BEWARE: Hidden costs, no warranty, poor design. Sin garantía, costes ocultos, fallos diseño

I purchased a 6L distiller. The heating element on my previous unit from this same brand also failed. The first surprise after the purchase was the customs fees—an amount that was not disclosed beforehand. The second was the absolute lack of response to a warranty claim for a defective part, despite sending emails to the correct department.

It is a disgrace. Waterpure boasts about their product warranties, but the reality is they don’t even bother to reply to emails. They leave you completely stranded with a "figure it out yourself" attitude the moment a problem arises. Don't be fooled by their promises; once they have your money, their customer service vanishes.

I strongly recommend looking for other distillers within the EU, ideally ones with a timer to prevent them from running dry. When the water runs out, the steel at the base suffers from metal fatigue due to the heating element and will eventually end up coming unsoldered.

BADLY MADE WATER DISTILLER

Terrible. The water storage container handle that you have to screw in is loose attached to a loose cheap metal surround. The steel is cheap. I bought it for £200 several months ago and have struggled to put it together. Having done so and followed the instructions (THE WATER TASTE IS THE SAME as poor quality TAP WATER). Interestingly, if the machine breaks down (YOU THE CUSTOMER HAVE TO PAY TO SEND IT BACK TO CHINA). Disgusting Company and I too wish I had seen these reviews before buying. I will update this review once I have contacted ‘so called customer service’ to request a complete refund.

BUYER BEWARE

if I could give this company less than 1 star I would. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, 1st- amazon do the same distiller for £50 which I bought recently because this company stopped replying to emails when I wanted to claim on my warranty 2ndly I WILL TAKE THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT AND GET MY MONEY BACK, ITS VERY CHEAP (FREE FOR SOME PPL) AND EASY TO DO AND I SUGGEST ANYONE ELSE WHO IS BEING IGNORED DO THE SAME THING. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM

Buy cheap..buy twice...avoid

Bought as a replacement for an alternate brand that had done us amazing for last 5 years. This was sitting in a cupboard for a year then we got it out today...Firstly, build quality...simply dreadful. The jug, utterly useless handles, no actual 'spout' so frankly impossible to get anything out of it..most concerning is the 'burn' from the inside of the unit after literally one use....

buy cheap..buy twice...find another brand...

Excellent, speedy customer support

I have used a my WaterPure distiller for over 4 years without any problems. Last week I had accidentally broken a part within the distiller, I messaged the support team via their live chat on their website and they sorted me with a replacement within the next day, best support team I have dealt with!

Excellent Water Distiller

Excellent Water Distiller, the water tastes as pure as anything, works faster than my old one from another company and the quality seems superior too. Would recommend this distiller and company

Poor customer service...AVOID!!

Received mine on the 6th of January 2025 and within a month it started playing up. They responded quickly for it to be repaired but within another month it had completely stopped working again. Now they are ignoring emails as seems to be standard for them once they have passed the 30 day period. I purchased another one that was a lot cheaper from a different company so I had one to use whilst my waterpure one was sent back and I have had no issues at all and this one is being used 2 twice a day.
I originally purchased from waterpure thinking the extra price tag would be a better product with good customer service but I couldn't of been more wrong, just a white labelled product with VERY poor customer service.
If for some reason you insist on buying one from them just make sure you use a credit card to cover yourself.
This part is directly for waterpure as you seem to reply to some people on trust pilot but then ignore emails still. The last email I sent was 22nd March stating the 14days so you will easily find me. All I wanted was a product that worked but that's obviously too much to ask for so now I will have to play the silly game of trying to get my money back. I shall be leaving an honest review on every video or post I see across social media along with making my own, I now see why you have turned of comments on all your YouTube videos.
Would it not be easier to stand by your product offer the support you should and then reap the rewards of having a honest business.

Update as you asked for more info but it didn't upload for some reason.

This is the last attempt of contacting you via email and tiktok and as usual you just ignored it. ( sent on 08/04/25 )

hi i have just sent a email but due to the previous issues i shall copy and past here as well.
I have just received my distiller back but I was expecting a completely new base as this is what was stated in the RMA, I have attached a photo of this. In all honesty this is the only reason I sent it back to you, I wasn't expecting to receive the original unit back covered in gasket sealant. (Hope its at least food grade sealant)
Also in regards to my emails not being esponded to 1 had emailed via reply from the original problem but also as complete new fresh emails so this wouldn't of gone to someone on annual leave.
I can also see that the fan itself hasn't had anything done to it but that's fine the issue wouldn't of been the fan. The issue would of been the boiling chamber it's self. This will literally iterally consist of a heating element, pcb, thermal switch and some wires so really the issue would be heating element or pcb. As a educational guess I'd say something failed on the pcb. (Just to clarify I'm a technician so have a idea of how things work)
After all of the issues with this distiller and the complete mess around with emails also the fact I was sent one with the incorrect stamping (shouldn't be my problem) I would of thought the best thing to do would be replace the unit itself as was stated by yourselves.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company. They changed their name from 'Make Water Pure' to WaterPure. Check their previous reviews on Trust Pilot:
uk.trustpilot.com - review - makewaterpure.co.uk

That includes my reviews and I bought from them. A supposed 4l capacity water distiller which is not. It is 3l and they have no 3l distillers advertised on their site so anyone who has bought 4l has in fact to got a 3l.

I have tried to find information on this company.

They have no company address on their website. They give no official registered company name nor company number nor VAT number. I can find no Data Protection registration for them.

I have written to their email address to ask for their details and got no reply.

So as you cannot find them you cannot sue them to get your money back. It seems they have no real identity - not one I can find.

This review is being copied to them by Trust Pilot so let's see what they have to say if anything.

It is illegal to not provide your company name etc on your website and business stationery. It is illegal not to have a Data Protection Registration.
