Pushed into buying a car with a fraudulent MoT. Dangerous - Do not Drive Defects noted.
A new clean MoT materialised from a different garage.
None of the eleven problems noted had been repaired.
These people were happy to let me drive off in a dangerous car which would gave killed me and others.
Ignored me when I exercised my rights under the Consumer Act 2015. I wanted a repair, I did not get this. Had to get the car back to them at my own expense, my belongings damaged by mouldy leaking water.

We experienced a very very bad situation with We buy Cars. Divan drom We buy Cars made promises which did not happen. 2 Weeks ago my daughter contacted We buy Cars with total honesty that the car does not start. Promises has been made that a quotation will be given to her and an offer will be made, a rollback will take the car. Divan never came back to us, we have to contacted him the whole time, and we told him that we relocated from Colesberg to Gauteng from the start, today only when we contacted head office there now is a problem with a vehicle that does not start. We leaving Colesberg in less than 2 hours with a problem unsolved

Well well well, I am not surprised to see a 61% average on a one star rating. You know what’s sad, we buy cars has absolutely no care in the world for any posts or comments made due to their size.

My experience of purchasing and now trying to sell a vehicle has been very frustrating and unenjoyable. My vehicle for sale some in my eye is in great condition however was an ex purchased vehicle from we buy cars. Well when the assessor came to test drive the car he told me everything that was wrong with my vehicle and they came back with an offer less than why was sent to me because of all the defects. Why was this not made aware when the car was originally purchased from them? That was kept quiet. Now it feels like I have been driving something thats actually nothing like I thought it was due to their view of the vehicle. To then be told its market related reasons, why did the price come back lower than originally offered.

We buy cars is not a great experience, they use their sheer size to bully the market. Soon everyone will realise what a joke they are. Go past a local car service center and ask if you should buy a car from them. You will get set straight..

Tried to purchase a car from the Riverhorse branch, getting hold of anyone or getting them to call you back was a nightmare. Once I finally received all the details, and chosen to purchase the car and the OTP had arrived, it was loaded with R50K of extras like extended warranty’s and service plans which only lasted 2 year but you would be paying them off over 6 years. After 4 weeks of trying to get the OTP is a state where I would actually sign it, I was told no sorry the bank will no longer offer finance on the deal. Worst buying experience I have ever had, terrible communication, and complete unwillingness to help, or reply to any email or WhatsApp. Regardless of all the loaded “extras”, of which some are mandatory, if I choose to have an extended warranty on my car that should be up to me to decide not you. Will never deal with any webuycars branch again.

I wanted to sell my vehicle, so I sent through the required information as well as photos as required. Then I receive an offer of R400,000, depending on the inspection. I took my vehicle to WeBuyCars Silver Lakes to perform the inspection. I received a clean report that indicated that my vehicle is in excellent condition; however, they are not prepared to commit the R400,000 even though the vehicle has been shown as excellent on all inspection sections as per the evaluation summary provided.

I did business with WeBuyCars in the past, and the service was remarkable, but this time around, I am shocked about this service, and please do not get me wrong. I do understand that WeBuyCars conducted a thorough initial inspection of the vehicle to ensure the quality of the vehicle for a new buyer, and this is the reason why I prefer buying my vehicles from WeBuyCars.

However, it seems that WeBuyCars realised the market share they obtained in the secondhand vehicle market, and this has given them a monopolistic position in the secondhand vehicle market. However, it seems now (based on my experience) that they have adopted their new stance in the market, and with this, their focus has moved and their service has deterred, which is truly a shame, as I loved the business model WeBuyCars has operated on.

Now I just hope that a new player will enter the vehicle market with the same business model to break this monopoly that WeBuyCars has in the second-hand vehicle market and hopefully force them to go back to providing the service that I have come to love.

Some people reading this might be of the opinion that this is just sour grapes because I did not receive the amount they originally provided based on expectations. But should I have received a report that showed that my vehicle had a number of issues, I would have accepted this. However, the issue here is that I received an Evaluation Summary report that clearly indicated all inspection sections as Excellent yet they are not predisposed to commit to the value as orally given, and this is my issue.

I truly hope I was an exception when looking at what happened to me.

The sales man Theo Gordon was very helpfull and customer friendly, he was keenly answering our questions about our vehicle of choice.

The vehicle that I bought was not inspected completely and had numerous issues. If you log a complaint via there website no one bothers reaching out to you and if you call the complaint department the call just drops.

I was all the way in Pretoria and having asked my dad to view and test-drive the car on my behalf - Tiffany's service was so exceptional, I felt like I was at the branch myself :) I was kept on the loop about all the developments, received the car in the exact condition they listed - no hidden surprises and documentation was also received in a very timely manner. Terrible company never listen to you. I sold my car and four times I have told them but they do not listen. Also the price they offer keeps changing and is always a joke. Steer well clear of this company as they will rip you off.

We had the worst experience with this company. End of May I sent my so to buy a car there then the car started overheating the next day,we payed over R10 000 cash to fix the car,lodged a complaint. The guy that helped selling the car said we should call the insurance company. After not getting assistance I complained to the guy but he now changed and said the insurance doesn't help to fix cars. As we speak we are looking to sell the car coz now the oil is leaking.i don't know what will break next. I never knew. Buying a car cash I'd be ignored by this company. I'm disappointed

Bought 2 x cars from these scammers beware and very careful buying from them have any car checked by experts , we got scammed with their fake dekra reports both cars had major problems not listed on dekra and 1 car the speedo was tampered with and is not working and we cannot get the car on our names very big problem , they refuse to be held accountable even with clear on record fraud committed , somehow they get away with this , they must be investigated
