Melissa helps in Chelmsford

I went into your Chelmsford store a week ago . There was a particular baguette I liked that had run out. A lovely lady called Melissa made a similar one for me whilst I waited. She was ever so bubbly , polite and made me feel a special customer, Wish there more like her. She is a credit to your Chelmsford store

portion/cost

Well,
the cost has nearly doubled and the size of baguette has actually halved........Surely you can't have it both ways!

So so

Called into the new Salisbury store. Sausage rolls were only just OK. Barely any meat. Didn't buy any pasties as they looked very mean and with a huge roll of pastry taking up all the space. No variety of doughnuts although apparently they specialise in them. Every else cake wise looked so so. The filled rolls looked good though. Thought they might also have a good variety of breads but all I saw were fast food type snacks and drinks on the shelves.

Not Vegan friendly.

Read online that they had Vegan baguettes and vegan sandwiches available so I went along to their Watford football stadium shop to buy some. Guess what? The girl there said “We don’t do Vegan sandwiches or baguettes”

Rude, Flat & Nothing To Write Home About

Good points: Nice looking cakes, bit of a twist on the normal, like cookie bombs and the croissant/donut crossovers.

However, Northampton branch, lifeless, rude "WHO'S NEXT" screaming dullards. No manners, no smiles, so rude to the customer before me and after me - claiming she hadn't paid for the food she was waiting for. Two tills, two staff, queue out the door, but one decides to back the other and stand by the coffee machine instead.

Breakfast sausage bap and a coffee meal "deal" is £7. Laughable.

Cakes in the window are in plastic trays, packed in twos, so theyre not baked/made on site, it's just mass produced delivered stuff. Tastes floury, no actual "cakey" taste to it. At least decant them out of the plastic travel boxes and put them on the display trays!

Won't be back again. Maybe if they had attitude transplants.

Having worked for this company

Having worked for this company, management is terrible, they employ people with no concept of food safety food hygiene SERVICE? food safety compromised! Don’t care attitude as a direct result of how you are treated, sent to multiple stores, which you must pay for, you can’t budget! Thieves constantly raid their shops, not a safe place to work! And on top of all the hard work you do, abused by shop managers with such ego! You will not be happy and it will affect your productivity and health! Do not support these vultures!

Wenzel's is seriously overpriced for…

Wenzel's is seriously overpriced for the quality of food.

I've been to Wenzel's only a few times and every time I am disappointed. the food lacks flavour. Thier conish pasties lack that spicy-suety punch and their ginger breadmen is overpackaged and bland. I brought thier snowmen cupcakes in december which was just a mint flavour overload.

everytime I felt I paid too much for substandard food.

Thier housestyle and packing is attractive thou however I feel like greggs beats them at everyturn except presentation.

Wenzels Oxford Road - lunchtime - nothing left!

Wenzels Oxford Road, Uxbridge - went today at 12.30pm - Saturday - hardly anything left - no baguettes that we wanted - only ham/cheese or chicken peri period available, no doughnuts, etc - visit was a wasted journey. Staff said no chicken available and said only what's left is available. Disappointed - won't take the chance of going again!

Impressive service

I use the Wenzels on Golders Green rd several times a week.
Their service is fantastic.
Front of house you are greeted by a "Rylan"lookalike who is continuously smiley and super efficient regardless of the growing numbers of customers in peak time morning.
Ably assisted by a team behind the scenes who seem to work at a phenomenal rate all the while keeping the ambience within the shop cheerful and professional.
They make tailor made orders that are second to none.
A pleasure to go in there knowing I'm getting a first class service.
Keep it up .

Quality had dropped

I have been going to Wenzels in loughton since it opened at least 2 or 3 times a week and loved their seeded baguette with chicken salad or chicken sweetcorn. However over the last few times of getting it I noticed the chicken mayonnaise filling amount has been reduced but about 2 week I got two chicken salad baguettes and they was literally less than half the amount. I literally had no filling in most bites just bread and salad. It’s possible they were running out of filing so had spread out what little they had.
I had read some reviews and it had said write to customer services to give them a chance to rectify so I did, but they cannot even be bothered to reply to that email. Hence I’ve written this review so it comes to their attention. It such a shame such a great sandwich place has gone downhill and standards have not been maintained.

Did not receive order

I placed an order online for delivery. I received an order confirmation and then nothing after that. I started to get worried as the delivery date was approaching I never received any message from Wenzels with tracking details or courier information.

As I feared my order didn’t arrive, messaged the customer service team and no response.

Good morning start.

Always get breakfast from wenzels. Soft and yummy baguettes and sandwiches. Now you charge 10p extra for butter on morning bloomer. Hence didnt ask for sauces as could be charged. So now its naked bloomer. Otherwise good food.

Wenzels drop to a new low instead of…

Wenzels drop to a new low instead of putting prices up they have made the sandwich smaller, I will not be going there again. All there interested in is maximum profit it does not cost a lot to make a sandwich , so why reduce size complete rip off.

Misleading nutritional information

The nutritional information on bloomer sandwiches states two servings! who buys a sandwich and eats half? Consequently the calories on it need to be doubled. Very misleading unless you look carefully. Wenzel’s sandwiches are 600-700 calories.
