Scammer

WeShop changed their terms and conditions without notifying or getting consent from their users, meaning after 3 months of user inactivity they close accounts (even ones with many shares in) and don’t notify users. Massive Scam.

Shop with Upside!

Easy to use, redirects you to a retailers app if you have the retailers app on your phone and if you don’t then if you have used the retailer’s website before and registered with them the process is seamless, particularly if the retailer allows Apple Pay.

Yes you have to wait a year before you can cash your stock in, but if the price goes up in that interim period then that’s an amazing bonus. If it crashes, so be it, I still had the goods I wanted to buy.

If Amazon had operated this way when they first started out, number one consumers would be so much better off and two Jeff Bezos wouldn’t be as rich as he is!

I wish WeShop the best of luck with launching their app in the US and also on their listing on the NASDAQ.

Scam of a company - AVOID

Scam of a company! I had over £3000 worth of shares and they deleted my account and told me it’s not recoverable. They sneakily updated the terms to be 3 months of inactivity and you get deleted. I hadn’t logged in or used them for a while because no shares were ever being given out. Then they did that! I can see a lot of other people have been hit with the deletion too recently. Very convenient since they’re supposed to be paying out the shares now! They will delete as many of your accounts as they can for greed so they don’t have to pay you. Now I hear that after waiting years for the shares to finally be on the market, you can’t withdraw until 12 months, which sucks for those of you left with an account. There won’t be much to withdraw once those months have passed. Absolute scam!!!! Do not use them!

I wouldn't bother

My account has £1400 worth of available wepoints but now they can't be sold until 12 months after the listing date. So after waiting 12 months for them to be made available I'm now forced to wait a further 12 months. Oh and just to rub salt in the wounds the share price is plunging.

SCAM - Money deleted

Scam - account removed for inactivity (i didn't buy anything for 90 days).

Account fully removed, and upon enquiry I was made aware by customer service that my WePoints and Class A shares were deleted and and unrecoverable.

They are not FCA regulated, which is unsurprising given the way they steal earned funds.

JOKE OF A COMPANY

I literally would not use this website anymore!!! I waited the 12 months to be able to withdraw the share back I had earned and just before I was able to in 2024, they changed the way their business operated and decided they wanted to list on this stock market! This meant I couldn’t withdraw the nearly £1500 I had in my account with them. Their comms about their listing have been sparse and not very informative at all leaving their customers in limbo throughout the process! The comms they have issued prior to being listed stated that once they are on the stock market, verified shares would be transferred to a broker account. They have now been listed on the stock market, which by the way comms came the day after they were already listed, and now they say we have to wait ANOTHER 12 MONTHS before we can do anything… I guess that’s because they know that the value in their business will drop when the customers they have annoyed on this journey will withdraw asap… oh and not the mention they changed their t&cs to state they if your account inactive for a short period of time, it will be deactivate and they will remove your shares

SCAM.

SCAM.

Closed my account due to inactivity, over £2000 in shares gone. The listing is on Monday 11th November.

Will be contacting the Ombudsman.

The reason I stopped using WeShop, is because they kept moving the goalposts for shares to be listed.

Easy to use

Easy to use, shares building up and excited for the company’s listing on a stock exchange. Has taken longer than hoped but looks like it’s close. Like normal shopping but getting shares in the platform when you use it. Simple and clever idea imo

All the 5 star reviews on here are…

All the 5 star reviews on here are fake!!!

None of them claim that they’ve been able to withdraw their shares and sell them for money, because that’s not possible!

But that’s the idea that everyone was led to believe when they signed up, including me.

The 1 star reviews tell you the reality!

All that happens is you get ‘fake shares’ in the app, which you can’t withdraw or sell, because they haven’t been listed on an exchange and we’ve been waiting for years, but a listing has not happened!

The company should avoid misleading people, especially with ads from ‘influencers’ who claimed they were able to use the WeShop app then withdraw cash! Very deceitful!!!

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE - Waited over 18 months for a process to withdraw shares to cash & then when I attempt to log in, the site have closed my account due to inactivity for 3 months.

The reason for inactivity was due to the long wait to actually receive any of my shares back.

Disgusting organisation avoid at all costs

Definitely a bait and switch scam!

Had over £7k shares on my account and was patiently waiting for them to get listed and to hopefully sell shares. In the 18 months of waiting (!!!) for an update, I didn’t use the account because I wanted to see whether it was actually worth it once the company was listed. I went back to using cashback sites until I knew more.

Saw the recent update and went to log in and my account has been deactivated!! The person on live chat said they’re deactivated after 2 years but I hadn’t hit the 2year mark yet (just under). My account was apparently ‘passed to tech’ for reactivation and I was assured I’d hear from them. Nothing. And now their T’s & C’s have disappeared!

Edit: Emailed them. Ts & Cs have suddenly reappeared and say accounts will be terminated after 3 months of inactivity despite the person on live chat stating 2 years.

Goods were delivered swiftly and the process of ordering was really easy to follow.
It makes no sense to me to do this any other way. WeShop is the future and the fact you get shares back as a thank you without having to do anything. It’s benefits all round.
It’s like placing a free bet. Big thank you WeShop for giving customers something back. It’s unique and shows me that they care about their customers. Big thumbs up from me. 👍

Deception

One thing you can bank on in modern western society is constant deceit - thought it seemed too good to be true at it's Inception, but ever the optimist gave it a go.

Now, seeing zero benefit a couple of years later it's clear this is simply an effort to exploit people's hope and push them towards making purchases on credit cards, thus putting more pressure on them and society.

Just one more cog in the wheel of a western machine trying to crush people financially and spiritually. Hopefully the WeShop scam can wake many up to the wider deception we endure today.

Conned out of £750!!!

£750 worth of shares that I have had in my account for over two and a half years and I cannot sell them as they still are not on a ‘stock exchange’ and they have not had a formal update about it since December last year!!

Absolute scam! They got their influencers to promote it to be similar to top cash back where you get your money back, do not go near this company!!

Biggest con ever

Biggest con ever! Do not use, they’re making money by us making purchases and we will never see any of it. I’ve made more expensive purchases as I thought we would get something out of it. Over 2 years and all for nothing.
