Ripped off by Wellesley
Ripped off by Wellesley, been asked to vote for a CVA. If you vote for it you will get 25p in the £1 back. If not you get nothing! Robbing Ba*****s. My vote is no to CVA would rather it go into administration than that greedy Ba***** getting it!

Another Ponzi scheme that's hit the buffers. Possibly the most expensive iPad I have ever "purchased".
False promises
i invested under the confirmation that the loans were backed with 'property guarantees' i.e Wellesley took first charge over the site, therefore if lenders are defaulting W should be selling off the unfinished site to repay investors, therefore monies should be safe
Disgraceful
You can be sure the top brass will not be losing any money. How can they sell the loan book to themselves?

I am one of the lucky ones my final investment with W matured in May. W still have capital of mine that is suspended so will only get a fraction of that back. I made an observation two years back when visiting in London. Too many designer suits and sun tans. I also invested in Bondmason who are making a very proper and orderly close down. Maybe W should follow suit.
Death nail..!
Well the day has finally dawned when Wellesley hits the buffers.....it couldn't have happened to a more deserving company.
Doubtless they have squirrelled loads of investor's funds, including those of us who had funds suspended back in April 2018, to keep them fat over the winter.

I have had bad experiences by investing with Wellesley, I strongly advise people to think twice before investing !

Mr Wellesley will be walking away a rich man, after picking our pockets whilst running the company into the ground. Well that’s my savings and daughters trip to Florida up the spout. The lesson here is don’t invest with the aristocracy, they are very good at risking other people’s money. Next time I’ll stick with FCA backed investments. Cheers Graham W, sure you won’t be loosing any sleep. Most con men don’t have a soul

I left a positive review in July but things have turned very sour and I am appalled by the sudden announcement that Wellesley is no longer viable. I am facing heavy losses and I need to think hard about whether I can risk remaining with any P2P-type institution even though the alternatives are hardly appetising.
Do the ethical thing.
I hope the people running Wellesley conduct matters 'The Wellesley Way' and deal with their investor's ethically and not line their own pocket's and disappear, giving capitalism a bad name again. I invested on the assumption there was a back up or buffer. I'm also waiting to hear news of a 5yr investment after receiving the same email as others and interest cancelled.

I had the same email one day before my initial investment was to be repaid after 5yrs and told it had been suspended and wait 7 days .
Very worrying and terrible way to deal with us as investors.
WELLERSLEY are you in dire trouble and should we ALL be worried???
I too have received an email advising…
I too have received an email advising that the monthly proceeds from my income bond will not be paid the following day as scheduled. Same thing as the previous comments advising further news in 7 days. I am worried as my investment is due to be paid back to my holding account in November after the six month notice period.
I seem to be unable to log in to my Wellesley account too. Very frustrating and extremely poor business practice.
Short notice utterly unacceptable
As with previous reviewers, I've received very late-in-the-day notice that my mini-bond and its interest are not be be paid on the due date. Additionally, interest on my 5 year Peer-to-Peer has been suspended with just 1 day's notice.
Clearly, Wellesley is in trouble and our money is at risk, if not already lost. The risk I knew of, but Wellesley's cavalier approach of providing advice within such a short period of maturity and payments is utterly unacceptable. They must have known of the approaching storm some time ago, so why was there not some warning at an earlier date ?
Very disappointed in their level of service.

Used the company for around 5 years with no issues, however, following their procedures I entered a 6 month notice period to end my mini-bond investment (a very substantial amount) and have my capital returned. Today, with my repayment due tomorrow I have received an email saying they have suspended all investment returns and my final interest payment and capital will not be returned, and to wait 7 days for further information about my investment. This does not bode well. Called them to try and find more details and was told need to wait 7 days for more information. Emailed asking for more information and for someone to call and discuss, bascially got the same information in the original email sent back to me. Stonewalled. Very serious concerns here.
Thieving company
This morning I received a message from Wellesley that they have no intention of paying back any of my money (neither capital nor interest), without any explanation. I have several investments with Wellesley, one maturing on 15 September, another one on 21 September and another on 28 September. I will see none of this money (a total of approximately £65,000). I have saved this money over 30 years before investing it with Wellesley, am in ill health presently due to which I can't work and was relying on this to help me pay the bills and feed myself. But I'm pleased that Graham Wellesley and his wife can sleep happily in their custom made beds after ruining my life!

It was so easy to contact them and they helped me quickly to sort out my query. Although I do not invest a lot at any one time (don't like taking big risks!), I have always had good rewards from them in the past, and will certainly invest again. Their staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them
Nice people
Nice people, know their business, helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
