Disappointing Experience – Refund Request Ignored

UPDATE (14 May 2025):
After WhatGeek publicly responded to my review and promised a full refund, I contacted their support team and provided my order number as requested.
Unfortunately, their private responses contradicted their public statement. Despite their written commitment, they have repeatedly refused to provide or confirm a full refund, instead offering symbolic compensation.

It appears their Trustpilot reply was made for public image rather than genuine customer support, which is disappointing.

Disappointing Experience – Refund Request Ignored. I placed an order with WhatGeek on April 28, and it was shipped on May 6. However, the package was returned to the sender before it ever arrived in the UK. I contacted customer service and clearly requested a refund, not a replacement shipment.
Despite this, WhatGeek sent another package without my consent, completely ignoring my request. I followed up multiple times via chat and email, but they still have not processed my refund or provided a proper resolution.
If the refund is not issued promptly, I will have no choice but to initiate a chargeback through my payment provider, as the original order never reached me and I did not agree to a second shipment.
Very disappointing experience – poor customer service and no respect for the customer’s rights. I do not recommend ordering from this site.

Extremely poor service

Extremely poor service. Customer service challenging and I have been waiting for a refund for more than 2 weeks. My product was out of stock but I had to chase where it was. The site says co.uk but not a UK store and they are struggling to reply to my emails. Have had to raise a PayPal dispute. Hoping to still get my money back. Would not recommend.
Ordered 11th April. No product no refund yet.

If someone thinks that this store is from the UK, they are wrong. They only have UK in their name. I bought the console 7 days ago and they haven't even sent it yet. And I don't even know how much longer I will have to wait. I do not recommend

Poor delivery service

Paid for expedited shopping and under the impression the package would arrive in 2-5 business days like their site says.

It did not. The company used the .UK site as a marketing ploy. All they're really doing is drop shipping items from china.

Anbernic RG40XXV - whatgeek UK

Whatgeek UK where excellent at every turn. They sent the item earlier than expected, it was received earlier than expected and the price was on par with other places that sell these retro devices. It works brilliantly - all games installed on the memory card work and run with no lag. Fantastic product and excellent service.

Feel Ripped Off

Ordered a console mystery box what came was actually cheaper then the price of box
i got then anbernic 35xxH which is currently 53.99 and the mystery box is actually 57.99
i know its a mystery box but it should be atleast the same value or more of the price of the box

Absurd length of time between ordering…

Absurd length of time between ordering and order confirmation, and an even more absurd amount of time between confirmation and delivery. Order tracking doesn't work because WhatGeek are useless at communicating.

Furthermore after probably 20+ emails to their customer support probing for any update on my order, I'm still yet to receive a response.

Keyboard (Attack Shark K86) eventually arrived in a box that looked like it had been thrown down several flights of stairs and as a result I've already had to replace a broken switch for the spacebar which I can only assume was broken on impact.

Never buy from these reprobates.
