equal value.

It’s also important to understand that a Mystery Drop is built around varied outcomes. If every watch matched the £119.99 purchase price, it simply wouldn’t be possible to include higher-value pieces, such as luxury watches worth up to £3,000. The model only works because it offers a range, from entry-level to premium.

We always aim to be upfront about this so customers can make an informed decision before purchasing.

If you’d like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to contact us directly, we’re always happy to help.

I wanted to believe...SCAM

I wanted to believe, and I was a fool ...paid for the the "limited" edition and received a TIMEX...not even a good timex... a relatively new edition plain white indiglo that sells for around $15 on line...seriously not even anything remotely as promised...major scam vibes from this...avoid at all costs...don't waste your money.

Hey Benjamin, we really dont want anyone to have a bad experience with the drops, but I do need to clear a few things up.

We have never scammed anyone, every order is fulfilled, and we’re very open about how the mystery drops work. Brands like Timex have been shown many times as part of the more affordable side of the mix. In fact, there’s a video live right now (March 2nd) showing exactly this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AXJ2TUBXUg

This video shows all brand in each category, it was posted to all platforms, on our website and inside community groups.

For the concept to work, and to include higher-end pieces that can be worth £1000–£3000+ there has to be a range of watches in each tier, including more affordable options. We explain this clearly across our website, FAQs, “How It Works” page, and product descriptions.

Also just to clarify, we don’t have a “limited” category, our tiers are Tier 1 (£69) and Tier 2 (£119) and Vintage Only (£149).

As everything mentioned above is something we’re very transparent about before purchase. Feel free to contact the team about this via Whatsapp at anytime to discuss this further.

Kind Regards,
Cameron

I had a terrible experience with Watch…

I had a terrible experience with Watch Harbor. I participated in their blind drawing, paying over $170 with the perception of receiving a very nice vintage watch Instead, I ended up with a watch valued at only $40. That is a profit margin of around 70%. This feels like an absolute scam, as they clearly misled me about the value of what I would receive. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking to invest in a quality timepiece. Save your money and look elsewhere! I absolutely understand that there was no promise of a watch the same value of what I spent. This sight is very misleading. Well done.

Hey Justin, we dont want anyone to have a bad experience with the drops, but I do need to clarify something important here.

We share a vide to all platforms before the drops go live showing all brands in each category:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AXJ2TUBXUg

We also post tons of videos on all platforms being as transparent as you can possibly get about the drops and how they are hosted:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLSo0jQNKHI

These videos are very clearly linked on our website aswell mate, I dont understand how it can be misleading, all this information is also clearly written out on the website, and customers tick a box before check out saying they understand all of this?

We have never once claimed that every watch is worth the amount paid for the box, in fact, we openly say the opposite in many of our videos. It would be impossible for the concept to work if every watch matched or exceeded the purchase price, which is why there has to be a mix of values within each tier, including more affordable options.

I’m not sure where you’ve seen that stated, but it isn’t something we advertise or promise. We try to be as transparent as possible about how the drops work across our content, product pages, and FAQs.

If you’re open to it, please reach out to the team directly about this, as it seems like there may be some misinformation here and we’re happy to clear things up properly.

Edit No.1: Jason before you edited this review you stated you were expecting a watch worth the amount you paid as that's apparently what we advertised. This is still incorrect information.

I’ve jumped into a few of the monthly…

I’ve jumped into a few of the monthly mystery drops across both Tier 1 and Tier 2 and honestly, that’s where the fun is. You’ve got no idea what you’re going to get, and that’s the whole thrill. It’s a gamble, plain and simple.

But it’s not a blind one. Cameron lays it all out in his Instagram and YouTube videos…. What kind of watches sit in each tier, what’s possible, and what’s not. You might strike gold, you might not… and that’s exactly what makes it exciting and why I’ll continue purchasing.

Unique and Exciting Experience

Really enjoyed my experience with Watch Harbor. Cameron was very responsive and the package arrived quickly, considering I am from the US. I think the concept is fun. The excitement of the watch arriving and the opportunity to acquire a luxury piece at such a low price makes it worth the roll of the dice. Looking forward to participating again in future months’ drops.

Cameron will be especially pleased to hear your feedback, providing responsive and reliable service is something we take seriously, so it means a lot when it’s recognised.

We love that you embraced the “roll of the dice” aspect too. That mix of surprise and the chance to land a luxury piece at a great price is what makes the experience unique, and we’re always working to make each drop even better than the last.

Came across Watch Harbour on Instagram…

Came across Watch Harbour on Instagram and thought I’d take a punt and see what it was all about. Went in on a 3-month deal and now into month two — both watches so far have been solid, really happy with them.

Let’s be honest, we’d all love to be dropping £5k–£10k on a watch whenever we fancy it, but that’s not reality for most of us. This is a great way to enjoy different pieces you probably wouldn’t normally go for, without the big commitment.

You’ve got to go into it with the right mindset — same as sticking a few quid on the EuroMillions. You’re doing it for the experience, not expecting to make money. If anything, it’s just a bit of fun and a chance to wear something different each month.

Fair play to the guys, it’s a great concept and it’s been a really good experience so far. Keep it up.

I had such a great experience with…

I had such a great experience with Watch Harbor’s mystery drop. The whole process is genuinely exciting from placing the order to the anticipation while waiting, and finally opening the box to see what you’ve received.

What makes it so special is the randomness, it could be anything from a Rolex to a simple Casio or even a unique vintage piece, all for just £70. That element of surprise makes it incredibly fun, especially for watch collectors like me. Even though I didn’t get a Rolex this time, I received an Ingersoll automatic, which I really appreciate and enjoy.

Really appreciate the team for putting something like this together. It’s a creative and enjoyable experience, and I’ll definitely be back for more!

Was part of the February mystery watch drop & ordered a number of mystery watches. Very impressed with the packaging & the mystery box feeling. Pulled a luxury Omega De Ville within the group of watches I received.

I was also very impressed with Cameron and the team with the customer support as my order got stuck with Royal Mail for a long time. They helped me out, kept me in the loop and resent my parcel to NZ asap.

What a great company, my first couples of purchase’s have been easy and great value for money. I would highly recommend to any watch collector or any one wanting to have a nice and varied watch collection. I’m also really glad you mentioned the customer service side of things. We put a lot of emphasis on being responsive and easy to deal with, so it’s good to know that’s coming across in your experience.

You’re absolutely right about the drops selling out quickly as well. The demand can be high, so the pre-order option is something we’ve tried to keep in place to give people a fair chance to get involved.

Thanks again for the recommendation and the continued support, it means a lot and we look forward to having you involved in future drops.

Disappointed

Although I know it’s completely random which watch I receive, I’m quite disappointed with the watch I received. I expected a more vintage watch especially for a Tear 2 watch I paid €139 for (and also €24 import taxes).
I received a quartz Timex indiglo which I can buy new (the same watch) on amazon for €40
So quite disappointed I must say.

Hey, I really appreciate you sharing this.

Just to give a bit of context, we are always very transparent about what can come up in the drops. We show all the brands (including pieces like Timex, Seiko, OMAX, Accurist etc.) across our YouTube and content, and we’ve made quite a few videos explaining how the more affordable watches have to be part of the mix to make the drops viable overall. It would be impossible to offer Omega Speedmasters and many other luxury watches for £119 without including these affordable options, and I do feel like we explain this very clearly on the website, in videos, FAQ pages, our communities etc.

That said, I completely get that you were hoping for something more vintage in Tier 2 but we do show that not all watches in these drops are vintage, hence why we introduced a vintage only category, and I’m sorry it didn’t hit the mark for you this time, especially with the added import costs on your side.

Really do appreciate you giving it a go and taking the time to send your thoughts over 🙏

you’ll get a watch but pay way more then it’s worth!

Package was well packed and delivered on time. My first time using watch harbour mystery drop and the concept is great, perhaps I was expecting too much however for 109 quid I was not expecting the poor watch I was sent, an OMAX which I could buy on eBay for 26 quid max, perhaps if I bought the lower grade then fair enough but not when spending triple figures it’s not on. Will be chasing up……

UPDATE,

Although not quite agreeing with Cameron he was very helpful and issued a full refund so 10/10 for customer service on that front

We’re definitely not a scam in any way. Every order is fulfilled, and we put a lot of effort into being as transparent as possible about what can be included in each tier. The brands you can receive, including the fact that more affordable options are part of the mix are clearly mentioned across our FAQs, the “How It Works” page, Instagram, YouTube videos, and within our community.

That includes more affordable watches, which is something we clearly outline across our FAQs, “How It Works” page, Instagram, YouTube, and within our community.

We are genuinely sorry to hear how disappointed you feel with your Premium category box.

We completely understand that when entering a higher tier category, expectations are higher as well. The Premium allocation is structured around a mix of brands within the advertised lineup, with value balanced across the entire drop. Some pieces will sit at the lower end of that tier, while others will significantly exceed the entry price. The allocation itself is fully random.

Before each drop goes live, we publish the full brand lineup on our website and in our showcase video on YouTube so participants can see exactly which brands are included in that category.

Regarding your specific watch, if you believe the model you received does not align with the advertised Premium brand list, please email us your order number and a photo of the piece. We will review it carefully to ensure it was allocated correctly and that there were no errors during packing.

We take concerns like this seriously and we are always willing to investigate individual cases properly.
