You need to please fix/change the way…
You need to please fix/change the way you communicate with investers. Having no way to actually speak to a real person in your organization is ridiculous. Just my opinion.

I see that you looked into my situation after I wrote a review and provided a phone number. I apparently missed the number after spending a few days trying to resolve my issue myself. I spoke with, actually spoke with, a representative from Legion M and was assured that I could be confident in my issue being resolved by Wefunder because your system was overloaded. I was told through chat or email that a mistake I had made had been corrected, yet I still get emails telling me my investment is at risk for not providing my SS#.
Merc, I've tried to put my SS# in so many times from my laptop and desktop that I now get weary even using my secure devices and internet. The way I look at it, it's in God's hands now. Just seems a bit comical to me how there was no problem withdrawing the funds, just risk to my investment opportunity now that you have them. My money is on Legion M anyway.

Investor updates and valuations for portfolio overview
It would be better if Wefunder make clear agreements with companies about frequency and format of reporting. They state that they will amend the value of an investment after a round with an external investor, but there are examples like Vampr and Aptera Motors and loveseat.com where they are not following their own guidelines, when you ask the support you get a vague response, or something like ask an attorney

We have a team that reaches out to companies for updates and are working on making sure that companies update their investor at least every six months, if not more frequently like every quarter, which is what Wefunder recommends.
As there is no liquid secondary market for private securities in the vein of the NYSE, it is difficult for us to provide a dynamically updating value for your investment. The best way to approximate the value of your investment is to compare the valuation of the company in the round that you invested with their later valuations. If and when the company were to IPO, you would then be able to track the value of your shares in the way that you would traditionally expect, but know that this may not be for some time or at all.
We are currently in the testing stages of making our portfolio for investors more dynamic to display more realtime and accurate information on how their investments are doing. We hope to begin rolling these new features out soon in phases. We thank you for your patience as we work to make this a reality for you and other investors.

Investment funds being held by Wefunder
I invested for the first time with a company that Wefunder held the funds for. This was all new to me and I was very nervous not knowing anything about their procedures or this company. The funds were withdrawn from my account but the doubt got worse instead of better and I entered a request to cancel the investment. My money was back in my account the next day. I consider this very good service.

Great Site Overall
I love the site overall, and support was amazing and quick to ensure I was still able to honor my investment despite the delay in liquidating my funds, which would finalize after the deadline. Unfortunately, I have not been able to finalize my investment because I have not heard back in two days after notifying my support agent that the funds are ready to transfer. I would rate higher but this lack of response is becoming problematic as my workload is increasing daily and have very limited time to put into this.

Thanks for reviewing us. Returns on Wefunder investments tend to be longer-term, particularly with a convertible note or SAFE as you are waiting until the company goes public or is acquired. It may be quite some time until you see a return.
Investing in startups is very risky. We encourage investors to only invest what you can afford to lose; do not invest so much that it would impact your lifestyle or retirement plans. Every investment listed on Wefunder is much riskier than a public company listed on the stock market and it is entirely possible that you will lose every dollar you invest on Wefunder.

As an analyst of social science, I think they have a good concept, but using a 2 step verification like having Wefunder send texted code to the client phone and input it after logging in would be a great idea. When an organization deals with money and finance verification that are user friendly and provide another user friendly layer of protection is always a comfort. Best regards.
