Process was okay. Was low balled on the initial offer, we agreed on a number that over $1k than what was proposed online. I had to come back to get anther check because the bank couldn’t read the numbers on the bottom. Matt was very nice and professional!

Thank you for choosing webuyanycar.com when it came time to sell your car. A three-star rating tells us the team who looked after you at our Pottstown branch fell short of the five-star service we set out to provide on every appointment, and we are sorry for that.
Taking the check first: you should not have had to make a second trip because the first one had not printed cleanly enough. Going forward we can pay by ACH transfer, wire transfer or Zelle instead of printing a check at all, with the money reaching your account within minutes. Our team should have offered that service to you and if they did not, we apologize and will escalate that to the local Area Manager.
On the number, our online valuation is an estimate presented in good faith, based on the information provided by the customer. You did not list any issues when you filled it in. The offer that follows is set against the verified condition of the car. Our professional, in-person appraisal identified 11 physical and cosmetic issues that were not reflected in the online estimate, including:
- Rust on the hood, both front fenders and both rear quarter panels, needing repair and repainting rather than polishing out
- A sagging headliner requiring replacement
- Scratches to the roof panel, two doors and the front and rear bumpers
Our team should have explained each of those findings, and what each one did to the number, before you had to decide whether to accept or reject our offer. We are sorry you did not get that conversation. We ask every customer to stay with us for the appraisal and see what we see, because condition is what moves a valuation and it is far clearer at the car than it is afterwards.
That and how we arrived at the figure we offered you have been escalated to the Area Manager responsible for the team in Pottstown, who is investigating and will be reaching out to you directly. The entire experience was hassle-free. I'd done preliminary work online so I had an estimate of my car's value and made an appointment at the We Buy Any Car office near my home. Matt explained why my car's value was actually a bit lower than the estimate, but when I showed him offers from two other companies, he was able to raise the offer to $100 above the other company's offer.
The sale was quick and easy, and we were on the way home in less than an hour.
