Found Whisper pumps online after looking local to me for a submersible pump. Phoned and was put through to Mark who assured me they had the correct pump motor I was looking and stated if ordered by 13.30 that day he would send the same day and delivered the next. True to his word delivered and fitted, water back on at the golf course.
I could not get the new replacement pump to switch off. I emailed Whisper explaining the problem and that I was not a plumber. Mark at Whisper called me straight away and asked me to check if the float was clipped in and if it was, to shorten the cable length. I did this (clipping it on) and problem was solved. Pump now works perfectly.
