Absolutely horrible, non communicative service. Over a week ago, I placed an order. Naturally, my card was charged immediately and the only communication was an email receipt. Today, I decided to cancel the order. Having received no communication at all from the company made me very uncomfortable, and I didn't want to wait another two weeks to hear something. So, I went into the app to cancel the order. Almost six hours later, I had still not received an email confirming the cancellation. So, I went into live chat on their website. There I was told that my request to cancel the order would have to be "approved" and if "work had been done" on the order, I would not be able to cancel it. Instead, I would have to await the package, then refuse it, and only receive a refund once the parcel was back in their warehouse. Are you crazy??! The order hasn't been shipped yet! The goods are still in your hands. Of course you can cancel the order. Seems to me that Westwing is just trying to hold on to customers money for as long as possible. (Perhaps you earn small amounts of interest from keeping that money for over a month?) . But really, there is no excuse - no matter what "work" you claim has been done - to not cancel an order that hasn't been shipped to the customer yet.
Update: Went into the app again this morning, and saw that there was no record of my having cancelled the order. So, I sent another order cancellation. At virtually the same moment, I received an email claiming that my order could not be cancelled because it had already been shipped. Again, there has been no communication from the seller. No shipping notice, no tracking information. Placing me in the position where I will not even be able to ensure that I am available tor reject the package on it's arrival. This company is absurdly dishonest and uncommunicative.
