Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts, we really appreciate the honesty.

We’re sorry to hear the bars aren’t lasting as long as you expected. On average, the Bob community gets around 10 to 15 washes per bar, but that can vary depending on things like how long you shower for, how much you use, and even how hairy you are. If you’re getting through them quicker than that, it sounds like you might be one of our super washers.

For those who do get through bars a bit faster, we’ve introduced our bundles, including a 3 month soapscription where you receive 4 refills, that’s 8 bars, every 3 months with a nice discount. It’s a handy way to stay stocked up while bringing the cost down a bit.

That said, we completely understand your concern and we want Bob to feel like good value as well as a great product, so feedback like this really helps us keep improving.

Thanks for giving Bob a try, and we really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, even when we haven’t quite hit the mark for you.

We hear you on the switch from traditional soap. It’s definitely a different approach, and it’s not designed to change your cleaning habits, just to make them a bit more convenient and less messy where it does fit well. For more targeted washing, you can absolutely still use it in a way that works for you, hands, direct application or even alongside your usual routine. There’s no “one right way” here.

On the lid not fitting after a few days of use, that’s not something we’d expect to happen, so we’d be interested to take a closer look behind the shower curtain at what’s going on here. If you still have it, could you send us a few photos to info@welcometobob.com? We’d be happy to investigate this further for you.

We really get that not every product is for everyone, even ones with ancient competition. Soap’s had a good run since 2800 BC, fair play to it.

We’re really glad to hear the service, delivery, and packaging made a strong first impression; that premium feel is something we put a lot of thought into.
We’re sorry to hear you found it harder to use than shower gel and tricky to build up a lather with the applicator. There is a bit of a learning curve at first, and making sure both your skin and the bar are properly wet, along with a few presses of the + button and some firm circular motions, usually helps get a good lather going.

That said, there’s absolutely no problem using the bars on their own if that’s what works best for you, whatever gets you the best experience in the shower.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, and you’re definitely not alone here, there’s a bit of a knack to getting the most out of Bob at first.

For the best lather, make sure both your skin and the bar are properly wet, then give the + button a few presses to bring a bit more soap through. Using a bit of pressure and scrubbing in circular motions should help build up a nice foam.

Once it clicks, it really clicks.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, although we’re really sorry to hear you’ve had a frustrating experience.

The holder definitely shouldn’t be constantly falling off, and we understand how annoying that must be in the shower. Like all suckers, Bob’s shower mount suckers only stick to glass or shiny tiles, so this could be why it’s not holding as expected. We are working hard behind the shower curtain to develop an adhesive accessory for the shower mount to make things more reliable across different surfaces.

The applicator should also feel easy to use, even when things are wet and soapy, so we appreciate you calling this out as well.

Hey Richard,

Thanks for taking the time to review Bob, and we’re sorry to read that you were let down by the applicator and shower mount.

The shower mount works best on smooth, dry surfaces such as glass and tile. However, we’re developing a new suction pad that will adhere to a wider range of surfaces. It’s currently in testing and will be launched this year.
