So, in my experience trying to contact the local admin side of things was frustrating, and despite calling numerous times no one picked up. Not good, and didn’t fill me, a parent, with confidence. However eventually someone did call me back, and they were brilliant, and obviously cared about providing my child with a good experience. My daughter went on the “live it” experience. Prior she was nervous, knew nobody, and wasn’t keen on taking part in some of the activities. I waved her off unsure when the dreaded text would come saying that she was miserable. Well, texts arrived, but not ones I expected. She was having a blast, I’d not heard her so happy or positive in years. She did every activity, pushed herself beyond her self imposed limits, made friends that she’s still in touch with, and generally loved it!! She said there were no bedbugs (she checked), the food was ok (she’s not fussy), and the instructors were fantastic. Honestly I’d send her again in a heartbeat, it’s the best thing I’ve arranged for her in forever. Well done to all concerned, and a massive thank you for giving my daughter such an incredible experience.

I have just sent my second child to NCS. The structure has been changed, however I think that this has been positive. My son has ASD but was able to make friends, socialise, join in the activities and have enjoyed himself, despite initial qualms. I would thoroughly recommend using this as a stepping stone and providing supportive structure and a break for parents during the long summer holiday. Great value for money

This experience has been so positive for my daughter. The communication from the Admin side of things has been pretty poor, but I cannot give less than 5 stars for the 'Live it' experience itself.
My daughter had a fabulous time, she has laughed, cried, screamed with joy, climbed trees, swung in trees, zip lined, water fights, danced, sung and made some amazing new friends. If your teen is expecting plush camping facilities this may not be for them. My daughter loved the experience of sleeping on an air bed, in a tent surrounded by nature. The food was also very good too which helped. If the communication from the date of booking could be improved that would make the whole experience a 6 star one. I was constantly chasing to see if my daughter had secured a place after I had paid for it.
Don't let this deter you from booking your teen, as the experience itself will make up it.

Had an amazing time at the camp, we truly enjoyed the experience and made new friends. I recommend this to anyone interested in meeting new people and having fun taking party in outdoors activities.

On arrival abdi the group leader was so welcoming and so helpful all week. Abdi helped with me having medication on time and would always want to know I was okay. If I had any problems what do ever he was always there to help and pushed me to make new friends and talk to new people. The food personally wasn’t the best but was okay to put up with. The rooms were clean and tidy and all staff were helpful. The week away taught me many new skills and brought me a lot more confidence to be myself. My week at Stanton bowers outdoor activity centre was very successful due to the staff and friends I made. I WOULD RECOMMEND

My daughter had a fantastic time, she was able to make new friends and learnt valuable life skills. I enjoyed her excitement when she shared her photographs of her week. This was the confirmation I needed.

this was one of the best weeks ive had this summer, the site (Grosvenor hall) was very lovely and had a variety of interesting and exiting activities such as archery, a 3G swing and Jacobs ladder, to name only a few.
the group leader were all very nice and ensured we had friends within our groups, the dorm style was good for the residential and the bathrooms and showers were okay. we were given a lot of breaks which allowed us to chill between activities which helped keep our energy up.
there was a variety of food options for each meal, including vegan and halal options and allergens were listed on the menu.
overall it was a wonderful trip and i would absolutely recommend it.

My daughter really enjoyed her time on her NCS course. She made new friends and she has socially met up twice with them since returning just 3 weeks ago. She had reservations about going but she had a great time. Well done NCS.

I really enjoyed my NCS experience. I went on the live it experience(15th-19th July). I gained more confidence and I was able to meet new people that I will hopefully stay friends with. All of our group got along really well. I also learnt a lot of new skills that will help me as I grow up/in the future. The leaders were amazing and they were very kind and helpful. They felt like friends. They were amazing. It was very sad to leave them. The activities we did were so much fun. We also had activities that will help us in the future. For example, we did an activity about how to handle and spend our money properly. NCS was an experience that I will treasure forever. Best week ever. I would definitely recommend it because it's a very fun week away from home.

I think ncs was one of the best week I've ever had , not an exaggeration. From the people to the activities to the food always hit. The food were all inclusive and made for everyone to enjoy . Everyone I met were just delightful and excited to see them soon as we all became good friends in less than 3 days . The instructors also were the fun of the party always making us laugh , helped us out a lot and we're very caring when I got ill. Certainly know how to throw a suprise water fight which dragged for 40 minutes . The activities vary from climbing high/low ropes , to swings , to team working activities. The evening activities also helped me learn about the world and myself . The most difficult activity was the smoothie challenge but we got it finished by the end and didn't mind loosing funny enough.

My son had a great time! He was happy to meet new friends. He reported that there were many activities to engage in. He is neurodiverse, and it is exciting to see that he came back home more confident in himself and social skills. I will recommend NCS to every teenager who needs support with social communication and interaction. Thank you NCS!
