Disappointing second experience after a previously positive one
I booked a plumber to fix a leak from our bathroom toilet, having used Waterworx before for an almost identical issue. Our first experience was very good — the work was completed the same day at a reasonable price, even though the plumber arrived later than expected. Because of that, we chose to return to them.
This time, however, was disappointing. We were told we were the first job of the day and that the plumber would arrive between 8:00 and 8:30am. By 8:50am there was no sign of him, so I called the office. After checking, I was told he was “stuck in traffic” and would arrive in 30–40 minutes. In reality, this meant he was around 90 minutes late, which I found hard to believe. He eventually arrived at 9:30am and completed the job by 9:45am — the same work they carried out previously.
My other concern is the pricing. I was verbally quoted £125 (+ vat) for the call-out and first hour, which, although I appreciate rising costs, this represents a significant increase compared to the £114 (inc. VAT) we paid six months ago for the same job.
The office was noisy and I remarked that I couldn't hear well, so I hadn't heard her say "plus vat" and was surprised when asked for £150 instead of £125 when asked for payment. However, as the job was now booked I went ahead and paid.
I emailed Waterworx with my concerns but felt the response was generic, didn’t properly address the pricing difference or the lateness. Also having heard while here, the plumber on the phone being told the customer wanted to “see what they were paying for” at £85 + VAT, (this was because the plumber was questioning whether to fit the new float valve we had supplied, or free off the original one) only added to my frustration, given we were charged £125 + VAT.
While I’m relieved the leak is fixed, feeling lied to, and the sharp price increase means I’m unlikely to use Waterworx again. Which is a shame as we had them in mind to renovate our bathroom and ensuite in due course.
Update: Keith has called me to discuss my issues, apologised for the lateness and given me a goodwill gesture. I appreciate the follow-up call and goodwill gesture.

Our Oil Fuel Boiler stopped working so I phoned Waterworx in the morning to see if they could help me. I happily paid the upfront charge as I completely understand how difficult and costly it is running a small business and we booked in for the next day. Steve from Waterworx called me that same day to say he was in the area and he could call by that afternoon!
It wasn't a simple fix but Steve worked his magic and found all the problems that had led to the boilers failure. We had heat again that same evening - which was really great because it was a frosty night.
Steve is friendly, professional and conscientious. I have now recommended Waterworx to a number of my friends.
I will be asking Waterworx to quote to replace the shower in our bathroom next :)

Reliable, friendly, professional and always easy to reach in emergencies – that is my experience of Waterworx over the past 10 years, and why I will continue to use them.

very disappointing and stressful experience with Waterworx.
• On 21/7/2025, I received a quotation for a boiler installation, removal of the water tank, installation of a shower mixer, and connecting the boiler to the radiators.
• They came to install the boiler on 24/7, but it was left unconnected until 5/8, and only after I repeatedly chased them. For a company that claims 24/7 service, the delay was unacceptable.
• When they removed the water tank, water leaked into my kitchen ceiling, leaving a large stain. They did not inform me, and I only discovered it later. I had to pay my painter to fix the damage caused by their poor workmanship.
• In November 2025, I found that the radiators in the master bedroom and bathroom could not be turned on because they were never connected, even though this was part of the original job.
• On 25/4/2026, I discovered a new water mark on the kitchen ceiling, directly below the boiler room. Water was leaking from the boiler, and the connection was completely loose with no seal. This has now damaged my boiler room carpet, wooden floor, and a kitchen cupboard, which is swollen and cracked.
• When I contacted Waterworx, their admin said they could only come the following week and that I might be charged £135 + VAT if they decided it wasn’t their fault — even though I sent clear photos and videos showing water leaking directly from the boiler.
• They also told me the two radiators would require “extra cost” to connect, even though this was never mentioned during the installation last year.
Overall, the workmanship has been poor, communication unhelpful, and the delays and unexpected charges extremely disappointing. I now have water damage, mould, and repair costs because of their mistakes. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Waterworx.

Waterworx arrived so quickly to fix my leak! I'm very grateful.
I removed a radiator myself and there was a faulty valve. Thankfully Waterworx fixed the problem and saved the day.

Keith from Waterworks came out to have a look and give a quote for non working boiler. Different engineer couldn't work out what was wrong for 2 days. Keith needed 10 minutes to fix it. Incredible service.

Boiler broke down. No heating and hot water. Was recommended Waterworx by a trusted tradesmen and they didn’t let me down. Went through to their emergency line and they attended within 20 minutes due to my young daughter being with me. Mel, the engineer, efficiently discovered the issue and fixed it within ten minutes. Mel was efficient and very amicable which made me feel very positive about the experience. I would highly recommend waterworx as a company, especially in an emergency situation.

Given me incorrect Customer informations on the certificate, requested for rectification, Admin person , Ellie- would not do it. I have not come across other companies unable to do this. She even asked for other information, unrelated to their work. No respect to GDPR.
We have employed them for a while for different properties, but will not do anymore.

Keith came out to assess my faulty boiler on just 30 minutes’ notice - right in the busy run-up to Christmas. He clearly explained all my options, including transparent pricing and the ability to spread payments over three months.
Liam then did an excellent job installing my new Baxi boiler and removing the old immersion tank. He left the house spotless and even locked up for me when I had to dash off to work.
Both Keith and Liam were professional, reliable, and genuinely helpful. I’d highly recommend Waterworx for any major plumbing work - top-notch service from start to finish!

Keith was really professional and helpful. With my scenario he did a quick video call assessment to my boiler and give me quick instructions for a temporary fix to use the boiler as usual to keep us all warm, and offer help the very next day. On this approach is really save me time and we don’t need to be waiting in the cold, he is so skilled and knows everything in his field. will keep using the boiler servicing provided by him and highly recommended him to anyone who needs help on their boiler.

Plumber ignored me for coming to re fix an issue after promising me faithfully to come. Stayed in practically all day waiting. Ignored my voicemails and texts. Rude and immature, playing fob off games. Do not go with WATERWORX or Gareth Redford, money grabber company say fix issue, then ignore you.

Posted on Checkatrade and had a call within 10 minutes for an appointment the next morning. Service was friendly, fast, and reasonably priced.
Would highly recommend.

We needed a new central heating system and extensive electrical work before we could move into our new house. They managed to do all our work in my ridiculously tight timeframe which also had to accommodate other trades doing their work. They did everything when they said they would. They did a fantastic job. The tradesman who came to the house both plumbers and electricians were lovely people and a pleasure to be around. One of the directors oversaw everything personally. This was not a big job for them, just an average 3-bed semi, but their customer service is amazing, and they clearly treat all their customers fantastically regardless of the size/cost of the job. The ladies in the office are also great. They are extremely responsive and very quick to answer any emails or queries. I wouldn’t use anyone else for any plumbing, electrical, or air-conditioning related work. And I was extremely surprised at the cost; I was expecting it to be much higher based on other quotes I had from companies that couldn’t work around my schedule. From the big jobs to the small they were excellent and amazing value for money. Five stars indeed!

Been using these guys for years. Never let me down, 100% reliable. Most recently Gareth did an excellent job and also let our manager's son watch him for most of the day as the young lad is planning to do a plumbing course in September. Went miles beyond what he needed to do, explaining as he went. The job itself was cracking.

I use Waterworx for all my plumbing and gas needs. So when I saw they now offer Air conditioning, they were my go to company to offer AC solutions to cool the house in all this hot weather. It was a very professional and easy install. Started off with a house consultation to discuss what system requirements were and the different options available. They listened to my needs and worked with me to find the right product. Bosch Worcester was the selected AC as this has the option of connecting to WiFi to allow smart home applications (very handy to be able to remotely turn on/off and schedule timings for when we are coming home or leaving. No wasted energy then)
The best bit, the price was fantastic. Way more economical than I expected it to be.
Very tidy and clean fitment. Easy to use and now no more hot and uncomfortable days and nights. An absolute joy to have a cool house in this heat wave!
Thank you Waterworx!
