Erroneously based offer!
Anthony, was very pleasant and professional. However, after conducting the inspection, & receiving the key to test the vehicle, he was unable to move it down the drive for a test. He saw that there were no lights on indicating any problems. After checking with someone he said "the vehicle was inoperable." The offer for the car was erroneously based, and very low. The towing Co. man drove the car down the driveway the day after Anthony's visit w/o any problems! Please reconsider your offer; it was incorrect/not fair!

Our website provides an online valuation estimate, generated from the information provided by the customer. The final offer is based on the market value of the vehicle after a professional, in-person appraisal, which establishes its verified condition. During your appointment, our appraiser noted that the "vehicle when shifted to drive or reverse simply does not move," and this was a significant factor in the assessment. The appraisal also identified that the vehicle's mileage could not be confirmed as actual, a "true mileage unknown" condition that must be disclosed to any future buyer and meaningfully affects value.
We invite all customers to join the appraisal process so they can see what we see and understand how a vehicle's condition affects its valuation.
We would genuinely like to understand your experience of this. Did the vehicle drive normally for you, or had you noticed anything similar? Our team are highly trained vehicle appraisers rather than mechanics, and they carry only basic equipment such as a jump pack; they are not equipped to carry out the repairs that would get a non-driving vehicle moving. You have mentioned that the tow company drove the car down the driveway the following day, and without knowing what was involved in that, we are not able to comment on it.
