I’ve been using the Megahome water…
I’ve been using the Megahome water distiller for some time, and overall it does what it promises. The build quality is good (stainless steel interior and a glass container), and the water comes out very clean. It’s easy to use — just fill it and turn it on.
However, there are some downsides. It’s quite slow (around 5–6 hours for 4 liters), uses a noticeable amount of electricity, and requires regular cleaning due to residue buildup. The carbon filters also need to be replaced periodically.
The distiller effectively removes most impurities, including heavy metals, bacteria, and many radioactive substances. However, it’s important to note that it does not remove tritium (a radioactive form of hydrogen), since it evaporates and condenses along with water.
It also has an automatic shut-off function — the device turns itself off when the water has almost completely boiled away.
Overall, it’s a reliable device that performs its function well.
